We are looking for a skilled backend software engineer to join the Product Catalogs team. Our team builds products and infrastructure that enable retail advertisers to succeed on Reddit. On our team, you’d work projects like:

• Catalog System Scaling - In order to support larger and more sophisticated advertisers, we must scale our system to support millions of products per customer. You’ll have the opportunity to perform load testing, identify bottlenecks, and deploy optimizations to make these customers successful.
• Catalog Management - With millions of products, advertisers need tools to manage those products, identify errors, and build campaigns based on subsets of products.
• Product Enhancement - Leveraging AI, LLMs and Reddit organic data to make our products more appealing to users by showcasing products popular with Redditors, enhancing product image backgrounds with GenAI, and much more!

Onze missie is om gezondheid en geluk te brengen aan honden en baasjes over de hele wereld. Bij Butternut Box geloven we dat honden het beste verdienen. Daarom maken wij vers, lekker en gezond hondenvoer.

Butternut Box is een nieuw soort hondenvoer: vers. 📣  Over de rol

We zoeken een Customer Love medewerker met uitstekende communicatieve vaardigheden die al onze baasjes (& honden!) een blij gevoel kan bezorgen.

Deze functie is beschikbaar voor 39 uur (1 FTE). Je werkt hybride: minimaal 1 dag per week op kantoor in Amsterdam (op de woensdag). Je mag je hond uiteraard meenemen!

Praktisch:

• Werkdagen: 5 dagen in de week tussen maandag en zaterdag, incl. feestdagen. De zaterdagen en feestdagen zijn op rotatiebasis.
• Ons Customer Love team is momenteel bereikbaar van 9:00–17:30 (ma–za). Dit kan in de toekomst uitgebreid worden naar zondag of avonden – we hopen op je flexibiliteit.

In ons semi-geautomatiseerde Fulfilment Center, waar dagelijks 500 collega’s actief zijn, zorg jij ervoor dat alles op HR-gebied soepel verloopt. Je pakt complexe vraagstukken met beide handen aan en draagt bij aan een positieve werkcultuur, waarmee je de snelle groei van Picnic ondersteunt. Je maakt deel uit van een jong, ambitieus HR-team en werkt nauw samen met Operations, Recruitment en Learning & Development om strategische doelen af te stemmen op de behoeften van onze medewerkers. project44 is looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our engineering team. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment designing, building, and implementing best-in-class integrations to accelerate how project44 connects to the world’s logistics networks.  

 Key accountabilities: What you'll work on  

• Develop and enhance state-of-the-art features that power our global logistics platform across Ocean, Rail, Road, and Air modes. 
• Design and maintain internal libraries and extensions that enable other engineering teams to efficiently leverage our platform. 
• Collaborate with customers, product managers, and internal engineering teams to translate requirements into a scalable, unified platform architecture. 
• Build and operate systems in a multi-cloud environment — primarily AWS and GCP, though experience with Azure or other providers is valued. 
• Partner cross-functionally to tackle complex technical challenges and drive cohesive platform solutions. 
• Own the full software lifecycle — from design and development to testing, deployment, and operations. 
• Participate in on-call rotations for the services your team builds and owns, ensuring reliability and responsiveness. 
• Continuously improve our engineering processes through better tooling, automation, and monitoring to enhance the on-call experience and system resilience. 
• Personal drive and maintaining a high pace - while taking responsibility for things working.

 Qualifications:  

• 6+ years of professional experience building large-scale, real-time or near–real-time cloud systems. 
• Strong programming and debugging skills, with proficiency in Java or similar object-oriented languages (e.g., Kotlin, C#, Scala). 
• Hands-on experience designing and developing distributed systems and RESTful or event-driven APIs. 
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or GCP, and related infrastructure services. 
• Understanding of data streaming, message queues, or asynchronous processing (e.g., Kafka, Pub/Sub, SQS). 
• Proficiency with relational and/or NoSQL databases, and comfort writing performant queries. 
• Solid grasp of software engineering best practices, including testing, CI/CD, and observability. 
• Strong communication and collaboration skills in a cross-functional, Agile environment.

Wat ga je doen?

Als stagiair Public Affairs werk je mee aan diverse projecten en ondersteun je onze adviseurs. Je maakt kennis met veel aspecten van het werk binnen een public affairs kantoor en krijgt een uniek kijkje achter de schermen van de politieke arena. Je leert hoe organisaties hun belangen behartigen richting politiek, overheid en media. Kortom: een veelzijdige stage op het raakvlak van politiek, bestuur, media en bedrijfsleven.

Je werkzaamheden bestaan onder andere uit:

• Monitoren van nieuws en politiek:dagelijks kranten, vakbladen en opinietijdschriften scannen op relevant nieuws voor onze klanten.
• Volgen van parlementaire agenda’s:bijhouden van vergaderingen en debatten in de Tweede en Eerste Kamer, relevante Kamerstukken signaleren en samenvatten.
• Verslaglegging: live en achteraf rapporteren over politieke debatten en griffieverslagen verzamelen.
• Research en analyse: informatie verzamelen via databanken en analyses maken voor onze adviseurs.
• Stakeholdermapping: relevante politieke en ambtelijke contacten in kaart brengen en up-to-date houden.
• Ondersteuning bij diverse klantprojecten: bijdragen aan presentaties, pitches en strategische adviezen.

Wie ben jij?

• Je volgt een HBO- of universitaire opleiding, bijvoorbeeld Politicologie, Bestuurskunde, Geschiedenis, Europese Studies of Internationale Betrekkingen (en staat ingeschreven tijdens de stageperiode).
• Je hebt een grote interesse in en kennis van de Nederlandse politiek en maatschappelijke vraagstukken.
• Je bent proactief, nieuwsgierig en analytisch sterk.
• Je kunt complexe informatie helder analyseren en samenvatten en hebt een vlotte pen.
• Je beheerst de Nederlands en Engels taal, zowel mondeling als schriftelijk.
• Je kunt goed omgaan met deadlines en werkt nauwkeurig, ook onder druk.
• Je bent minimaal vier dagen per week beschikbaar in de periode van 1 februari tot en met 30 juni.

Stagevergoeding

De stagiair ontvangt een maandelijkse stagevergoeding van € 650,-, gebaseerd op een volledige werkweek.
