The Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and highly autonomous Senior Automation & Integration Engineer to serve as a versatile technical architect across the organization. In this hands-on role, you will act as the “Automation Engine,” directly impacting company efficiency and scalability by orchestrating end-to-end technical solutions. You will be responsible for connecting, transforming, and managing data flows across our entire systems stack through AI-driven automation.

The Work You'll Do:
- Design and Build: Develop and implement robust, scalable AI automation workflows using Make as the primary integration platform to connect core business systems, with particular focus on Workday as our primary ERP.
- Orchestrate and Integrate: Take full ownership of technical solutions, managing data flows, transformations, and database manipulation to ensure seamless integration between tools — including Workday Finance and Workday HCM
- Innovate with AI: Proactively explore, evaluate, and implement AI applications (both within and outside of Make) to boost our solutions and drive operational efficiency.
- Collaborate and Engage: Partner with stakeholders across Legal, Finance, HR/P&C,IT and other departments to identify opportunities for automation and process improvement, acting as the technical bridge between business needs and systems capability.
- Experiment and Secure: Champion experimentation by testing new technologies while balancing innovation with a mindful approach to security, data integrity, and scalability — especially when handling sensitive financial and people data in Workday.
- Govern and Document: Contribute to the development and maintenance of documentation for automation workflows and integrations. Support the implementation of governance frameworks, including Workday integration standards and change management practices.
- Proactive Problem-Solving: Independently diagnose complex, cross-system issues. Identify architectural gaps and risks across end-to-end process flows. Propose creative solutions with trade-off analysis, and align recommendations to the team mission of enabling scalable, reliable, and compliant operations.
- Mentor and Enable: Mentor junior colleagues. Share domain knowledge through training, documentation, and team rituals. Contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
The Qualifications You'll Need:
- Deep Automation Expertise: 4+ years building production-grade automation workflows with Make (preferred), n8n, Zapier, or Power Automate. You design multi-step integrations with proper error handling, retries, and auditability — and you write scripts (Python and/or JavaScript) when no-code isn't enough. You understand API-based integrations, data modelling, and how to build systems that hold up at scale.
- Workday Integration Experience: Solid hands-on experience across Workday Finance and/or HCM — not just configuration, but a real understanding of the underlying data models and how Finance and P&C teams rely on Workday as their system of record. Practical experience building or maintaining integrations using EIBs, Workday Studio, Core Connectors, PECI/PICOF, or the Workday REST/SOAP APIs.
- Practical AI Application: Demonstrable experience designing and deploying AI-powered workflows, including LLM-based agents, to solve real business problems. You can evaluate AI tools critically, build structured POCs, and write clear assessment summaries — you bring pragmatism, not hype.
- “Get it Done” Mindset: A proactive, self-motivated approach with a bias for action. You thrive in fast-paced environments where requirements might change.

The Team:
Join the Celonis Support Services team, part of a 3-Level Support model, as a dedicated 2nd Level Technical Support Engineer. You will be located in Madrid and report directly to the Director of Customer Support.
The Role:
As a Technical Support Engineer at Celonis, you are at the forefront of the intersection between enterprise-grade software and generative AI. Celonis enables global enterprises to realize the full value of AI, and we lead by example - integrating advanced AI tooling into our internal ecosystems to redefine the support experience.
We provide technical support across the full Celonis technical stack from infrastructure, front-end services through to automation and AI products. In this role, you won’t just be diagnosing and restoring complex technical issues, you will be an AI SME responsible for architecting the future of technical support.
The work you’ll do:
Your responsibilities are focused on expert technical analysis, resolution of complex incidents, and driving continuous improvement in support operations:
- Provide 2nd Level technical support for customer issues across Celonis technical stack & products,
- As a core function, perform analysis, diagnosis, and recovery of complex technical issues, often requiring direct engagement with customers and internal Product and Engineering teams.
- AI Workflow Automation and Modeling that will assist with trouble-shooting in reduce MTTR
- AI SME & Strategy - serve as the Subject Matter Expert for AI in Support, taking ownership of training models and providing feedback loops to improve quality.
- Drive Knowledge Centred Service and Continual Service Improvement initiatives leveraging AI tooling with a strong focus on AI driven solution
- Participate in a day-time hours on-call schedule to ensure continuous global coverage.
The qualifications you need:
- Education: Bachelor of Computer Science, Engineering, or a related degree in the field of IT.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years of proven Technical Support experience handling complex technical issues and international customer inquiries whilst adhering to Service Level Agreements.
- Cloud Technologies: AWS or Azure certification and/or working experience in a mid to large sized Kubernetes / containerised environment.
- Demonstrated prompt engineering skills for optimizing AI outputs.
- Experienced in troubleshooting AI products, including hallucinations, reasoning issues, misbehavior and building AI Automations and Modeling
- Systems Administration: Proven experience with heterogeneous Linux/Unix systems.
- Coding Skills: Proficient in at least one programming language (e.g., Java) or a scripting language (e.g., Python).
- Databases: Experience with major database systems (e.g., SAP HANA, Oracle, MS SQL Server).

The work you’ll do:
- Work as part of the Global VE CoE to support the Japan Value Engineering team on customer engagements
- Collaborate with customers to uncover their core business challenges and determine how Celonis Process Intelligence can help them achieve their business objectives and AI Strategy
- Execute proof projects showcasing the value of Celonis Process Intelligence, frame a quantitative business value and deliver presentations to senior executives to drive investment decisions
- Prototype and develop AI solutions tailored to customer needs, including both traditional machine learning, LLM-based solutions and orchestration technology
- Drive change management and value realisation and ensure a positive return on investment
- Build strong relationships with our customers by winning their trust through technical, product expertise, and business acumen to act as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate and share customer insights & feedback with internal Product and Engineering teams to influence and co-develop (AI) product innovations
- Create re-usable collateral, best practices & tools within the Global VE Center of Excellence and feed them back to the regional Value Engineering team
- Travel to the Japan region to meet clients in person to ensure the success of customer engagements
The qualifications you need:

- Take ownership of complex cases - accepting, qualifying, driving, and resolving them according to ITSM processes and KPI adherence.

The Role
As a (Staff/-/Senior) Full Stack Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality, scalable software solutions across the stack. You’ll contribute to both frontend and backend systems, ensuring seamless integration, performance, and reliability. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable, high-quality software solutions across the frontend and backend.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical implementations.
- Ensure system reliability, security, and performance through thoughtful design and testing.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices and coding standards.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, knowledge sharing, and adherence to architectural guidelines.

Qualifications
- 5+ years of professional experience developing and maintaining full-stack applications.

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.
- Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Understanding of cloud environments and deployment tools (e.g., AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD pipelines).
- Proven ability to write well-tested, maintainable, and scalable code.
