THE OPPORTUNITY

Silvus is seeking a Contracts Coordinator who will report to the Director of Legal. The successful individual in this role will be responsible for providing administrative and clerical support to the legal and contracts department. This will involve reviewing contracts, managing deadlines, document processing, and preparation to ensure compliance with all laws, regulations, and ethical obligations. Other responsibilities will include general clerical assistance and independently handling special projects to improve policies and procedures of the Legal and Compliance department.

• Advise the Sales Administration team regarding legal certifications, customer forms, and information requests.
• Draft and revise written policies and procedures based on instructions from the Director of Legal and the Contracts Manager.
• Work on Independent legal-related projects, such as identifying and retaining vendors to implement legal requirements, reviewing and executing requirements for joining the consortium, and sourcing and obtaining insurance policies.
• Maintain compliance, facility security, and training calendars.

The Manufacturing Test Engineer position reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager within the Software Engineering team.  The successful individual in this role will own production automated test infrastructure for StreamCaster wireless systems—designing, implementing, maintaining, and optimizing test stations and logging/analysis tools to ensure full feature coverage and reliable performance. They will also partner closely with RF, systems, software, and quality engineering teams to establish thresholds, validate new tests, enable feature rollouts, and support resolution of production line issues through effective troubleshooting and root cause analysis.

 REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• MS. or Ph.D. in the field of wireless communications and signal processing.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in the design and development of wireless systems.
• Participation in the complete wireless technology development cycle: from design to field testing.
• Extensive knowledge and experience about RF propagation, channel modeling, and all parts of digital communication systems (e.g. RF subsystems, synchronizations, channel estimation, channel coding, etc.)
• Extensive knowledge about signal processing algorithms, MIMO, OFDM.
• Expertise in modeling and mitigating RF impairments to signals such as AGC, phase noise, frequency/clock offset, etc.
• Experiences with fixed point modeling, implementation, and verification.
• Expert in MATLAB programming and simulation.

 PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Wireless mobile ad-hoc networking, medium access, and routing algorithms.

THE OPPORTUNITY

The Software Quality Assurance Engineer position reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager within the Software Engineering team.  The successful individual in this role will drive customer success by developing robust automated test fixtures for StreamCaster radios that achieve comprehensive feature and code coverage, rigorously exercise product interfaces and functionality to validate proper function and graceful failure handling, and collaborate closely with development teams to promote high software quality standards throughout the product lifecycle.

This position is 100% onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles, CA.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Design and implement automated test plans evaluating reliability and performance of StreamCaster interfaces and features.
• Contribute to the design, implementation, and maintenance of test stations.
• Partner with developers to validate automated test and fixture designs.
• Create tickets to record detected product defects and regressions.
• Create regression tests from previously reported defects.
• Triage defect reports and collaborate with engineers on their resolution.
• Adhere and contribute to upholding software usability and quality standards.
• Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.
• Travel Requirements – rare local travel, as required by Silvus.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or other related technical field.
• Strong foundational skills in software development with Python, C/C++, or related languages.
• Experience developing in one or more of Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, or Bare metal environments.
• Demonstrated understanding of software testing practices (unit, integration, system testing) gained through academic projects, internships, or personal work.
• Fundamental understanding of computer networking concepts.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts.

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

• Demonstrated experience with test and analysis tools like Selenium, Pytest, Wireshark, and TCPDump.

• Skilled in the use of containerization and deployment tools like Docker or Nginx.
• Familiarity and exposure to web browser tools for inspecting network requests or aiding Selenium development.
• Trained in and understanding of Agile methodologies and Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices.
• Acquainted with mesh networking.
• Experience with electrical or RF instrumentation and design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

The Software Test Engineer position reports to the Software Quality Assurance Manager within the Software Engineering team.  The successful individual in this role will help accelerate software quality by carrying out manual regression tests and driving exploratory and ad-hoc testing across StreamCaster products. This role works hand-in-hand with engineers to debug issues, triage defects, resolve reports, and build scripts to facilitate testing of features like PTT and network performance. Engineers will also champion the documentation of design requirements and decisions.
