Description:
The Athletics are currently seeking a Coordinator, Youth Baseball & Softball. This full-time position will serve to provide administrative and operational support for the development and execution of the day-to-day youth baseball and softball (YBAS) engagement that are strategically aligned with the A’s mission and business objectives. This position will assist primarily in the implementation and coordination of community engagement initiatives and civic service initiatives in Nevada. 

Responsibilities:

• Lead the execution and implementation of youth baseball and softball (YBAS) programming
• Assist in the distribution of Future A’s jerseys and hats to youth baseball/softball teams 
• Coordinate Major League Baseball YBAS initiatives, including but not limited to: Play Ball, Jr Home Run Derby, UMPS Care, RBI, and Pitch Hit & Run
• Collaborate cross-functionally to plan and execute programming and storytelling opportunities
• Help produce recap reports for all YBAS programs
• Manage YBAS database, including donation records and inventory tracking
• Support database management, event tracking, and evaluation reporting
• Support and fulfill all monetary and in-kind donation disbursement to YBAS leagues
• Provide support for community engagement initiatives in Sacramento and Nevada, as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from a four-year college or university; Business Administration, Sports Management or related field experience preferred
• Demonstrated knowledge of baseball or softball through playing, coaching, or other relevant experience
• Must have a valid driver’s license, with a verifiable safe driving record
• Strong relationship building skills and familiarity with the local community of Las Vegas
• Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule including holidays, weekends and evenings, as required
• Willing and able to occasionally travel
• Willing and able to lift 25+ pounds and sit/stand for long periods of time
• Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, including Word and Excel

Description:
The Intern, Technology is an entry-level role designed for individuals looking to gain hands-on experience in IT support within a fast-paced sports and entertainment environment. This position supports day-to-day technical operations, assists with troubleshooting hardware and software issues, and helps ensure a seamless technology experience for staff and guests. The intern will work closely with the IT department while developing foundational skills in endpoint management, Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, and information security.

Responsibilities:

Technical Support & Troubleshooting 

• Assist in responding to technical support requests for hardware, software, and connectivity issues
• Provide basic troubleshooting support for Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android devices
• Help set up and maintain office and venue equipment, including laptops, printers, and mobile devices
• Support setup and maintenance of office and/or ballpark equipment, including laptops, printers, point-of-sale systems, and mobile devices
• Escalate complex issues to senior team members as needed

Endpoint & Microsoft 365 / Google Workspace Support

• Support users with Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive as well as Google Workspace environment
• Assist with device setup, imaging, and deployment processes
• Help maintain user accounts and permissions under supervision

Event and/or Ballpark Technology Support 

• Participate in routine checks of office and venue technology to ensure readiness
• Assist with technology setup and support during meetings, game days, and live events
• Help document common issues and solutions for team reference

Information Security Support

• Assist in monitoring and reporting suspicious activities such as phishing emails
• Support basic security tasks, including data collection and documentation
• Learn and help follow organizational security policies and best practices

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Available to work on-site in West Sac, CA/Las Vegas, NV for the duration of the program (May–August)
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field 
• Basic understanding of computer systems, mobile devices, and common business applications
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace tools preferred
• Familiarity with help desk or IT support environments (academic or professional) preferred
• Must be willing and able to complete the entire duration of the program

Description:

The Director, Events will lead the strategy, development, and execution of the A’s full event ecosystem in Las Vegas, including signature, community, philanthropic, partner, and civic events. This role will establish and oversee an internal Events Department, creating a centralized, full-service function that supports all departments with consistent processes, creative direction, and operational excellence. Responsibilities:

• Lead and execute an organization-wide events strategy aligned with business priorities and brand positioning
• Establish the Events Department as the internal partner, driving structure, creativity, and operational excellence
• Implement scalable processes and standards to ensure consistency, efficiency, and brand continuity

Qualifications/Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in event management, venue operations, sports, entertainment, non-profit, or hospitality.
• 5 years of experience in a team leadership or supervisory role.
• Experience planning and executing large-scale high-profile events, preferably in a ballpark, stadium, arena, or major venue environment.
• Willing and able to work a non-traditional schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on event and game schedules.
• Willing and able to occasionally travel.
