About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on Electrical Distribution Engineer to lead the design, development, and implementation of electrical distribution systems (EDS). This role combines strong electrical design fundamentals with practical, on-vehicle and prototype build experience, supporting programs from early concept through production.

You will play a key role in accelerating prototype development, improving harness quality, and reducing supplier-related delays by owning end-to-end harness design and execution.

Own harness architecture development from concept through production release
Perform electrical analysis including wire sizing, voltage drop, fuse coordination, and component selection
Develop and maintain schematics and harness designs using tools such as Zuken E3
Define harness routing, grounding strategies, and packaging within constrained environments
Build, modify, and validate prototype and test harnesses
Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical issues during vehicle bring-up, testing, and service
Conduct root cause analysis and implement design improvements to enhance reliability
Drive improvements in harness manufacturability, durability, and serviceability
Collaborate with manufacturing teams and Tier 1 suppliers on DFM, validation, and production ramp
Review and release 2D drawings and 3D routing designs

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

About the Role

In this role as a UAS Flight Test Operator I/II, you’ll be part of a hands-on field testing team supporting flight validation of new drone platforms. You’ll work closely with engineering and flight leads to execute test flights safely, efficiently, and with precision—helping shape the future of autonomous aerial systems. You will be reporting to the Flight Test Lead.

Execute structured drone test flights in both manual and autonomous modes, adjusting flight parameters in real time based on evolving test plans and feedback.
Support daily test readiness by performing pre- and post-flight checks, managing batteries, preparing equipment, and assisting with on-site logistics.
Operate in field environments with extended periods of standing, repetitive drone handling, and outdoor exposure to varying weather (heat, dust, cold, wind, etc.).
Stay flexible and responsive to shifting schedules, including early mornings, late afternoons, and variable hours based on test conditions. Open to about 20% travel.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled FPV Pilot with advanced acro mode flight experience for visual line-of-sight operations (no goggles). This role focuses on hands-on drone testing and evaluation to support the development of next-generation UAS technologies. You’ll work closely with systems and flight engineers to provide actionable flight data and feedback that drive design improvements and system reliability.

This position is fully on-site at our Bay Point, California test facility. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

You’re excited about this opportunity because you will

Operate small and mid-size multi-rotor and fixed-wing UAS platforms in acro mode within visual line of sight (VLOS) environments.
Conduct test flights, calibration routines, and performance evaluations under engineering supervision.
Collaborate closely with systems engineers to provide high-quality, data-driven feedback on flight performance, controls tuning, and system reliability.
Maintain detailed logs of flight hours, aircraft condition, and observed anomalies.
Support safety and compliance processes in accordance with FAA Part 107 and internal operating procedures.
Participate in system validation efforts involving PX4, ArduPilot, Auterion, and Herelink control systems.
Contribute to iterative design reviews, prototype evaluations, and test readiness reviews.

We’re excited about you because you have

FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate (required; will be verified).
100+ hours of logged FPV flight time.
1+ year of consistent acro mode flight experience under visual line of sight (no goggles).
Demonstrated experience with multi-rotor UAS operations (required).
Proven FPV flying background and ability to demonstrate control precision in manual (acro) mode.
Working knowledge of FAA small UAS regulations and operational best practices.
Excellent communication skills and ability to translate flight behavior into engineering insights.
Strong situational awareness and adherence to test-site safety standards.
Valid U.S. drivers license required and a successful completion of MVR required

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with fixed-wing RC aircraft operations (huge plus).
Familiarity with PX4, ArduPilot, Auterion, and Herelink.
Technical background in UAS systems, aerodynamics, or flight controls integration.
Ability to record and share video footage of recent acro line-of-sight FPV flights for evaluation.
Previous work in structured flight test environments or R&D programs.

About the Role

We’re looking for a highly capable Mechanical Engineer to own the design and integration of lighting and audio systems for our autonomous delivery robot, DOT. This role requires a balance of strong mechanical fundamentals, system-level thinking, and an eye for human-robot interaction.

You will lead the development of DOT’s interactive lighting systems—ranging from expressive “eyeballs” to headlights and taillight strategies—as well as the mechanical integration of audio hardware that enables clear, reliable two-way communication with customers and law enforcement. You’ll work both independently and with partners to bring these systems from concept through production.

What You’ll Do

Own end-to-end development of DOT’s lighting systems, including:

Interactive “eyeball” lighting elements that convey intent and state
Headlight and taillight architectures balancing safety, compliance, and brand expression
Integration of LEDs, light pipes, diffusers, and housings

Lead the mechanical design and integration of audio systems, including:

Speaker enclosures optimized for clarity and environmental durability
Microphone placement and packaging for effective two-way communication in real-world conditions

Translate product and UX requirements into robust mechanical designs that enable intuitive interaction through light and sound
Develop detailed CAD models, assemblies, and production drawings, and drive design reviews
Collaborate cross-functionally with EE, firmware, industrial design, and product teams to ensure seamless system integration
Work with external vendors and partners to co-develop components, manage design trade-offs, and ensure quality
Drive prototyping, testing, and validation, including environmental (weather, vibration, ingress) and performance testing
Make informed decisions around materials, manufacturing processes, and cost, ensuring designs are production-ready
Contribute to system architecture and help define best practices for interactive hardware systems

What We’re Looking For

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
5–8 years of experience in mechanical design, ideally in robotics, automotive, or consumer hardware
Strong proficiency in CAD (SolidWorks, Creo, NX, or similar) with experience delivering production-ready designs
Demonstrated experience designing and integrating lighting systems or optical/mechatronic components
Experience packaging and integrating audio components (speakers, microphones) into complex systems
Solid understanding of DFM/DFA, tolerance stack-ups, and manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sealing, adhesives)
Experience working directly with suppliers and external partners through development and production
Ability to operate with high ownership and autonomy, while collaborating effectively across disciplines

Nice to Have

Experience with automotive or robotic lighting systems
Familiarity with IP-rated designs and environmental sealing strategies
Basic understanding of acoustics and optical performance
Experience designing interactive or expressive hardware systems
Comfort working in fast-paced, iterative development environments

Compensation

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed below and is determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Base salary is localized according to an employee’s work location. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future.

The national base pay range for this position within the United States, including Illinois and Colorado.
