About the Role
As a Platform Engineer on the Infrastructure Team, you’ll be responsible for managing our internal platforms that enable our developers to build, deploy and manage applications efficiently, streamlining the software development cycle. You’ll also take the initiative to explore and automate different ways to resolve an issue, and systematically find the most efficient and effective way to do it.
As a key member of the Infrastructure Team, you’ll:
- Be responsible for managing the on-prem and cloud-based server fleet.
- Tuning and optimization of both the OS and hardware
- Work closely with the various developer teams to ensure applications run optimally
- Automate as much as possible
- Improve the current monitoring stack
We’d love for you to have:
- Advanced knowledge of Linux (CentOS/RHEL 7x,8x preferred), focused on automation, systems engineer and performance tuning
- Performance benchmarking
- Knowledge of Low latency networking, onload (Solarflare/Xilinx)
- Experience with system tuning tools like perf
- Fluency with scripting languages (bash, python, ruby)
- Working knowledge of the network protocols
- Experience with configuration management tools (puppet, ansible, chef)
It will be highly useful if you have prior experience in the following technologies:
- Configuration management tools like Puppet/Chef/Ansible
- Containerization
- Google Cloud Platform
- Kubernetes
- C++ toolchain (gcc, clang, cmake, conan)

About the Role:
Our UI is the mission-critical window into Grasshopper’s high frequency trading and risk management engines. As a UI Software Engineer, you will be responsible for building and scaling real-time web interfaces that process tens of millions of messages daily. This isn't just a dashboard; it is a high-throughput monitoring and execution tool where every millisecond and every pixel matters. You will ensure our traders and risk managers have a robust, low-latency, and highly reliable view of the markets to make split-second decisions that directly impact our trading performance.
As a key member of the UI Engineering Team, you’ll:
- Develop and optimise high-performance, real-time web applications using Angular and RxJS
- Architect systems capable of handling massive data streams (10M+ messages/day) without compromising UI responsiveness or stability
- Work closely with traders and risk managers to translate complex financial requirements into intuitive, robust interactive tools
- Write clean, testable, and highly performant code with a deep focus on memory management and execution efficiency
- Collaborate with backend engineering teams to define efficient data schemas and streaming protocols
- Maintain a high bar for attention to detail, recognising that UI errors can have direct financial consequences in a live trading environment
We’d love for you to have:
- At least 3+ years of experience in professional software development with a focus on modern frontend frameworks
- Deeply familiarity with reactive programming patterns, state management and managing complex data flows in high-frequency environments with Angular/RxJS or React
- Exceptional understanding of computer science fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and asynchronous programming
- Experience in profiling and optimising web applications (e.g., minimising change detection cycles, managing memory leaks, optimising bundle sizes).
- Strong experience with TypeScript, Unit Testing and CI/CD pipelines
- A track record of solving complex technical challenges with creative, scalable solutions
Nice to haves:
- Familiarity with financial markets, trading concepts, or risk management systems
- Knowledge of low-latency communication protocols
- Experience with data visualisation libraries (e.g., D3.js, Chart.js) for real-time charting
- Basic understanding of backend languages like C++, Rust, or Python

About the Role:
As a Site Reliability Engineer on the Infrastructure Team, you will play a key role in strengthening the reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of our platform. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design, build, and operate robust systems across our Google Cloud and on-premise infrastructure, with a focus on observability, automation, and production stability.
As a key member of the Infrastructure Team, you’ll:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust observability systems, including monitoring, logging, tracing and alerting, to ensure high availability, rapid incident detection, and deep system visibility across all services.
- Architect, develop and maintain scalable solutions on Google Cloud and on-premise infrastructure
- Advancing and supporting our research platform capabilities
- Investigate infrastructure/application issues on a live production system
- Working together with developers to improve our development environment, including CI/CD, built tools, etc.
- Help drive an SRE mindset within the organisation
We’d love for you to have:
- 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Platform, SRE, or Infrastructure Engineering.
- Experience working in a trading, research, or compute-intensive environment (e.g., research platforms, backtesting systems, large-scale batch processing, or AI/ML workloads) is preferred.
- Solid engineering fundamentals in Linux, systems, networking, debugging, and distributed systems.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a structured approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
- Practical experience operating and supporting Kubernetes-based systems in production.
- Familiarity with GitOps workflows, using tools such as Argo CD and CI/CD platforms (e.g., GitLab CI).
- Good understanding of cloud infrastructure (GCP or AWS), including deployment, scaling, and basic networking concepts.
- Programming experience in Python or Go, with a focus on automation and reliability tooling.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with attention to detail.
- Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working in a fast-moving technical environment.
- Curiosity and willingness to learn new systems, tools, and technologies.
It will be highly useful if you have prior experience in the following technologies:
- Previous exposure to kubernetes operators.
- Experience with clean and maintainable Terraform for declarative infrastructure management.
- Prior knowledge and experience in on-premises bare metal environments.
- Familiarity with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Experience with Argo-CD and Argo Workflows for workflow automation.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and or OpenTelemetry (OTel) ecosystem.
- Familiarity with RedHat and CentOS-based Linux distributions.
- Prior contributions to open-source projects..
- Experience working with large-scale workflow, batch, or HPC-style compute workloads, including scheduling and execution reliability.

About the Role:
The risk systems play an integral part in Grasshopper’s trades. As part of the team, you will be assisting in scaling and evolving our risk systems, contributing and working on our in-house platform to better support our traders and risk managers to help them make key, informed decisions.
As a key member of the Risk Engineering Team, you’ll:
- Improve the existing system by introducing new feature requirements
- Work closely with the risk managers to ensure requirements and features are met
- Develop a deep understanding of the complete trading platform and work closely with other technical teams
- Ensure day-to-day operations are running smoothly
- Help drive process and operational discussions
We’d love for you to have:
- A minimum of 2+ years of experience working with Python
- Familiar with Django and other Python-based frameworks
- Robust knowledge of relational databases and SQL
- Strong fundamental knowledge of OOP programming, algorithms, data structures and design patterns
- Solid understanding of Git, CI/CD and unit testing
- Basic Linux experience
Nice to haves:

About the Role:
As we continue to grow, Grasshopper seeks for a highly skilled Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst with experience in quant risk management to join our team. As a Senior Quantitative Risk Analyst, you will design, implement, and maintain real-time risk models that ensure robust control over market, liquidity, and execution risks across global markets. You will build VaR frameworks, perform stress testing, calibrate volatility curves, and develop market risk analytics to support scalable, automated trading strategies.
The ideal candidate brings risk assessment and management expertise in addition to a critical, quantitative, and proactive hands-on approach. You will also sculpt the tools by which to measure, handle and mitigate these risks.
As a member of the Risk Team, you’ll:
- Work closely with trading teams, developers, and trading operation team to measure and manage risk and sculpt the future
- Cover day to day risk requests, consultations, troubleshoot issues, help trading teams, deal with brokers /exchanges, investigate strategies, monitor exposures
- Identify key risks in algorithmic strategies, and devise risk mitigating solutions
- Lead the design and improvement of margin, stress, credit, liquidity and exposure models across asset classes
- Develop pricing, volatility and risk-sensitivity analytics for derivatives
- Convert model frameworks into robust, scalable Python code and oversee integration into production systems
We’d love for you to have:
- 6 - 8 years of institutional risk management and/or trading experience from a multi-asset proprietary trading firm, multi-strategy hedge fund, asset manager, or investment bank.
- Familiarity with exchange connectivity/trading systems
- Experience with electronic trading risk and algorithmic trading risk
- Knowledge of quantitative finance and a strong understanding of probability and statistics
- Strong academic record with a Degree (or equivalent) or concentration in a scientific and/or mathematical discipline. Experience or qualifications relating to quantitative finance are highly preferred.
- Comfortable with communicating with broad spectrum of stakeholders, including traders, technical staff, and external parties
- Experience with 3rd party risk management calculation platforms helpful (E.g. Barra, Axioma, or RiskMetrics etc)
- Knowledge of trade practice and country risk
