Position Summary

SCS Financial is seeking a seasoned Head of Trading to lead and elevate our trading function at an exciting moment of firm-wide growth and investment. The ideal candidate will bring both the technical depth of a skilled trading operator and the strategic vision to build a best-in-class trading infrastructure that scales with the firm's continued expansion.

Reporting to the Managing Director of Operations, this leader will own the full trade lifecycle across a sophisticated, multi-team RIA environment — from execution and allocation through reconciliation and risk oversight — while developing a talented team and driving the process and technology enhancements that will define SCS's trading capabilities for years to come.

This role is located in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Primary Responsibilities 

Lead the Trading Function

• Establish clear role ownership, accountability structures, and roadmap for trading capacity, technology, and process maturity
• Build and maintain a high-performance team culture rooted in precision, cross-training, collaboration, and shared ownership
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four trading professionals
• Define KPI’s, use data to improve execution and strategy
• Represent the Trading team in cross-functional leadership engagements, present initiatives at department or firm-wide meetings, and drive change management
• Manage relationships with Brokers, Liquidity Providers, Exchanges/venues. Evaluate execution quality and negotiate terms

Drive Execution Excellence 

• Oversee all daily trade execution across mutual funds, ETFs, individual equities, and SMAs through the RedBlack order management platform
• Manage aggregated trading demand, order sets, allocation workflows, and daily reconciliation across numerous custodians
• Lead firmwide model implementation and rebalancing, translating investment model changes into scalable, tax-aware execution across all client portfolios
• Enforce trade submission deadlines, best-execution standards, and error prevention controls across all asset classes

Modernize and Scale the Operating Model

• Identify and resolve inefficient manual workflows, particularly across multi-platform coordination (RedBlack, Addepar, custodian systems)
• Drive the strategic vision for the Trading function, including automation and AI opportunities, system enhancements, and integration opportunities
• Establish standardized intake-and-execution processes, repeatable SOPs, and certification frameworks for the trading team

Risk Management & Compliance

• Develop and enforce trading risk policies including drift tolerances, position limits, and IPS compliance monitoring
• Conduct regular advisor drift reviews and serve as the escalation point for complex trading situations (concentrated stock, derivatives, tax-sensitive transitions)
• Maintain compliance with SEC best-execution requirements and all applicable RIA regulatory standards

Qualifications

• 10+ years of trading operations experience within an RIA, multi-family office, wealth management firm, or broker-dealer
• Demonstrated leadership experience managing and developing a trading team at the VP or Director level
• Preferred CFA designation
• Deep proficiency in an order management system; RedBlack strongly preferred
• Extensive knowledge of execution strategies (FWAP, TWAP, market orders, etc.)
• Experience with Salesforce preferred
• Familiarity with portfolio accounting systems (Addepar or equivalent) and custodian platforms (Schwab, Fidelity)
• Execution experience across mutual funds, ETFs, individual equities, and SMAs
• Knowledge of SEC best-execution requirements and the RIA regulatory framework
• Track record designing and enforcing trading risk controls and IPS compliance
• Exceptional cross-functional communication and presentation skills
• Highly organized and able to manage high-volume trading demand from multiple advisor teams

This position is an exempt position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $170,000–$190,000 base salary compensation range. Actual base pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, experience, subject matter expertise, geographic location where work will be performed, and the applicant’s skill set. The base pay is just one component of the total compensation package. SCS Financial is seeking a detail-oriented and highly professional Bookkeeping Administrative Associate for the Bill Pay team to support the complex financial needs of our ultra-high-net-worth clients and their families. The ideal candidate brings a high level of discretion, integrity, and a commitment to delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, confidential environment.

This role is based in Portsmouth, NH.

Primary Responsibilities

The essential duties of the Bookkeeping Administrative Associate will include, and are not limited to:

• Receipt of client post office box mail from courier service and monitoring bookkeeping email inbox for electronic invoices and notices. Opening, sorting, scanning bills (as needed), and uploading to Hubdoc for approval to pay.  Forwarding non-bill pay related mail on to other departments (including tax, insurance and other documents).  
• Point of contact for all post office client mail related matters.
• Responsible for the overall maintenance of electronic filing of bill pay records (copying, scanning, saving and shredding paper).
• Responsible for bill pay client check deposits to various banks utilizing FedEx and Salesforce
• Assembly and processing of bookkeeping department outgoing FedEx packages to clients/vendors
• Assisting bookkeepers in obtaining all necessary approvals prior to payment.
• Assisting bookkeepers with various vendor related issues – including but not limited to changing billing addresses, setting up or updating auto-pay accounts, setting up or terminating utility accounts, and researching vendor billing issues.
• Assisting bookkeepers with bank, investment and credit card account reconciliations on a monthly basis utilizing QuickBooks.
• Assisting bookkeepers with other miscellaneous tasks and projects, as necessary.
• Facilitating and implementing technology and process improvement for all aspects of the job (including but not limited to record collection and retention, bill payment, reconciliations).
• Occasional back-up support for reception, as needed.

Qualifications

• Strong working knowledge of QuickBooks and proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with Salesforce and Hubdoc a plus
• Ability to prioritize work effectively, with a high level of accuracy and keen attention to detail.
• Strong organizational and communication skills, both oral and written.
• Candidates must display professionalism and exercise the utmost discretion.
• Ability and desire to continue to learn and develop
• Ability to spot inefficiencies (internal or external) and work with the team on process improvements
• College degree preferred with at least 2 years prior experience working with QuickBooks and providing administrative support.
• Experience working within Finance business area preferred.
• Desire to develop towards future Bookkeeper position or learning additional Bookkeeper tasks to assist the team
• Ability to push/pull/lift bulk mail (approximately ≤25 pounds).

This position is a non-exempt, overtime eligible position. The annualized base pay range for this role is expected to be between $50,000–$60,000 base salary compensation range. Position Summary

SCS Financial is looking for an Associate to join the Client Service Solutions team.  This is an excellent opportunity for candidates who would like to contribute to one of the firm’s core business management teams. The Client Service Solutions team is responsible for many of the integral operating functions that support the client service team. As a member of this group, the Associate will participate in the support of client relationships, organization and maintenance of client information, cashiering and money movements, and facilitation of various firmwide support functions. The Associate will also regularly interface with numerous teams within the firm to support client relationships. We are seeking candidates who are well organized, detail‐focused, energetic, and team‐oriented. The right candidate is a self‐starter with a strong work ethic who has excellent communication skills and the ability to think critically.

 This role can be located in Boston, MA; Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

Primary Responsibilities 

• Daily Cashiering: process and reconcile money movements on behalf of clients with strict adherence to internal policies and procedures.
• Interface directly with external custodian banks in the account opening and asset transfer process.
• Lead account opening and new client onboarding project plans, including communicating with a wide variety of stakeholders.
• Maintain existing client information; ensure all necessary data and documentation is accurately captured and preserved in the Firm’s database
• Support alternative investment processing procedures on behalf of clients.
• Work closely with other middle office teams to ensure client portfolio information is accurate and updated on a regular and timely basis.
• Assist in all ad hoc information or report requests from advisors.
• Participate in the enhancement of firmwide projects designed to improve the overall client experience, internal workflows, or data movement around the Firm.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree
• 1+ years of experience in an operations role within the financial services industry preferred. Prior experience in wealth management, RIA, or family office or comparable. Internship experience will also be considered.
