JOB SUMMARY:
Intro to the Crisis Prevention and Response (CPR) Team
Our Crisis Response and Prevention team envisions and enables our mission of A World Without Suicide. It is our goal that all of our clients find unwavering support and hope. Why is the CPR Team important?
- Immediate Intervention: Prompt assistance during moments of acute distress or emotional upheaval.
- Safety and Stabilization: Ensuring the well-being and stability of participants during critical situations.
- Continuity of Care: Ensuring support during acute moments whilst in treatment ensuring continuity from the group experience to the individual/family experience.
- Preventing Relapses and Hospitalizations: Reducing the risk of relapses and the need for hospitalizations.
- Suicide and Self-Harm Prevention: Identifying warning signs and intervening to prevent self-harm or suicide.
What does a Crisis Intervention Specialist do?
A part-time Crisis Intervention Specialist at Charlie Health plays a crucial role in ensuring the safety and stability of our clients during acute mental health crises. They are responsible for immediate screening and intervention when clients exhibit severe emotional distress or harmful behaviors. Crisis Intervention Specialists collaborate with the clinical team to screen risk of highly acute clients, develop crisis intervention plans, de-escalate dysregulated clients, and connect patients with appropriate resources to facilitate their recovery and well-being within the IOP setting.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Monitors crisis queues for clients receiving individual therapy, family therapy, and participating in group sessions
- Responds to inbound crisis calls providing real-time risk assessment, de-escalation, and safety planning
- Screen risk and collaborates on stabilization planning for clients at risk of harm to themselves or others
- Completes all required documentation in alignment with compliance standards and Charlie Health's best practices
- Serves as key point of contact for crisis triage during client group sessions in collaboration with Senior Care Coaches and Care Coaches
- Conducts case consults with Care Team members as needed
- Supports all Care Team members (i.e., Primary Therapists, Care Coaches, Group Facilitators, etc.) in collaboration regarding the client's care
- Other care coordination tasks as needed
- Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Director of Crisis Response and Prevention or the Chief Clinical Officer
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must reside and be licensed in the state of Oregon
- Independently licensed clinician
- Previous experience in crisis preferred
- Ability to work a minimum of 12 hours per week with flexibility to meet the needs of the team and clients
- Motivated individual who is passionate about mental health, able to perform in a high-paced environment, and eager to play a formative role in shaping a growing business.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills required. Familiarity with cloud-based communication and relevant software—Gmail, Slack, Dropbox, Zoom, EMR.

About the Role
Charlie Health is looking for a motivated and passionate individual to serve our incredible clients as a Care Coach. Care Coaches at Charlie Health are individuals who advocate for mental health and are personally passionate about ensuring successful, sustainable healing journeys of those around them. This candidate will be able to empathize with and validate the challenges our clients are navigating, while providing motivation and encouragement to continue engaging in therapy.
Responsibilities
- Engages Charlie Health clients in 1:1 peer discussions via secure platforms to ensure clients are aligned in their treatment goals and attending programming.
- Provides skill-based interventions aimed at stabilizing clients in moments of heightened stress.
- Provides risk screenings and safety planning, escalating to crisis clinicians as is indicated
- Remain a resource during programming to maintain engagement throughout treatment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree (earned or in senior year) in Psychology, Sociology, Social Work or social/mental health related field and/or relevant certifications (Certified Peer Specialist - national or state accredited).
- 2nd year Master's students preferred
- Previous expertise working with young adults and adolescents in both individual and group settings is highly preferred (Inpatient, IOP, PHP, or RTC)
- Preferred: 1+ years experience in working as a mental health peer support, mentor, skills trainer, or mental health associate.
- For Those Applying in VA
- Virginia PRS or FSP certification and registration
- Advocate for client needs and ensure individualized goals are met in accordance with their assessment and treatment plan
- Must have direct experience and lived experience with mental health or substance use disorders. This could include parenting a child/youth with these experiences.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are required as well as knowledge of professional board
standards as related to client treatment, client rights, and client confidentiality. - Eager to work in a fast-paced environment and play a critical role in supporting the success of patient treatment.
Requirements - W2 part-time role
- Must be available for 10 hours/week minimum, and to work 3 days/week min to work a 3-3.5 hour shift each day.
- Care Coaches must have availability within the below time frames:
- Monday - Thursday from 10am-10pm MT
- Friday 3-8pm MT
- Saturday 7-2pm MT or 3-9pm MT
- Rotating Fridays and Saturdays required
- Availability for both preferred
- Cannot drop below 10 hours of availability. Could get up to 28 hours weekly. Availability that aligns with our needs they are hired on with would need to be maintain throughout employment.
- Have access to reliable WiFi to work in a remote and confidential setting.
- Authorized to work in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency.
- Proficiency with cloud-based communication and software–Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, EMR.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office–Excel, or Google Sheets.
Additional Information
The expected pay for this role will be $20.00 per hour.

About the Role
As the Care Coach Lead, you will oversee a team of care coaches and be responsible for ensuring the delivery of exceptional, compassionate care to our clients. You will provide guidance and mentorship to your team, ensuring that all care coaches are supported in their professional development while maintaining a high standard of care. This role involves both direct service and leadership responsibilities, collaborating with clinical teams to help clients navigate their mental health journey.
Responsibilities
- Lead, train, and support a team of care coaches in their daily responsibilities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture that emphasizes open communication, respect, and mutual support.
- Ensure care coaches are meeting performance metrics and delivering high-quality, client-centered care.
- Conduct regular team meetings and 1:1s to provide ongoing feedback and support.
- Support the continuous improvement of programs by reviewing care coach performance, client outcomes, and feedback to identify areas for growth.
- Assist in the onboarding and ongoing training of new care coaches.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years working experience in a Crisis position as a Supervisor
- Available evenings (until 9p MST) and Saturdays
- Prior management experience
- Experience in a KPI driven environment
- Clinical background or licensure a plus

The expected base pay for this role will be between $55,000 and $70,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay will be determined on an individualized basis and will be impacted by location and years of experience. Further, base pay is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Charlie Health-sponsored benefits.

About the Role
Charlie Health is looking for a dynamic individual to support our clinical team with scheduling & attendance, data collection, technology issues, and project based tasks. This candidate will play a critical role in maintaining the efficiency of our clinical team to deliver the best possible care to our clients.
Responsibilities
- Open groups and ensure technical setup for day's expected clients
- Virtual interaction with clients -- welcoming them to group, answering questions
- Facilitates client and group facilitator virtual entry during treatment session
- Monitors group attendance and helps to contact any absent clients
- Verifies and publishes group attendance for all days and times of treatment
- Effectively communicates client absences, technological difficulties, or clinical concerns with relevant team members, clients, and families
- Provides clients and families with calendar invitations and text reminders to treatment sessions
- Track and monitor alumni or family groups as needed
- Administer surveys
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- W2 part-time role
- Must be available for 10 hours/week minimum
- Clinical Administrators must have availability:
- Monday - Thursday from 3-8pm MT (highly preferred) or
- Monday - Thursday from 10-2pm MT
- Friday/Saturday availability highly preferred
- Work authorized in the United States and native or bilingual English proficiency
- Have access to reliable technology resources & WiFi to work in a remote setting
- Previous expertise working with a wide range of ages, including children, teens, young adults, and adults clients in both individual and group settings is highly preferred
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently and efficiently
- Proficiency with cloud-based communication and software–Slack, Dropbox, Gmail, Zoom, Google Drive, EMR
- Limited proficiency in Microsoft Office–Excel, or Google Sheets

Additional Information
The expected pay for this role will be $20.00 per hour.
Based on the nature of this role, you will need to complete several state background checks for clearance to see clients. Florida requires a fingerprint based background check, with more information found here. Please note that the cost for this background check will be paid for in full by Charlie Health.
