What you'll do:

• Assists dietary unit as needed with set ups, clean up, policing spills during meals, etc.
• Keeps utility storage rooms in good order by cleaning lockers and equipment, arranging supplies, and sweeping and mopping floor. Organizes and maintains linen closets in a safe and orderly condition at all times.
• Reports issues of department equipment when it is not in good working condition in accordance with manufacturer’s operational standards.
• Detects and corrects, or reports, hazardous conditions that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries to residents, employees, or visitors.

• Vacuum, shampoo, deodorize, and disinfect all carpets.
• Operate large scrubbers, buffers, and polishers to maintain all hallways.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing, etc.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film, and other contaminants from surfaces using appropriate cleaning/disinfecting solutions. Properly mix/dilute housekeeping chemicals and products according to instructions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and refill the trash receptacle with a plastic liner.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Report burned-out light bulbs, exit lights, overhead lights, fluorescent lights, etc., to your supervisor as soon as practical.

• Timely deliver personal clothes and laundry to the High Rise, Sagecrest and the Green Houses.

• Follow all infection control practices for the laundry in accordance with established policies and procedures. Follow all safety policies and procedures.
• Properly mix/dilute laundry detergents/chemicals and products according to instructions.
• Detect, correct and/or immediately report situations that have a possibility of causing accidents or injuries to residents or others.
