About the Role

In this role, you’ll work within a 5-15k sq ft distribution center, will assist in leading the local warehouse operating team, and in some locations, includes preparing food in a light-prep kitchen, and help the Site Manager ensure we maintain high quality for our customers.

You may also lead some process improvement projects.

Quality metrics such as order accuracy and fulfillment speed will be key measurements of success for your team. We're looking for someone to help scale DoorDash's next billion dollar business, DashMart, by growing our in-house food program, DashMart Kitchens. The DashMart Kitchens team is focused on building a new type of restaurant platform within DashMart, offering a broad selection of prepared foods and well-known restaurant staples to our customers' doorsteps.

About the Role

As the Kitchen Manager for DashMart Kitchens (DMK), you’ll lead the daily operations of a DoorDash-owned kitchen located within a DashMart fulfillment center. You’ll oversee a team of operations associates and shift leads to ensure every meal is prepared safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

You’ll combine hands-on culinary leadership with operational excellence — managing staffing, scheduling, and kitchen performance while ensuring food safety, order accuracy, and team success. You’ll work closely with your Site Manager to lead multiple food concepts, improve processes, and create a great place to work. In addition to leading the kitchen, you'll be cross trained into DashMart operations and expected to work on both sides of the business. This role requires strict adherence to food safety, inventory controls, and safety protocols due to routine access to food, supplies, equipment, and operational systems.

You will refine processes, and partner with your Site Manager and cross-functional teams to execute new initiatives and continuously improve how the kitchen operates.

You will coach your team to maintain recipe accuracy, food safety, and storefront availability, knowing that consistency is key in a multi-concept kitchen. About Part-Time Variable Schedule Roles at DashMart

As a Variable Schedule Operations Associate, instead of a fixed weekly schedule, you largely pick up open shifts through our scheduling app. Shifts may open ahead of time or pop up at the last minute based on business needs. Schedules with available openings are posted weekly, and additional shifts may appear through shift swaps or peaks in demand. 

You will be expected to work at least one shift every four weeks for a minimum of four hours each shift. Variable Schedule Operations Associates will be scheduled for one shift a month to help meet this requirement. This will also be a key time to review any relevant changes in processes and company-provided tooling, and stay connected with the Site Leadership Team, including your supervisor. 

Reliability and communication are key — when you pick up a shift, we count on you to show up on time and complete each shift, while meeting performance expectations.

You’ll start with DashMart onboarding and initial training (one shift) and complete one 4-hour on-the-job training shift (must be completed within 14 days) to set you up for success, then you can begin choosing shifts based on business needs and your schedule.

About the Role

• Picking and Packing orders. Pick orders that come through the app, pack the order and hand it off to Dashers.
• Inventory and Spoilage Management. Stock receivables and manage inventory, including shelf life.
• Warehouse Organization. Clean and organize the warehouse.
• Delight Customers. Ensuring substitutions are approved by the customer.

About the Role

DashMart is looking for a motivated and experienced individual that excels in fast-paced, physical environments and is excited to roll up their sleeves and actively engage in day-to-day operations.  In this role, you will work within a local fulfillment center supporting Site Management running great shifts, and delegating tasks. As a Shift Lead, you will have shift responsibility for fulfilling orders in a warehouse environment and maintaining inventory, and in some locations, this involves preparing food in a light-prep kitchen.
