The Role

On-site Peer Support Specialist at our Brooklyn clinic in New York City. Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm ET.

What You'll Work On

• Provide one-on-one coaching to support members' personal goals, inspire self-discovery, and strengthen skills for care
• Plan and lead group activities that encourage participation, build community, and celebrate progress
• Help members access and navigate community resources and support services
• Conduct field work in the community, including home check-ins and attending events with members as a supportive peer
• Collaborate with teammates and clinical staff to ensure every member receives compassionate, coordinated support

What You'll Have

• NYS Certified Peer Specialist (NYCPS) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of stable, personal recovery
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• At least 2 years of experience supporting individuals with mental health and/or substance use challenges
• Strong coaching and motivational skills, with ability to support individuals through challenges and model effective coping strategies
• Ability to engage effectively one-on-one and in groups; group facilitation experience preferred
• Knowledge of the New York City area mental health and social service systems
• Understanding of member rights, confidentiality, and trauma-informed care
• Holistic approach to health and wellness
• Basic computer proficiency (Google Suite, EHR documentation)

Compensation & Benefits

The Role

We are hiring a Psychiatrist (Part-time) to join us onsite in our up-and-coming Brooklyn, NY clinic as part of an interdisciplinary team committed to providing personalized, compassionate, high-quality SMI care.

What You'll Do

• Provide behavioral healthcare management to Amae Health patients; monitor and manage care through an array of treatment modalities as patients progress through phases of recovery
• Develop individualized treatment plans during the engagement and stabilization phase, focused on specific psychosocial and medical needs that might limit recovery
• Provide continuous, regular consultations as patients navigate recovery, both in person and occasionally virtually
• Liaise with patient care teams and collaborate with behavioral health providers to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach to care
• Address medical needs to mitigate negative impacts of social determinants of health

What You'll Have

• Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Psychiatrist, with a NY license and DEA that are active, unrestricted, and in good standing
• In possession of or willing to obtain Clozapine REMS certification and Medicaid enrollment if needed
• Prior experience with mental health and/or addiction issues; familiarity with the medical, mental health, and social service systems in the greater NYC area
• Holistic perspective on health and understanding of patient rights
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a wide range of settings with people from diverse backgrounds
• Comfort working one-on-one or in group settings; strong coaching and negotiation skills
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ease adapting in a dynamic environment
• Solid understanding of technology and a passion for utilizing technology to improve care delivery

Compensation & Benefits

Amae Health is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The base salary for this part-time role will be prorated from a full-time equivalent range of $300,000–$330,000 per year, adjusted based on market benchmarks. Benefit packages will be available if part-time schedule is 24+ hours/week. We’ll share specifics during the interview process.

The Role

We are hiring a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) (full or part-time) to join our growing Brooklyn clinic as part of an interdisciplinary team dedicated to delivering personalized, compassionate, high-quality care for individuals with SMI.

What You'll Do

• Provide behavioral healthcare management to Amae Health patients; monitor and manage care through an array of treatment modalities as patients progress through phases of recovery
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations and assessments and provide ongoing medication management for patients with serious mental illness
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on addressing specific psychosocial and medical needs that might limit recovery
• Provide continuous, regular consultations as patients navigate recovery, both in person and occasionally virtually
• Liaise with patient care teams and collaborate closely with behavioral health providers to ensure an integrated, cohesive approach to care
• Address medical and behavioral health needs to mitigate the negative impacts of social determinants of health
• Educate patients and families about mental health conditions, treatment options, and recovery planning

What You'll Have

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program
• Board certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
• Active, unrestricted New York NP license and prescriptive authority in good standing
• DEA registration (or ability to obtain)
• In possession of or willingness to obtain Clozapine REMS certification and Medicaid enrollment, if needed
• A minimum of 2 years working with SMI/outpatient
• Familiarity with the medical, mental health, and social service systems in the greater New York City area
• Holistic perspective on health and understanding of patient rights

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation includes a full time base salary of $170,000 - $200,000 (based on level & experience). Total compensation includes comprehensive medical/dental/vision,  PTO, parental leave, and programs built around employee well-being. Note that part-time comp and benefits packages will vary depending on schedule. We’ll share specifics during the interview process.
