Key Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Design complex high performance backend services using NodeJS
• Development of technical specifications and documentation
• Debug production issues and help maintain existing code
• Participate in on-call rotations
• Work with Bots & Automation team in building next generation bot runtime platform

You should be an expert in:

• Strong programming skills in NodeJS/Typescript with good knowledge of Websockets and data streaming services
• Experience with Java
• Experience integrating with third-party APIs
• Experience debugging/testing distributed microservice applications 
• Knowledgeable of technologies such as SocketIO, Kafka, Redis, RabbitMQ
• Experience building RESTful microservices
• Familiar with basic DevOps tasks for deploying applications in dev/test environments
• Experience with Git, Jenkins, and other Development tools
• Experience in Kubernetes a plus

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
• 3+ years of experience building successful production software systems

Overview:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Senior Java Engineer to join our engineering team. In this high-impact role, you will own the design and implementation of significant portions of our product development, specifically working with our Bots & Automation team to build a next-generation bot runtime platform.

You will serve as a technical leader and mentor for a small team of engineers, driving best practices in distributed systems and software architecture. Responsibilities:

• Technical Leadership & System Design: Own the design and implementation of critical backend components. You will build high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Next-Gen Platform Development: Collaborate closely with the Bots & Automation team to architect and build a next-generation bot runtime platform.
• Distributed Systems Engineering: Create reliable, scalable, and high-performance services. Your work will require a deep understanding of Computer Science fundamentals and practical experience building large-scale distributed systems.
• API Design: Design and develop secure, scalable REST-based backend services.
• Mentorship: Serve as a leader and mentor to other engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
• Operational Excellence: Debug production issues, maintain existing codebases, and ensure the stability of the platform. You will participate in on-call rotations to support mission-critical services.
• Documentation & Compliance: Develop technical specifications, architecture documentation, and ensure all software complies with strict security standards.

Qualification:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid understanding of Data Structures and Algorithm Design
• Strong programming skills in Java with good knowledge of multi-threading.
• Expert-level knowledge of Databases (SQL, NoSQL) like Cassandra, MySQL
• Experience with Data Processing frameworks like Kafka, Airflow, Apache Spark, Hadoop
