About the role
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer (Unity / C#) to build and scale a 3D Human Machine Interface (HMI) and its supporting content delivery pipeline for real-world autonomous vehicle systems.
At Gatik, our autonomy systems are deployed in live, commercial operations, and this role sits at the intersection of visualization, tooling, and system observability. You will be building interfaces that enable engineers and operators to monitor, debug, and understand autonomy behavior in real time, directly impacting how quickly and safely we can iterate on our technology.
This is not a traditional game development role. While the work leverages Unity and real-time 3D systems, the focus is on building scalable, production-grade systems and tools that integrate with autonomy, simulation, and data platforms. You’ll take ownership of key parts of the system from CI-driven asset pipelines to real-time visualization and work closely with cross-functional teams across autonomy, infrastructure, and product.

What you'll do
- Develop and extend a 3D HMI application in Unity, designed to scale with increasing system complexity and feature scope
- Build interactive user interfaces to visualize and monitor autonomous vehicle systems (e.g., perceived objects, system health, vehicle decisions)
- Design and implement scalable user interaction tools for testing, debugging, and system introspection
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for Unity, including automated asset builds and content publishing (e.g., Unity Cloud Build or similar)
- Develop Unity Editor tools and scripts (C#) for asset generation, build automation, and developer workflows
- Integrate with content delivery systems (e.g., Unity Addressables, Cloud Content Delivery) for versioned asset management
- Work across the full application, building features, improving architecture, fixing bugs, and optimizing performance
- Collaborate cross-functionally with design, backend, and autonomy teams on system architecture and feature development
- Contribute to architectural decisions around content versioning, incremental builds, and runtime asset loading
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- 4+ years of experience with Unity and C#
- Strong experience with Unity Editor scripting (custom inspectors, editor windows, build tooling)
- Experience building and maintaining scalable systems (performance, architecture, maintainability)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines, ideally for Unity or similar environments
- Ability to ramp quickly in existing codebases and operate independently
- Experience shipping production grade software, not just prototypes
Bonus Qualifications
- Experience with Unity Addressables and Cloud Content Delivery (CCD)
- Familiarity with network communication protocols (IPC, gRPC, UDP, etc.)
- Experience working with maps, OpenStreetMap data, or procedural 3D asset generation
- Background in real-time visualization systems (non-gaming preferred)
- Experience working in small, fast-moving teams with high ownership
Salary Ranges - $170,000- $230,000

About the role
We are seeking a Senior AI Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and scale the high-performance AI platform powering our autonomous driving models. - Distributed Training & ML Systems Support
- Scale Research Workloads: Enable researchers to scale complex models (VLA, World Models) across multi-node setups using PyTorch Distributed, and Ray Train.
- Performance Optimization: Architect and optimize multi-GPU setups, ensuring efficient model parallelism and data parallelism techniques across H100/A100 clusters.
- Networking & Hardware Tuning: Optimize low-level communication (e.g., NCCL tuning, InfiniBand, or RoCE v2) to minimize latency for 3D Gaussian Splatting (3DGS) and large-scale training.
- Intelligent Resource Scheduling: Optimize hardware utilization and cost-efficiency through Kubernetes-native GPU scheduling (NVIDIA GPU Operator, KubeFlow).
- Inference Performance Engineering: Deploy and scale optimized model artifacts using TensorRT, ONNX Runtime, and Triton Inference Server, fine-tuning pipelines for both real-time and batch processing
- Agentic Infrastructure & Automation
- Self-Healing AI Infrastructure: Architect and deploy Autonomous AI Agents (LangGraph, CrewAI, or AutoGen) to monitor GPU cluster health, enabling automated real-time triage of hardware failures and NCCL timeouts.
- Agentic DevOps & CI/CD: Develop agent-driven automation, such as Agentic PR Reviewers for infrastructure code and AI agents that proactively suggest model-specific Kubernetes resource optimizations.

- System Metrics: Define and track key ML system metrics, including training convergence, latency, throughput, and drift detection.
- Infrastructure Health: Maintain deep visibility into platform health using Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, and ELK Stack.
- Deep Stack Observability: Develop comprehensive monitoring using Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry to track low-level infrastructure health alongside high-level ML metrics like training convergence and throughput.
- AI-Specific Metrics & Drift: Define and monitor critical ML system KPIs, including model latency, inference throughput, and feature drift detection
What we're looking for
- Experience: 5+ years in ML infrastructure, MLOps, or DevOps supporting high-scale compute environments.
- ML Expertise: Deep understanding of multi-GPU training strategies (FSDP, DeepSpeed, Ray Train) and high-performance networking (NCCL, InfiniBand).
- Infrastructure Automation: Mastery of Kubernetes, Terraform, and Helm, with a focus on GPU-native orchestration.

What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in testing, validation, and integration of autonomous or robotic systems, preferably in an autonomous vehicle or transportation environment.
- Strong proficiency in ROS/ROS2, C++, and Python, with solid understanding of robotic perception, sensor fusion, and navigation systems.

What you'll do
- Mapping Pipeline Development: Contribute to the design, development, and expansion of the HD Mapping production pipeline.
- Data Processing and Validation:
○ Process, clean, and validate large-scale LiDAR point cloud datasets.
○ Extract and refine road-based linear and polygonal features.
○ Annotate and validate 3D objects and roadway furniture.

About the role
We are seeking senior or staff software engineers to join our planning team to build motion planning and decision-making systems and help mature new products all the way through to production. Our planning team calculates safe paths for the autonomous vehicle to follow using mapping data, localization data, waypoints, and predicted actors around the vehicle. Your contribution will improve planning for emergency situations and planning for complicated maneuvers such as loading dock access and variable lane changes.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and optimize the motion planning stack for autonomous vehicles, enabling safe, comfortable, and efficient driving in diverse real-world environments.
- Develop lattice-based planners, sampling-based planners, and optimization-based methods for generating dynamically feasible, collision-free trajectories.
- Integrate constraints from perception, prediction, and control to generate context-aware motion plans under uncertainty.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with behavior planning, control, and mapping teams to ensure robust and consistent planning behavior.
- Optimize and maintain C++-based infrastructure for trajectory generation, evaluation, and deployment in real-time onboard systems.
- Analyze closed-loop simulation and on-road performance; identify and resolve failure cases involving traffic interactions, occlusions, or dynamic obstacles.
What we're looking for
- Ph.D. with 3+ years or Master’s with 5+ years of experience in robotics, motion planning, or autonomous systems.
- Deep expertise in at least two of the following: lattice-based planning, trajectory optimization, model predictive control, or search-based planning.
- Strong proficiency in C++, with experience in production-quality code for real-time or safety-critical systems.
- Solid understanding of vehicle dynamics, control interfaces, and motion feasibility constraints.
- Experience with simulation tools and debugging motion planner behavior in realistic driving environments.
- Knowledge of diffusion models and/or Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models is a strong plus.

About the role
We are looking for a Senior or Staff Software Engineer with a strong background in Visual Odometry (VO) and Localization to join our autonomy team. This role is critical to building precise, real-time vehicle localization systems using camera-based perception for autonomous driving applications. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience deploying VO systems in real-world environments, particularly in the autonomous vehicle (AV) domain, and brings solid C++ engineering skills to architect robust, high-performance software solutions.
What you'll do
- Design and develop real-time Visual Odometry pipelines using monocular, stereo, or RGB-D camera inputs.
- Implement robust camera-based localization algorithms, including visual-inertial odometry (VIO), feature tracking, motion estimation, and scale recovery.
- Integrate VO systems with IMU, GPS, and other sensor data to enhance pose estimation accuracy and stability.
- Collaborate with the mapping, perception, and control teams to integrate localization with the AV software stack.
- Develop and optimize production-quality code in modern C++ for real-time performance on embedded compute platforms.
- Analyze system performance in diverse environmental conditions and drive improvements for reliability, accuracy, and robustness.
- Participate in code reviews, mentor team members, and contribute to architectural decisions.
- Stay up to date with the latest research in SLAM, VIO, and VO, and help transition promising techniques into production
What we're looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in robotics, computer vision, or autonomy; 3+ years specifically in Visual Odometry or VIO.
- Experience working on Autonomous Vehicle platforms (e.g., development, testing, or deployment of AV systems).
- Expert proficiency in C++ (C++14/17/20) and modern software engineering best practices.
- Solid understanding of epipolar geometry, camera calibration, bundle adjustment, and optimization techniques.

We are seeking a Senior/Staff Software Engineer to join our Localization team to build state-of-the-art sensor fusion solutions that combine data from a wide variety of sensors, as well as localization algorithms that integrate with maps in real time. What we're looking for
- M.S. or Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- 6+ years industry experience writing C++ software in a production environment - architecture design, unit testing, code review, algorithm performance trade-offs, etc.
- 2+ years of experience in the AV/ADAS industries.
- Experience in developing localization algorithms for autonomous vehicles or robotic systems, with a strong focus on GPS-IMU sensor fusion and SLAM.
- Proficiency in C++ and Python, with hands-on experience in ROS/ROS2.
- Experience with pose estimation, SLAM, probabilistic filtering, Kalman filtering, and non-linear optimization.

About the role
We are seeking passionate Senior/Staff Software Engineers, who have strong fundamentals in software development practices and are experts in C++ language in production-oriented environment. The ideal candidate is a highly experienced C++ developer with a passion for enabling the world's first safe, reliable & efficient network of autonomous vehicles. You will partner with the research and software engineers to design, develop, test and validate AV features for our autonomous fleet.

What you'll do
- Design, implement, integrate, and support real-time mission-critical software for the Gatik’s autonomy stack
- Work with the research engineers to develop maintainable, testable and robust software designs
- Architect and implement solutions to complex issues between components partitioned across the large software stack
- Be at the forefront of guiding & ensuring best SDLC practices while contributing to improving the safety in the core autonomy stack
- Collaborate with the Infrastructure and DevOps teams for efficient, secure and scalable software delivery to a network of Gatik’s autonomous fleet
- Guide and mentor autonomy researchers and algorithm developers to make sure their components are running efficiently and with optimal compute and memory usage
- Review and refine technical requirements and translate them into high-level design & plans to support the development of safe AV technology

What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Robotics or in a related degree

- 7+ years relevant industry work experience in a production environment

We are building a high-scale, web-based simulation platform designed to validate autonomous systems. We have an R&D team producing AI/ML models and a Senior Full-Stack Engineer building the platform interface. What we're looking for
- Ph.D. with 3+ years of industry experience or Master’s degree with 5+ years of relevant industry experience
- Strong experience with machine learning, particularly in the context of behavior prediction for autonomous driving.
- Familiarity with machine learning models such as LSTM, Transformer, and other relevant architectures.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python and C++.

About the role
We’re seeking Senior or Staff Engineers to help build the core behavior planning system for autonomous vehicles, enabling safe and intelligent decision-making. The role involves designing behavior tree architectures, developing robust C++ infrastructure, collaborating across autonomy teams, evaluating planner performance, and providing technical leadership within the team.
What you'll do
- Design, implement, and maintain the core behavior planning system for autonomous vehicles, enabling intelligent, interpretable, and safe decision-making in complex real-world scenarios.
- Develop and extend behavior tree architectures for hierarchical decision logic, including support for mission planning, tactical maneuvers, and contingency handling.
- Collaborate closely with the motion planning, prediction, and control teams to ensure seamless transitions from high-level decisions to executable trajectories.
- Build and optimize C++-based software infrastructure for behavior planning, including tools for simulation, debugging, visualization, and closed-loop testing.
- Evaluate planner performance in diverse real-world and simulated environments; identify failure modes and develop strategies to improve robustness and generalization.
- Participate in design reviews and system integration across the full autonomy stack.
- Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and architectural guidance for junior team members.
What we're looking for

- Proven experience in behavior planning, including use of behavior trees, finite state machines, or rule-based planners in autonomous driving or robotics applications.
- Strong proficiency in C++ with a deep understanding of performance, memory management, and software architecture in production systems.
- Solid understanding of motion planning and prediction interfaces, with experience building real-time, safety-critical systems.
- Knowledge of diffusion models and/or Vision-Language-Action (VLA) models is a strong plus.
- Strong debugging, system thinking, and collaborative communication skills.
