As we grow, we’re seeking skilled, compassionate licensed mental health professionals to join our remote care team. If you're a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) (or equivalent license) looking to make an impact through virtual care, we’d love to connect. 

Our ability to provide supervision for non-independent mental health professionals varies by state and license, but we also encourage you to apply. We try to support non-independent licensees when possible. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct diagnostic assessments and collaboratively develop evidence-based treatment plans
• Provide individual psychotherapy sessions via secure telehealth platforms
• Support Members with a wide range of mental health needs, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship challenges with flexibility to work with members with substance use disorders at times.
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
• Coordinate care as needed and contribute to a supportive, multidisciplinary environment
• Participate in clinical team meetings and optional case consultations
• Adhere to HIPAA and all applicable state licensure regulations
  
  

Requirements:

• Active and verifiable license (LPC, LMHC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) in the state(s) where you practice, as well as your state of residence.  All credentials must be verified through the State Board’s website as part of the application process
• Experience providing psychotherapy in outpatient, private practice, or telehealth settings
• Strong communication and clinical skills with a person-centered, trauma-informed approach
• Comfort with EMRs, Google Suite or Microsoft Office, and telehealth tools
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting with professionalism and integrity
• Have a private, HIPAA-compliant workspace and reliable internet

• The salary range for this full-time position is $60,000 - $80,000 and will commensurate with experience and professional license.

Telehealth Substance Use Disorder Counselor – Remote

We’re looking for compassionate and motivated Telehealth Substance Use Disorder (SUD) Counselors to deliver virtual individual and group counseling sessions that support recovery and promote wellness.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct intake assessments to evaluate Member readiness and determine appropriate level of care
  
  
• Facilitate group and one-on-one counseling sessions using Affect’s evidence-based curriculum
  
  
• Provide crisis support and coordinate appropriate referrals when needed
  
  
• Maintain timely, accurate documentation in our electronic medical record (EMR) system
  
  
• Collaborate with clinical supervisors on individualized treatment and discharge planning
  
  
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and all relevant state regulations
  
  

Requirements:

• Active and verifiable counseling license or certification in your practicing state, as well as your state of residence.  All credentials must be verified through the State Board's website as part of the application process
  
  
• Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Suite, EMR systems, and telehealth platforms

About the Role:

As a PMHNP, you will lead member care alongside a team of counselors, therapists, peer support specialists, and case managers. You’ll provide evidence-based treatment for individuals with substance use disorders and mental health disorders.

We do not prescribe controlled substances other than Suboxone for the treatment of Opioid Use Disorder. Affect provides extensive training on evidence-based approaches to treatment, though medication decisions are ultimately made at the provider’s discretion in collaboration with the member. You must hold an active, unrestricted license in the state where you're applying.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct initial and follow up telehealth evaluations
  
  
• Deliver care for both substance use and mental health conditions.
  
  
• Prescribe medications as appropriate and answer member questions.
  
  
• Complete documentation in our EHR (Healthie).
  
  
• Collaborate with your care team and attend occasional scheduled team meetings.
  
  

Requirements:

• Licensed PMHNP (Medicaid enrollment is a plus).
  
  
• At least 2 years of experience, ideally in addiction or mental health treatment. We will consider relevant previous experience for those with less than 2 years experience as a PMHNP.
  
  
• Experience prescribing Suboxone and active DEA registration.
  
  
• Willingness to obtain multi-state licensure (cost covered by Affect).
  
  
• Empathy for members facing behavioral health challenges.
  
  
• Comfort using technology, including EHRs and mobile apps.

You’ll need a quiet, private office with a reliable internet connection for HIPAA-compliant telehealth visits. The role may include periodic meetings with internal teams; reasonable accommodations are available as needed.
