What you'll do:

• Lead complex, consultative enterprise sales cycles across agencies, from opportunity discovery through contract execution
• Build and own a high-value healthcare government account portfolio, developing multi-year strategies aligned to agency modernization and security priorities
• Establish and deepen executive relationships across C-suite, IT, security, and digital transformation leaders, positioning CLEAR as a trusted identity partner
• Translate government identity, fraud, risk, and authentication challenges into scalable solution roadmaps in partnership with Product, Security, and Engineering
• Drive long-term revenue growth by expanding within existing accounts, shaping go-to-market strategy, and representing CLEAR at key industry forums

• Achievement of annual revenue, ACV, and expansion targets across your government portfolio
• Executive relationship depth across multi-threaded stakeholders within priority accounts
• Growth in qualified pipeline and conversion of strategic federal and state opportunities
• Customer retention and measurable modernization outcomes delivered through CLEAR1 deployments

What you're great at:

•  7+ years of experience in enterprise sales, account management, or strategic partnerships within identity, cybersecurity, authentication, fraud/risk, or adjacent technology domains
• Proven success leading complex, multi-stakeholder government sales cycles and closing high-value deals
• Strong understanding of identity management, digital transformation, and modernization initiatives within public sector environments
• Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical topics for executive and non-technical audiences 
• Executive presence, consultative selling expertise, and strong negotiation acumen

This range represents the combined base salary, annual bonus incentive, and new hire equity package (in Restricted Stock Units) for this position at CLEAR. Additionally, this role will be eligible for refresh equity grants as part of our ongoing compensation program. Actual compensation will vary based on factors including, but not limited to, location, education, skills, experience, and performance. All stock based compensation will be subject to the terms and conditions of applicable agreements.

We’re searching for a VP, GovTech Sales to build and scale our government enterprise sales motion from the ground up. This leader will own strategy, execution, and outcomes—driving adoption of CLEAR’s identity platform across federal, state, and local agencies.

What you'll do:

• Define and execute CLEAR’s go-to-market strategy across federal, state, and local government segments
• Carry and deliver against ambitious revenue targets
• Establish trust with senior government stakeholders, procurement leaders, and policy influencers
• Lead multi-threaded deals involving procurement, compliance, legal, and technical stakeholders
• Partner closely with Product, Legal, and Policy to align CLEAR’s offerings with government needs and requirements
• Hire and lead a high-performing team: develop and inspire a world-class GovTech sales organization
• Build scalable systems for pipeline generation, forecasting, and deal execution

How you'll measure success:

• Revenue growth and stickiness across public sector segments

What you're great at:

• 15+ years of public sector sales experience, with strong and current relationships
• You’ve built or scaled a government sales function in a high-growth environment
• Experience selling complex, technical products (identity, security, SaaS, or infrastructure preferred)
• You have a track record of landing large, multi-year public sector contracts
• You can align cross-functional stakeholders across product, legal, and policies
• You’re fluent in procurement processes, compliance requirements, and budget cycles
