We’re looking for a Sr. Heat Exchanger Engineer to own the design, specification, and development of heat exchangers across Arbor’s supercritical CO₂ power system. You’ll span the full range—from specifying and technically managing third-party shell-and-tube coolers and air coolers, to leading in-house detailed design of advanced compact heat exchangers in high-temperature nickel superalloys. You’ll work closely with thermodynamic cycle analysts, mechanical systems engineers, and test engineers in a fast-paced, hands-on R&D environment. This is a rare opportunity to apply deep thermal-fluids and manufacturing expertise to climate-impactful technology at the frontier of power generation.
Base Pay: $165,000 - $180,000 USD/year. The salary is subject to the applicant's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

We are seeking a Cycle Performance Engineer to own the thermodynamic model of our direct-fired supercritical CO₂ Brayton cycle power loop — connecting design intent to real-world test results. In this role, you will plan and execute performance analysis campaigns, predict system response ahead of testing, and reconcile model output against test data to sharpen our understanding of first-of-a-kind technology. You will work closely with test engineers, combustion engineers, turbomachinery engineers, and our recuperator and fluid systems teams, translating integrated system behavior into clear, actionable technical insight. This is hands-on, high-stakes engineering work on climate-impactful technology at the frontier of what's possible in clean power.
Base Pay: $140,000 - $155,000 USD/year. The salary is subject to the applicant's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.

We are seeking a Test Engineer to develop, execute, and oversee testing procedures and test stand hardware to test complex fluid, mechanical and electrical systems. This role involves designing test plans, analyzing performance data, building and troubleshooting test stand fluids and instrumentation systems, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate has experience in test automation, data acquisition, and working with high-energy or hazardous systems. This position requires on-site work with up to 40% travel to local test facilities.
Base Pay: $130,000 - $150,000 USD/year. The salary is subject to the applicant's skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
