We’re looking for a Senior Technical Writer who thrives in complex domains and enjoys turning technical detail into clear, accurate, user-focused documentation.

What You’ll Do: 

• Work independently with minimal direction, demonstrating ownership of documentation projects and the ability to drive results without close supervision. 

• Create, organize, and maintain user-facing and internal documentation including user guides, release notes, process documents, and additional documentation as needed. 

• Collaborate with product managers, engineers, QA, and other stakeholders to gather technical information and validate accuracy. 

• Work in a cloud-based Component Content Management System (CCMS) to ensure content reuse, consistency, collaboration, and scalability. 

• Advocate for users by crafting content that is clear, useable, and aligned with product workflows. 

• Build strong working relationships across teams (product, support, and engineering) and contribute to a positive, service-focused documentation culture. 

• Leverage AI tools to accelerate delivery; for example, transforming recorded demos and transcripts into draft documentation for rapid editing and refinement. 

• Use AI-powered editing and analysis tools to improve documentation accuracy, consistency, and overall quality. 

• Apply AI-based analytics and reporting to gain visibility into the questions users are asking and the issues they’re trying to solve, helping the team identify content gaps and opportunities for improvement. 

• Improve content, processes, and standards based on feedback, analytics, and your own observations. 

 Qualifications: 

• 5 to 7+ years of technical writing experience documenting enterprise-level software applications. 

• Proven ability to manage your own projects and deadlines with minimal oversight. 

• Experience using topic-based CCMS authoring tools (e.g., ClickHelp, MadCap Flare, etc.). 

• Strong collaboration skills: you work well with engineers, project managers, and peers. 

• Excellent writing, grammar, editing, and content structuring skills. 

• Comfort working in a remote environment and across time zones. 

• Professional, courteous, and relationship-driven approach to teamwork. 

• Demonstrates a customer-service mindset toward both internal stakeholders and the external users of our applications and documentation. 

• You treat documentation as a critical business service, not an afterthought. 

• Proven experience leveraging AI to enhance documentation efficiency, consistency, and insight, along with an enthusiastic and forward-thinking attitude toward emerging AI technologies. 

• Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, or a related field. 

Preferred Skills: 

• Experience documenting integrated enterprise platforms involving the process manufacturing, chemical distribution, and engineering industries. 

• Familiarity with collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and GitHub. 

• Experience creating API documentation.

Datacor is building a brand-new, AI-native, cloud-based ERP platform from the ground up—designed for modern process manufacturers and finance teams who have outgrown legacy ERP systems. This role is not about maintaining or incrementally improving an existing ERP.
It is about defining what ERP should look like when accounting expertise, cloud architecture, and artificial intelligence are treated as first principles.

We are looking for a senior Product Manager to serve as a foundational product leader for this new platform—someone who brings deep accounting credibility, hands-on product-building experience, and real-world experience product managing AI-driven software.

This role reports directly to the Vice President of Product.

The Role: 

Foundational Product Leadership
•    Define the product vision, problem space, and guiding principles for a new AI-native ERP focused on accounting and core financial workflows.
•    Translate accounting, finance, and operational realities into scalable product concepts, domain models, and system behavior.
•    Lead 0→1 product discovery and delivery—from concept validation through early customer adoption.

AI-Native Product Development
•    Identify and design AI-first workflows across accounting and finance (e.g., intelligent automation, anomaly detection, predictive insights, and AI-assisted close).
•    Partner with engineering and data teams to embed AI into the core of the product—not as features, but as foundational capabilities.
•    Personally leverage AI tools to accelerate market research, competitive analysis, product briefs, epics, stories, and prototyping.

Hands-On Product Building
•    Operate with a builder’s mindset—comfortable creating prototypes, exploring APIs, working with data, and validating ideas through hands-on experimentation.
•    Write clear, outcome-driven product briefs, epics, and user stories that align engineering, design, and stakeholders.
•    Make pragmatic trade-offs that balance accounting correctness, usability, scalability, and speed.

Customer & Market Discovery
•    Engage directly with finance leaders, controllers, and operators in process manufacturing to deeply understand pain points and workflows.
•    Validate product direction through pilots, design partnerships, and early access programs.
•    Shape product-market fit by grounding decisions in real customer outcomes rather than legacy ERP conventions.

Cross-Functional Leadership
•    Work closely with Engineering, UX, Data, Strategy, and early GTM teams to move quickly and cohesively.
•    Communicate product vision, priorities, and trade-offs clearly to executives and peers.
•    Help establish modern product discovery and delivery practices appropriate for an early-stage, high-ambition platform.

Qualifications:

• Deep accounting expertise with hands-on knowledge of general ledger, AR/AP, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial close; CPA or CMA strongly preferred.
• Significant experience product managing ERP, accounting, or financial software used by finance teams in complex B2B environments.
• Experience building net-new B2B SaaS products (0→1) or major greenfield initiatives within established platforms.
• Direct experience product managing AI-based or data-driven products, beyond superficial “AI feature” work.
• Technically fluent—comfortable discussing architecture, APIs, data models, and integrations.
• Has built or coded applications (commercial products, internal tools, or serious side projects).
• Actively uses AI in day-to-day work to accelerate thinking, writing, discovery, and execution.
• Strong product judgment with the ability to operate in ambiguity and define structure where none exists.
• Opinionated but pragmatic—able to challenge assumptions while driving forward momentum.
• Equally credible with engineers, designers, and finance leaders.
• Motivated by building something new that materially improves how people work.
