Accounts Administrator - Charles Hurst
6 month FTC contract
Salary: Up to £26,250 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Monday - Friday 08.45 -17.00
Charles Hurst is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to support our finance team on a Fixed Term Contract. This role is ideal for someone with strong administrative and numerical skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Processing invoices, payments, and expenses
Supporting accounts payable and receivable activities
Maintaining accurate financial records and documentation
Assisting with reconciliations and month-end processes
Liaising with internal teams and suppliers as required
About You
Previous experience in an accounts or finance administration role
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Confident using accounting systems and Microsoft Excel
Able to work independently and as part of a team

Credit Controller - Charles Hurst Head Office - 6 month FTC
Salary: Up to £26,250 per annum
Charles Hurst is looking for an experienced and proactive Credit Controller to join our finance team. This role plays a key part in managing customer accounts, maintaining cash flow, and building strong internal and external relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Managing and collecting outstanding debt in line with agreed credit terms
Allocating and reconciling customer payments
Reviewing and setting credit limits
Resolving account queries and disputes efficiently
Producing regular debt and cash collection reports
Working closely with internal departments to minimise overdue balances
About You
Previous experience in a credit control role
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Excellent attention to detail and time management

As an Assistant Accountant, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Supporting with all financial reconciliations, including bank and supplier accounts
Processing invoices, payments, and credit notes accurately and on time
Assisting with month-end and year-end reporting
Liaising with internal teams to resolve queries and ensure accurate financial records
Assisting with payroll and other ad-hoc accounting tasks as required
Ensuring compliance with internal controls and company procedures
No experience in the automotive sector? No problem! We welcome new colleagues from all finance backgrounds and provide full training to get you up to speed. Ideally, we’re looking for someone who has completed a finance-related placement, internship, or degree, and is eager to apply their skills in a professional accounting environment.
Strong IT skills, attention to detail, and a proactive, can-do attitude are essential for this role. You’ll need excellent organisational skills and the ability to build positive relationships across the business.

Salary: £35,000 On Target Earnings - including bonus of £29,000 per annum

Charles Hurst is the largest automotive retailer in Northern Ireland, with dealerships across Belfast and beyond. Our aftersales departments are a key part of our business, looking after our customers long after they have purchased their vehicle.
We are looking for Service Advisors to join our aftersales teams across the group. This role suits someone who enjoys working with people, staying organised and being at the centre of a busy department where no two days are the same. A Service Advisor is the link between our customers and our workshop, making sure customers are looked after and kept informed while their vehicle is with us.
What the job actually involves
• Booking services, MOTs and repair work for customers
• Greeting customers and discussing the work required on their vehicle
• Keeping customers updated while their vehicle is in the workshop
• Liaising with technicians and the workshop to manage vehicle progress
• Managing phone calls, online bookings and customer enquiries
• Advising customers on service plans, warranty and additional work where appropriate
• Making sure customer and vehicle records are accurate and up to date
What we’re looking for
• Good with people and easy to talk to
• Organised and able to manage a busy workload
• Professional, friendly and reliable
• Able to explain information clearly to customers
• A team player who works well with others
• Previous Service Advisor or customer service experience would be helpful but not essential
What matters
You don’t need to know everything on day one. What matters most is that you care about customers, stay organised and take responsibility for your work. If you communicate well, keep customers informed and stay on top of your workload, you will do very well in this role and can build a strong career within Charles Hurst.

This is a newly created role with a clear objective: increase customer retention and service plan penetration. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who understands aftersales profitability, customer behaviour, and the long-term value of retention.
Proactively contact Usedirect and existing customers to convert them onto service plans
Re-engage lapsed customers and drive return-to-service retention
Clearly explain the benefits of service plans, including cost certainty and manufacturer-trained technicians
Achieve agreed monthly service plan targets, ensuring the role remains cost-neutral and profitable
Work closely with Aftersales, Marketing, and Dealership teams to align messaging and offers
Track performance, conversions, and customer outcomes using CRM and reporting tools
Provide insight and feedback to Head Office on customer objections, trends, and opportunities
