Position Description:
Calico is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Principal Investigator, Cardiovascular Research to lead laboratory investigations and drug development efforts focused on cardiovascular diseases during aging. This critical role will involve designing and executing research strategies to identify and validate novel drug targets for age-related cardiovascular conditions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in cardiovascular biology, aging research, target identification and validation, and drug discovery. Experience with in vivo and in vitro models of cardiovascular disease and aging is highly desirable. This position offers the opportunity to contribute directly to the development of therapeutics aimed at improving cardiovascular healthspan.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $220,000 - $241,000. Actual pay will be based on a number of factors including experience and qualifications. This position is also eligible for two annual cash bonuses.

Position Description:
Calico is seeking a machine learning scientist to join a research group investigating how genome sequence determines regulatory function and how dysregulation of these programs drives aging. We develop sequence-based deep learning models that predict gene expression, chromatin accessibility, and other functional readouts directly from DNA. We use these models to interpret human genetic variation, map causal regulatory mechanisms, and identify promising intervention points.

Position Description:
Calico is seeking a highly motivated neuroscientist to join a collaborative research team focused on Parkinson’s Disease biology. This is a position for a fearless scientist interested in testing emerging mechanistic and therapeutic hypotheses through the development of fit-for-purpose in vivo models. The candidate should have a broad background in systems neuroscience and neurophysiology. The candidate will work closely with scientists and leaders in translational neuroscience, research physiology, genomics, data science and advanced imaging groups. The candidate may lead programs from exploratory biology through early drug development.

Position Description:
Calico is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Head of Research to lead our early discovery research group of talented Principal Investigators and their laboratory teams. This role will be critical in developing research strategies, evaluating research progress, and advancing our early stage drug discovery pipeline for improving healthspan by developing new therapeutics for aging and aging-related diseases. We seek expertise in applying cutting-edge biochemical, molecular, and cell biological techniques, including microscopic and "omics" technologies, to unlock the complexities of aging physiology. Experience in moving projects from early discovery research to translational drug development will be important.
