Essential Job Duties
This role sits at the center of BambooHR’s Compensation and Benchmarking strategy within our HRIS product management team. You will own the product strategy and execution for experiences that help customers benchmark roles, manage compensation structures, guide pay decisions, and report on compensation with confidence.
You’ll build for multiple user groups: HR and People leaders who need trusted data and flexible workflows, managers who need clear context and guardrails for compensation decisions, and business leaders who need visibility into compensation trends, consistency, and budget impact.
You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product Design, Data, Customer Experience, Product Marketing, and adjacent BambooHR product teams to ensure compensation experiences are deeply connected to core HRIS data and people workflows. This is a high-autonomy role on a collaborative team for a PM who enjoys solving sensitive, data-rich workflow problems and turning them into elegant, scalable product experiences.
You will:
- Define the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for Compensation and Benchmarking within BambooHR.
- Build intuitive workflows for compensation planning, pay changes, approvals, pay ranges, and compensation review cycles.
- Create benchmarking experiences that help customers match roles, understand market pay, and make informed compensation decisions.
- Connect compensation workflows to core HRIS data and lifecycle moments, including employee records, job and level changes, location data, manager relationships, and other people workflows.
- Strengthen data, permissions, and reporting foundations by improving visibility into pay positioning, benchmark coverage, compensation changes, approval history, and auditability while protecting sensitive information.
- Partner with Engineering and Product Design to turn customer needs into clear requirements, prioritize tradeoffs, and deliver high-impact solutions.
- Use data, research, and experimentation to improve product adoption, administrative efficiency, decision confidence, and customer value.
- Apply AI thoughtfully to reduce administrative effort, improve matching and insights, and surface relevant compensation context where it adds real value.
What You Need to Get the Job Done

- 3+ years of PM experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, HR tech, compensation, benchmarking, workforce planning, analytics, finance, or other data-rich workflow software.
- Domain fluency in compensation, HR, finance, workforce planning, or other operational workflows. You understand customer problems around pay ranges, market benchmarking, compensation planning, approvals, and reporting.
- Experience balancing administrator, manager, and leadership experiences. You can build powerful configuration, planning, and reporting tools while also giving decision-makers the context they need.
- Strong product craft in systems-rich environments. You’re comfortable with data models, permissions, workflow automation, reporting, and integrations.
- Experience working with sensitive data and designing trustworthy, permission-aware experiences.
- AI as a practical tool. You use AI to accelerate your own work and think thoughtfully about where AI can create better product experiences.
- Analytical and customer-centered. You use data, research, and experimentation to prioritize opportunities and measure outcomes.
- Entrepreneurial drive. You create clarity, move through ambiguity, and lead well across functions.

Essential Job Duties
We’re looking for a curious, motivated Group Product Manager to join our Product Team and lead a critical product area supporting our Payroll Services organization spanning both internal tooling and customer-facing experiences, with an emphasis on Taxes and Money Movement.
This role operates at the intersection of product, financial systems, and operational excellence. You will be responsible for defining and driving strategy across multiple teams, ensuring we build scalable, compliant, and reliable systems that power payroll outcomes for our customers. You and your team will play a key role in ensuring BambooHR delivers accurate, timely, and compliant payroll experiences while unlocking future innovation in how money moves and taxes are managed.
You will:
- Own and drive product strategy across multiple teams, defining clear investment areas and aligning them to company and Payroll Services objectives.
- Coach and develop a high-performing team of Product Managers, raising the bar for product thinking, execution, and impact across the team.
- Partner closely with Design and Engineering leadership to execute on the product roadmap, including influencing the evolution of how we build and deliver great products using AI enabled tools and practices
- Own portfolio prioritization and planning cadence (OKRs, quarterly planning, roadmap communication) ensuring clear tradeoffs and measurable outcomes.
- Drive measurable business outcomes for all key areas under your stewardship
- Collaborate with executive leadership, customer experience, finance, legal, payroll services, customer experience and product leadership teams to align product strategy with overall business objectives.
- Act as the spokesperson for your teams, effectively communicating product updates, milestones, and strategy to all internal stakeholders.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- 8+ years of Product Management experience, with 2-3 years in a leadership or people management role

- Exceptional communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively

Essential Job Duties
We are seeking a strategic and accomplished product leader to join our product leadership team as Vice President of Product Management, Platform, reporting to the Chief Product Officer (CPO).
This role is responsible for owning and evolving BambooHR’s core platform, including foundational platform services, Product Data Services, workflow and orchestration engine, integration and API capabilities, developer experience, payroll platform services, AI Agent platform components (shared AI services, agent/runtime capabilities, governance and observability), and entitlements, packaging, billing, and metering infrastructure.
The VP of Platform will define and execute a long-term platform strategy that enables BambooHR’s product portfolio to scale, innovate, and move faster—while ensuring reliability, security, and extensibility across the company. This role is primarily accountable for internal platform products and shared capabilities that enable BambooHR’s customer-facing product teams to move faster and build reliably at scale.
This leader serves as a critical internal stakeholder and partner to Product, Engineering, Strategic Integrations, CX, and Revenue teams, ensuring platform capabilities are aligned to product strategy and business outcomes.
You will:
- Platform Strategy and Product Leadership
- Define and communicate a compelling 1–3 year platform product strategy that aligns with BambooHR’s company vision and product roadmap.
- Own the platform roadmap across foundational services, Product Data Services, workflow and orchestration engine, payroll platform services, AI Agent platform, integration/API platform & developer experience, and entitlements, packaging, billing, and metering infrastructure.
- Ensure the platform is scalable, secure, extensible, and resilient, serving as the foundation for all BambooHR product innovation.
- Balance near-term delivery needs with long-term architectural and capability investments.
- Oversee the full product lifecycle for platform capabilities, from ideation through deprecation.
- Internal Enablement and Stakeholder Partnership:
- Act as the primary internal product stakeholder for platform capabilities, partnering closely with Product leaders across Core HR, Payroll, AI, and future product lines.
- Translate company and product strategy into platform investments that unlock speed, leverage, and differentiation for customer-facing teams.
- Establish clear engagement models, prioritization frameworks, and communication rhythms between Platform and other product organizations.
- Drive platform capability adoption and culture through enablement, migration planning, and change management.
- Business Impact & Outcomes:
- Drive measurable improvements in time-to-market, reliability, scalability, and developer productivity across the organization.
- Own platform-related investment planning, resourcing strategy, and financial tradeoffs.
- Make data-informed decisions that optimize platform ROI and long-term business impact.
- Lead cross-functional initiatives to modernize systems, reduce technical friction, and improve operational excellence.
- Clearly communicate platform strategy, progress, and tradeoffs to the executive team.
- Workflow leverage (reuse of shared orchestration, reduction in bespoke workflow implementations)
- AI, Data, & Technical Leverage:
- Own platform-level AI capabilities, including shared AI services, models, and infrastructure that enable responsible, scalable AI adoption across BambooHR.
- Partner with Data and Engineering leaders to ensure strong data foundations, governance, and analytics capabilities.
- AI platform outcomes (agent success rates, eval coverage, safe deployment guardrails)
- Team Leadership and Organization Design:
- Build, lead, and mentor a high-performing Platform Product Management organization.
- Develop strong Directors and senior product leaders, with clear ownership and accountability.
- Design and maintain a healthy leadership structure with clear succession plans.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, clarity, technical curiosity, and customer impact.
- Champion an inclusive, high-trust environment where teams can do their best work.
What You Need to Get the Job Done
- Minimum of 12+ years of progressive product management experience, with a minimum of 5 years operating at a Director or VP level and managing other product leaders.
- Demonstrated success scaling a platform, with a track record of driving business impact by delivering foundational capabilities—such as third-party data ingestion, integrations, APIs, and internal tooling—that unlock revenue growth and accelerate product teams.
- Experience successfully leading international product expansion and tailoring platform strategies for global markets.
- Demonstrated experience in leading and developing high-performance product management teams.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with a track record of making data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at the executive level.
- Bachelor's degree required. MBA or advanced technical degree preferred.
