Babylist is looking for a Senior Business Analyst, AI & Automation to help define how we operate today — and how we evolve through AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, and intelligent automation. This is a true 0→1 role at a company leaning fully into what AI makes possible. Every team already uses tools like Claude daily, and this role helps turn that into durable, system-level workflows.

Your focus is understanding how work actually gets done. Where decisions happen. Where things break down. Where time is spent on work that shouldn’t require human effort. Who You Are

• 8+ years in business analysis, process improvement, or systems design, with a track record of leading end-to-end process discovery across multiple business functions
• You have deep experience translating ambiguous, real-world workflows into structured artifacts (BRDs, process maps, or equivalent) that both business stakeholders and technical teams can act on
• You’ve worked on AI or automation-driven initiatives, with a clear understanding of where LLMs are effective, where they break, and how to design around those constraints
• You have hands-on experience with LLM platforms or AI tools (Claude, OpenAI, Gemini, or similar) and understand how to use them to explore, test, and refine workflows
• You’re familiar with prompt engineering concepts, including structuring inputs, controlling outputs, and designing for consistency in LLM behavior
• You understand how AI systems operate in production, including RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), tool/function calling, or multi-agent workflows, at a practical level
• You have experience defining decision logic, exception handling, and edge cases in a way that holds up beyond ideal scenarios
• You’ve written or contributed to evaluation frameworks (evals) for AI-powered workflows, including defining what “good” looks like and how to measure model performance
• You’re a strong cross-functional partner, comfortable going deep with business teams to understand how they actually work and translating that into clear, buildable specifications
• You communicate with clarity and structure, producing artifacts that drive decisions — not just documentation that sits unused

How You Will Make An Impact

• Lead end-to-end process discovery across key business areas, uncovering how work actually happens and where AI-driven automation creates the most leverage
• Design and document current- and future-state workflows that clearly define intent, decision points, and system behavior in formats both humans and AI agents can act on
• Identify and prioritize AI and automation opportunities based on business impact, data availability, and operational constraints
• Define AI-ready process specifications, including intents, decision logic, context design, tool definitions, retrieval strategies, human-in-the-loop steps, escalation paths, and guardrails
• Translate process insights into clear, structured artifacts (process flows, BRDs, prompt specs, analysis summaries) that stakeholders can align on and engineering can build from
• Partner closely with the AI enablement team and engineering to align process design with system architecture, model constraints, and data quality requirements
• Establish success metrics for AI-powered workflows, including evaluation frameworks, observability requirements, and Responsible AI considerations
• Support UAT readiness and rollout, ensuring workflows account for real-world edge cases, failure modes, and user behavior

About Compensation

What the Role Is

As Babylist’s Senior Engineering Manager, Machine Learning & Discovery+Site Monetization, you’ll lead the team driving the next era of our machine learning and personalization efforts across the product. This is a hands-on leadership role for a manager who remains technically fluent while scaling people, systems, and impact. You’ll manage and grow a high-performing ML-focused pod spanning product recommendations, search, PLPs, and site monetization, with a clear mandate: maximize revenue and user value across surface areas through personalization.

You’ll guide the team on technical direction behind our homepage feed, “add next” experience, and other core personalization surfaces, while building the foundations for long-term ML excellence at Babylist.

Who You Are

• 3+ years of experience as a front-line manager delivering production-grade software or ML systems
• 5+ years of experience as an individual contributor in ML or Data Science, plus proven experience leading teams that build end-to-end machine learning systems, ideally in personalization, recommendations, or consumer-facing ML products
• Deep familiarity with the Python ML ecosystem (e.g., pandas, sklearn, xgboost, PyTorch) and comfortable reviewing designs, unblocking technical challenges, and setting high technical standards
• Experience supervising ML Engineers and/or Data Scientists; bonus points for experience managing Software Engineers
• Strong understanding of the full ML lifecycle, including data pipelines, workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow), deployment, monitoring, and iteration in production
• Product-minded: passionate about technology, but primarily motivated by solving real user problems and driving business impact
• Experience working with large-scale, real-time or near-real-time data systems

What the Role Is

Babylist is looking for a Senior Software Engineer, Site Reliability to join our Platform team. In this position, you will play a vital role in ensuring our systems and services' stability, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with all Babylist Engineering teams to support shared infrastructure and developer tools. Your expertise in site reliability engineering, AWS cloud infrastructure, and modern DevOps practices will be instrumental in optimizing our systems and driving continuous improvement. 

Who You Are

• 8+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or similar role, demonstrating a strong background in maintaining highly available and scalable systems
• Experience supporting high-traffic consumer-facing websites, understanding the unique challenges and considerations in maintaining such systems
• Proficiency with Terraform is a must, as you will be a member of the team responsible for managing and building our AWS infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices
• You possess strong experience working with AWS cloud-based infrastructure and services, ensuring their reliability, performance, and security
• Proficiency with Docker and Kubernetes is essential, as you will contribute to the design, deployment, and management of containerized applications in our environment

• A high-performing engineer with 6+ years of iOS development experience and a strong understanding of the capabilities, limitations, and intricacies of the iOS platform
• You have proven experience in iOS app development using Swift and a deep understanding of its syntax, features, and best practices

How You Will Make An Impact

• Own the full development lifecycle of the Babylist iOS app — conceptualizing, designing, building, and maintaining features that deliver a seamless, delightful user experience
• Optimize app performance by identifying areas for improvement, refining code, and employing techniques that keep interactions fast and responsive
• Partner closely with designers, product managers, and full-stack engineers to translate requirements into intuitive, visually polished interfaces and align on architecture and API design

What the Role Is

Babylist is looking for a passionate Fullstack Staff Software Engineer to join our Babylist Health team. Launched in October 2022, Babylist Health provides a more user-friendly and transparent way for people to purchase a breast pump through insurance with incredible opportunities to broaden offerings for pregnancy, child, and new parent health in the future. This distributed team is responsible for scaling the technical systems and creating a user-friendly storefront that will support Babylist Health’s goals. You will also work on new strategic initiatives to expand the health offerings as we grow this business. Who You Are

• A high-performing engineer with 10+ years of experience and a proven track record of delivering end-to-end solutions that drive business growth
