About this job

As Technical Portfolio Analyst you will be an integral part of the team accountable for the daily loan book operations of JUMO. You will work with various areas to implement portfolio and asset management decisions in order to optimise financial return, within the set risk appetite, and increase financial inclusion.  

You will work within a small high-performance results orientated team engaging across the Portfolio and Prediction department, and you will report to the Head of Portfolio Enablement.

You will 

• Contribute to the ongoing operational implementation of Portfolio Management and Asset Management decisions.
• Work with product and technical teams to implement business requirements from Portfolio and Asset Management teams.
• Use data insights, be able to troubleshoot portfolio issues and assist with remedial action as well adding additional reporting and alarming.
• Work within the existing Portfolio Strategy Service to optimise the current process  as well as contribute to the evolution of the service itself.
• Provide support and assist with complex problem solving across various teams using your technical coding skills.
• Be able to work independently and be bold enough to challenge the status quo even outside of your domain.
• Learn new technologies, business concepts and innovate.

You will need

• A Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Engineering or equivalent tertiary degree 
• To be capable to evolve current process & look towards what next generation service looks like 
• Working knowledge of SQL and/or relevant RDBMS technology such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redshift and SQL Server 
• Understanding of the credit lifecycle
• Effective communication skills in technical concepts
• To be adaptable in a fast-paced environment

Bonus if you have 

• Proficiency in Python or another programming language
• Ability to work with Github and JIRA
• Proven ability to work with diverse teams to ensure effective implementation of projects
• Relevant work experience

About this job

We’re looking for a Junior Product Manager to join our growing product team. In this role, you’ll take ownership of product features and initiatives, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the strategic direction of our product. You will have a strong understanding of product development processes and are ready to drive results, while continuing to grow your leadership and strategic thinking skills. This position will be remote and will report directly to the Head of Products // Core.

You will 

• Be responsible for Product Ownership: Own the end-to-end lifecycle of features or products; from ideation and requirements gathering to launch and iteration.
• Contribute to Roadmap Development: Help shape and maintain the product roadmap, aligning with business goals and customer needs.
• Engage in Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, marketing, sales, portfolio, in-country teams, and support teams to deliver high-impact products.
• Have a Customer Focus: Work with customer research teams to conduct user research, gather feedback, and analyze data to understand customer pain points and identify opportunities.
• Drive Execution & Delivery: Write clear product requirements, prioritize the backlog, and ensure timely and high-quality delivery with development teams.
• Monitor Metrics & Analytics: Define success metrics, monitor product performance, and use data to inform decisions. Ensure key focus on early detection of problems and rollout swift remediations.
• Manage Stakeholder Communication: Regularly update stakeholders on progress, product changes, and outcomes.

You will need

• 2 - 4 years of product management experience, preferably in a technology-driven environment.
• Proven ability to translate complex user needs into simple, scalable product solutions.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Technical understanding to effectively collaborate with engineers (coding not required).
• To be comfortable working independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus if you have 

• Experience in fintech.
• Background in UX design, data analysis, or software development.
• Knowledge of tools like Jira, Confluence, Figma, Excel, and SQL.
