About the role
Gatik is hiring a Senior/Staff Vehicle Harness Engineer who will be responsible for power and signal distribution on Gatik’s vehicles from concept to production. This individual will be tasked with creating engineering requirements and specifications for the harnesses as well as collaborating with suppliers and peers to deliver a functioning subsystem.Your area of expertise is the mechanical integration, fabrication and assembly of harness systems. You are excited being hands-on to apply your engineering knowledge and you are extremely comfortable with hand-tools and rapid prototyping fabrication. Independence, good communication and documentation skills are key to succeed in this role.
This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office.
What you'll do
- Responsible for vehicle power and signal distribution on the vehicle.
- Create engineering specifications for example requirements, schematics, CAD models, drawings for the vehicle harnesses
- Take ownership of the Device transmittal (DT) process
- Provide technical expertise on power, signal and data bus distribution as well as ground specification needed in autonomous vehicles; for example on GMSL,Automotive Ethernet, CAN, CAN-FD, low voltage high power applications
- Collaborate with cross functional team members to complete the system specification and fill gaps were needed
- Collaborate with suppliers/vendors as needed to build prototype and production vehicles
- Develop and refine tools and methods currently leveraged by the team
- Mentor junior engineers on the team in the principles of power and signal distribution and best practices
What we’re looking for
- BS/MS in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline (MS preferred)
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with vehicle harnesses
- Delivered a system to production (preferred - from inception to production)
- Experience in the Automotive, Truck/Transportation and AV industry
- Experience with Zuken.E3 required
- Experience with advanced vehicle communication standards and requirements for example GMSL, Automotive Ethernet
- Ability to size and select the appropriate cables, connectors and fuses
- Ability to design mechanical components supporting the completion of the deliverable e.g. brackets, housings or pass-throughs
- Experience with CAD and/or drawing software (NX preferred)
- Strong troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Strong computer skills with programming and scripting experience, preferred
Salary Range- $180,000- $250,000

About the role
As a Senior or Staff Mechanical Engineer in our Hardware Integration team you will be responsible for engineering support structures for the sensor stack, aesthetic covers, and establishing the processes needed to do this at a low & medium volume production scale today and prepare for high volume production in the future. You will work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality vehicle builds following best engineering practices & standards. Your area of expertise is design of mechanical structural assemblies & integration of electronic components, preferably in the automotive industry. You are excited about generating new design ideas in CAD and are comfortable with hand-tools and rapid prototyping fabrication to test out your design.
This role requires working onsite 5 days a week from our Mountain View headquarters.
What you'll do
- Lead the engineering efforts for the mechanical design & analysis from ideation to drawing release
- Take ownership of subsystems or complex component assemblies on and off the vehicles
- Perform FE analyses on your design to validate it against the use case (static, natural frequency,etc).
- Champion the DFM, DFA & DFS efforts during the design cycle.
- Closely collaborate with validation team in creation & execution of the test plan
- Perform detailed calculations of selected components eg. bolted/ welded/ bonded joints, seals, etc.
- Perform tolerance stack-up analysis for your design and use appropriate GD&T strategy.
- Work on cooling solutions for sensors & other electronic components.
- Own the BOM for your design & work cross functionally with procurement & manufacturing for downstream processes.
- Build and bring-up prototype vehicles following best engineering practices & standards.
- Lead, mentor and grow the mechanical engineering discipline by creating standards & processes.
What we’re looking for
- 5+ years of experience designing & analyzing complex mechanical structures and integration of hardware.
- An engineering degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics or an equivalent field.
- Delivered multiple parts, subsystem(s) or system(s) to production successfully
- Experience in automotive or transportation sector, dealing with larger assemblies and parts
- Excellent skills for 3D CAD design & 2D drafting per ASME Y14.5 (NX preferred)
- Experience in FE analysis (vibration experience bonus)
- Experience working in an engineering process environment eg. using PDM & PLM, creating ECOs, generating BOMs, CM etc.
- Expertise in creating Aluminum & steel designs, with a focus on sheet metal fabrication, welded design, extrusions & machined design.
- Expertise in tolerance stacking, especially linear & simple 2D stacks.
- Working knowledge of ISO 26262 & its relevance to integration of E&E components.
- Expertise in component selection and specification (seals, fasteners, materials, coatings etc.)
- Hands-on Engineer that is able and willing to use hand tools including drills, brake presses, oscillating saws, grinders, rotary tools etc. if required

- Experience in design of heat sinks, heat exchangers, thermal design & CFD
- Experience working with sensors like Lidars, Radars, Camera, GNSS etc
- Experience working with sensor cleaning & sensor protection solutions

About the role
In this role, you’ll work closely with our engineering team to bring cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems to life through rapid prototyping, integration, testing, and iterative design. The right candidate has leveraged their creativity to develop custom assemblies or functional systems, either in a personal setting or professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment.
What you'll do
- Build, modify, and maintain prototype autonomous vehicles, test platforms or benches.
- Integrate mechanical and electrical components such as sensors, actuators, compute units, and power systems.
- Fabricate brackets, mounts, and custom parts using rapid prototyping tools (3D printers, laser cutters, welders, etc.).
- Build and route wire harnesses, perform soldering/crimping, and troubleshoot electrical connections.
- Execute test plans and collect system performance data during in-lab and on-road testing.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to iterate on hardware and integration approaches.
- Maintain the prototyping garage/shop, ensuring tools, materials, and components are organized and safe to use
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, or system integration issues
What we're looking for
- Proven hands-on experience building or customizing vehicles, motorcycles, robotic systems, drones, or RC vehicles
- Demonstrated ability to create custom mechanical or electrical assemblies from scratch or adapt existing systems creatively
- Comfort working with mechanical tools, electrical prototyping equipment, and basic fabrication tools.
- Understanding of vehicle systems (chassis, suspension, drivetrain) and/or embedded electronics (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensor integration)
- Ability to work from engineering drawings, rough sketches, or verbal guidance to produce working assemblies
- Ability to create parts in CAD (SolidWorks or NX preferred)

About the role
Gatik is hiring a Senior/Staff Vehicle Reliability Engineer. In this role you will develop vehicle and hardware tests and validation plans focusing on reliability and durability based upon the requirements provided. Additionally you will develop test profiles, run and manage these tests, collect and interpret the data and submit test reports summarizing the results. You will work closely with other internal and external teams to ensure that your test-plans and tests meet the needs of the project goals and provide valuable feedback to the development process. You will run tests internally as well as working with external vendors for the testing and validation of our cutting edge autonomy components and systems.
This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office.
What you'll do
- Create reliability test and validation plans for AV hardware components and subsystem
- Lead and organize DFMEA efforts within the Hardware and Vehicle groups
- Instrument & Collect data to support component testing and validation plan creation
- Design custom test profiles as needed utilizing field measurements and requirements
- Perform tests internally and manage outsourced testing activities as needed
- Interpret test data and generate reports to provide feedback to the cross-functional teams
- Design, assemble, operate and maintain test equipment and infrastructure
- Lead test campaigns for the components or subsystems
- Support the creation of reliability and performance benchmarks for custom components
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support testable requirement creation
What we’re looking for
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 5+ years of engineering testing & validation experience in the hardware space with a strong focus on designing & managing validation plans
- Several years of hands-on experience in the automotive, trucking, aerospace, robotics, or automation industry
- Experience defining and managing mechanical and environmental tests for components that are integrated into vehicles or robots
- Experience with vehicle communication protocols (CAN/LIN/Automotive ethernet)

About the role
Gatik is hiring a Senior Audio Systems Engineer to lead the design, development, and optimization of our vehicle audio architecture. As Gatik scales its driverless operations, sound continues to be a critical interface for safety, diagnostics, and external communication. In this role, you will be responsible for the entire audio lifecycle—from acoustic modeling and audio stack definition to noise, vibration, and harshness (NVH) mitigation. You will work cross-functionally with hardware, software, and systems safety teams to ensure our autonomous fleet delivers superior sound quality and data while meeting rigorous automotive requirements and safety standards. Independence, strong technical intuition, and excellent documentation skills are key to succeeding in this role.
This role is onsite 5 days a week at our Mountain View, CA office.
What you'll do
- Audio System Design & Integration: Design and integrate end-to-end audio systems, including transducers, digital signal processing (DSP) and connectivity solutions.
- Acoustic Engineering & NVH: Develop and implement strategies for optimizing vehicle acoustics; conduct NVH analysis to identify and mitigate unwanted noise sources (wind, road/tires, and powertrain noise).
- Validation & Testing: Develop and execute comprehensive audio and acoustic validation plans, including laboratory measurement and real-world road testing.
- System Optimization: Analyze and validate audio systems to achieve high-performance benchmarks for interior diagnostics and exterior safety alerts (AVAS).
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with software, industrial design, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams on subsystem integration and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing.
- Supplier Management: Manage technical relationships and specifications with Tier 1 suppliers for audio and acoustic hardware.
- Technical Documentation: Create and maintain engineering specifications, schematics, and test reports to ensure system explainability and safety compliance.
What we’re looking for
- BS/MS in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Acoustics, or a similar engineering discipline.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in vehicle audio system design, automotive NVH, or acoustic sensor integration.
- Deep technical expertise in digital signal processing (DSP) for audio applications and acoustic measurement equipment (e.g., microphones, sound level meters, DAQ systems).
- Knowledge of automotive networking and interface protocols such as A2B, CAN, CAN-FD, and Automotive Ethernet.
- Proven troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze test data, identify root causes, and propose corrective hardware or software actions.
- Excellent communication skills with experience documenting design specifications and validation results for cross-functional stakeholders.

About the role
In this role, you’ll work closely with our engineering team to bring cutting-edge autonomous vehicle systems to life through rapid prototyping, integration, testing, and iterative design. The right candidate has leveraged their creativity to develop custom assemblies or functional systems, either in a personal setting or professionally, and thrives in a fast-paced R&D environment.
This is a full-time, onsite role based in Mountain View, CA, requiring five days per week in the office
What you'll do
- Build, modify, and maintain prototype autonomous vehicles, test platforms or benches.
- Integrate mechanical and electrical components such as sensors, actuators, compute units, and power systems.
- Fabricate brackets, mounts, and custom parts using rapid prototyping tools (3D printers, laser cutters, welders, etc.).
- Build and route wire harnesses, perform soldering/crimping, and troubleshoot electrical connections.
- Execute test plans and collect system performance data during in-lab and on-road testing.
- Collaborate closely with engineers to iterate on hardware and integration approaches.
- Maintain the prototyping garage/shop, ensuring tools, materials, and components are organized and safe to use
- Diagnosing and resolving mechanical, electrical, or system integration issues
What we're looking for
- Proven hands-on experience building or customizing vehicles, motorcycles, robotic systems, drones, or RC vehicles
- Demonstrated ability to create custom mechanical or electrical assemblies from scratch or adapt existing systems creatively
- Comfort working with mechanical tools, electrical prototyping equipment, and basic fabrication tools.
- Understanding of vehicle systems (chassis, suspension, drivetrain) and/or embedded electronics (Arduino, Raspberry Pi, sensor integration)

As an Electrical Engineering Tech Lead in our Hardware Engineering team you will be responsible for all electronic components on and off the vehicle along with establishing
processes needed to bring-up and to calibrate the stack. This means you are closely working with the Systems Engineering team to establish architectures meeting our requirements as well as bringing the system to production, while collaborating with a diverse and multidisciplinary team delivering high quality vehicles. - Lead the definition and development of electrical and electronic components and system architecture for an autonomous vehicle platform
- Collaborate across hardware, software, and systems teams to drive integration of sensors, compute, and power systems from concept through deployment
- Serve as the technical point of contact for key component and sensor suppliers, guiding selection, validation, and integration decisions
- Oversee vehicle- and system-level bring-up, ensuring readiness for calibration, testing, and manufacturing in close partnership with software and validation teams

- Ability to evaluate sensor trade-offs and calibration strategies in the context of autonomous system design
- Experience with vehicle-level electrical integration, system reliability, and design for manufacturability
- Proven track record collaborating across hardware, software, and systems teams during bring-up and integration phases
