Your Team:
The DevOps team is responsible for supporting, improving and automating CI/CD pipelines, maintaining and evolving the company’s infrastructure, and ensuring smooth deployment and operation of applications in Kubernetes. The team focuses on cloud operations, system reliability, configuration management, centralized logging, and monitoring to ensure stable and scalable environments.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Support the design and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for cloud-based applications
- Assist in infrastructure provisioning and automation using Infrastructure as Code tools
- Deploy and operate services in Kubernetes environments, ensuring stability and scalability
- Work with cloud platforms (primarily GCP) for day-to-day operations and maintenance
- Support configuration management for OS and applications to ensure consistency across environments
- Contribute to centralized logging and monitoring systems for better observability
- Participate in incident response and on-call rotation when needed
- Collaborate closely with senior engineers and development teams to improve system reliability
Employees may be required to participate in an on-call rotation, ensuring availability outside regular working hours to respond to urgent issues as needed as per the On call policy.
Who You Are:
- 3+ years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or Infrastructure/Operations roles
- Solid understanding of Docker and Kubernetes
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Git and Jenkins
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform / Ansible is a plus)
- Basic experience with cloud platforms (preferably Google Cloud)
- Good understanding of Linux/Unix systems and networking fundamentals
- Scripting skills in Bash and/or Python
- Familiar with monitoring/logging tools (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, ELK – nice to have)
- Understanding of basic Change/Release management processes
- Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn
- Team player with proactive attitude and good communication skills

About the Role
We're hiring a Team Lead for one of the most consequential engineering teams at Delasport - the team that owns KYC, AML, anti-fraud, and regulatory compliance across the platform.
These aren't peripheral services. They're what makes it legally possible for our operators to take a bet in every market we're licensed in. Every player who signs up, every withdrawal, every suspicious pattern, every regulator report - it flows through systems your team owns. When a new jurisdiction comes online, your team is on the critical path.

This role is based in Sofia, Bulgaria and we welcome candidates who are open to relocating (relocation support provided).
What Your Team Owns
You'll lead a team of 5 full-stack developers and 2 QAs responsible for:
- KYC - identity verification pipelines, document checks, and third-party provider integrations
- AML - transaction monitoring, sanctions and PEP screening, suspicious-activity detection
- Anti-Fraud - behavioural analysis and fraud-pattern detection across player activity
- Regulatory Compliance - jurisdiction-specific rules, reporting obligations, and operator configurations
The footprint is a mix of synchronous APIs, scheduled jobs, and real-time stream consumers processing events off Kafka and RabbitMQ.
What You'll Actually Work On
- Shaping the future stack. Today the team works across PHP/Laravel, Python, and TypeScript/Vue. All new services will be written in Node.js, and you'll be a key voice in shaping how that evolution unfolds - patterns, shared libraries, deployment standards.
- Driving technical excellence. Setting and raising the bar on performance, reliability, and operational maturity across the team's services.
- Real ownership of production. The team owns its services end to end - design, build, ship, observe, fix. You set the standard for how that ownership is exercised.
- Growing the team. Seniors ready to push toward staff-level work; mids ready to grow into seniors. Your impact on them will be one of the most rewarding parts of this role.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the team. Set technical direction, code-quality bar, and architectural standards. Run code reviews that teach. Develop the engineers under you.
- Stay hands-on. This is not a pure people-management role. You'll write code, design systems, and pair on hard problems.
- Architect for the real world. Design services that handle real-time event streams reliably, fail safely under regulatory scrutiny, and integrate cleanly with the third-party providers we depend on.
- Drive the technical roadmap. Make and defend the calls on what to refactor, what to rewrite, and where to invest the team's time.
- Partner across the org. Work closely with Product, DevOps, Data, and the Compliance/Legal side of the business - the last of which is unusual for an engineering role and one of the more interesting parts of the job.

Who You Are
- Experience: 7+ years building backend systems in PHP, including 2+ years leading a team or operating as a senior technical lead.
- Core technical strength:
- Strong PHP and OOP fundamentals - design patterns, clean architecture, testability.
- Production experience with Laravel (or strong Symfony experience and the willingness to ramp on Laravel).
- Comfortable working with event-driven systems - Kafka, RabbitMQ, or equivalent. You've built and operated consumers, not just published a message once.
- Solid grasp of relational databases (MySQL/PostgreSQL) - schema design, query performance, the things that bite at scale.
- Working experience with NoSQL (MongoDB, Redis, Elasticsearch, or similar) - knowing when to reach for it and when not to.
- Comfortable with Docker, containerised deployments, and at least one cloud (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
- Architecture sense: You can reason about scalability, fault tolerance, and failure modes - and explain trade-offs to people who don't share your background.
- Leadership: You lead by setting direction and raising the bar of those around you, not by managing tickets. Strong written and spoken English.
- Mindset: Pragmatic, bias toward shipping, comfortable with ambiguity, genuinely interested in the business problem and not just the technical one.
Nice to Have
- Experience in iGaming, fintech, or any regulated domain (banking, payments, healthcare).
- Hands-on experience with KYC/AML/fraud-prevention systems or vendor integrations.
- Working knowledge of Python and/or Node.js.
- Exposure to TypeScript/Vue or another modern frontend stack.

What You’ll Do:
- Technical Quality Ownership - Set and enforce technical standards for code quality, testing practices, deployment procedures, and observability across all teams. Ensure deliverables consistently meet company and industry standards.
- Security & Compliance - Champion security best practices in application design and delivery. Drive secure coding standards, dependency management, and vulnerability remediation across the development lifecycle.
- Technology Decisions - Drive and consult on technology choices in collaboration with the Architect and engineering teams. Evaluate new tools, frameworks, and patterns with a clear focus on efficiency, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
- Architecture & Design Guidance - Review and guide system designs, API contracts, data models, and integration patterns. Ensure business requirements are implemented following sound architectural principles and established standards.
- Hands-On Engineering - Stay deeply hands-on with production code. Lead by example in modern Java (21/25), Spring Boot 3/4, PHP, Laravel, NodeJS, Kafka Streams, and cloud-native microservices. Conduct in-depth code reviews and contribute to critical path development.
- Observability & Operational Excellence - Define and drive observability standards (metrics, logging, tracing, alerting) to ensure production systems are transparent, diagnosable, and reliable.
- Technology Adoption - Drive the adoption of new technologies and practices across teams. Build proof-of-concepts, define migration paths, and ensure smooth rollouts with minimal disruption.
- Cross-Team Collaboration - Act as the technical mediator between Java teams, Team Leads, the Architect, and business stakeholders. Translate business requirements into sound technical guidance and ensure alignment across all parties.
- Knowledge Sharing - Foster a culture of technical excellence through design reviews, tech talks, documentation, and hands-on mentoring of senior engineers.

Who You Are:
Experience: 7+ years of hands-on backend development with strong expertise, including 2+ years in a technical leadership capacity (Tech Lead, Principal Engineer, or equivalent).
Technical Expertise:
- Deep knowledge of Java (21+), PHP or NodeJS concurrency, JVM internals, and performance characteristics
- Strong experience with building production-grade microservices
- Strong expertise with Kafka and Kafka Streams — event-driven architectures, stream processing, schema evolution, and exactly-once semantics
- Solid understanding of REST API design principles and synchronous integration patterns
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, GitOps (ArgoCD, Kustomize), and container orchestration
- Experience defining and implementing observability strategies (metrics, distributed tracing, structured logging, alerting)
- Strong understanding of application security practices, secure coding, and dependency management
- Solid database knowledge: relational and document databases, data modeling, and performance tuning
Soft Skills: Excellent communicator who can translate between technical and business language. Comfortable presenting ideas, challenging decisions constructively, and building consensus across teams.
Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively with Architects, Team Leads, Product, and DevOps in a cross-functional environment.

- 4+ years of professional Front-End Development experience
- 3+ years working with React, Vue, or Angular
- Strong knowledge of JavaScript, HTML, and SCSS
- Solid understanding of core coding principles and architectural best practices
- A habit of writing clean, well-structured, maintainable code
- Experience with unit testing is a strong plus

Your Role:
We are looking for a Senior Front-End Architect to define front-end technical strategy and architecture at scale. This role requires ownership of microfrontend platforms, UI standards, and long-term front-end evolution across multiple teams and products.
How You’ll Make an Impact:
- Own and evolve front-end architecture strategy across the organization
- Design and govern microfrontend architectures and integration patterns
- Define standards for performance, accessibility, and UX consistency
- Architect scalable design systems and shared component libraries
- Drive adoption of modern front-end technologies and best practices
- Act as technical authority for front-end architecture decisions
- Mentor Senior Front-End Engineers and Tech Leads
- Collaborate with backend, platform, and product leadership
Who You Are:
Must-Have:
- 8-10+ years of front-end engineering experience with architecture ownership
- Deep expertise in Vue.js/ React/ Angular, JavaScript, and TypeScript
- Proven experience with microfrontend platforms
- Strong understanding of browser internals and performance
- Experience leading cross-team initiatives
- Excellent stakeholder communication skills
- Strong knowledge of secure front-end architectures, JWT, SSO, and stateless design
Preferred:
- Experience defining enterprise UI platforms or design systems
- Familiarity with Module Federation, Single-SPA, or Web Components
- Experience with SSR/SSG frameworks
- Exposure to front-end observability and analytics
