PhysicsX is developing a platform used by Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers to build, train, and deploy Deep Physics Models. The core of this platform relies on handling massive volumes of complex simulation data, enabling high-fidelity multi-physics simulation through AI inference.
We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer to join our product team. You will be one of a small team of Front-end Engineers, collaborating in a cross-functional team with autonomy to drive implementation decisions. You will build and evolve the frontend that brings our platform to life — from rich 3D visualisations of simulation data to seamless API integrations powering complex ML workflows. You will design composable frontend architectures, optimise performance for data-heavy interfaces, and ensure our engineers and scientists can interact intuitively with massive datasets and simulation results.
As a senior engineer, you will also play a key role in shaping technical direction — authoring Technical Decision Records, mentoring less experienced engineers, and driving the standards that keep our platform reliable, secure, and performant. This is a role for a builder who loves crafting exceptional user experiences as much as they love designing robust frontend architectures.

PhysicsX is building a platform that enables Data Scientists and Simulation Engineers to build, train, and deploy Deep Physics Models. The platform handles massive volumes of complex simulation data and enables high-fidelity multi-physics simulation through AI inference.
We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong background in building data platforms. You won't just be moving data from A to B - you'll be architecting and building the distributed systems, services, and APIs that form the backbone of our platform. You'll bridge the gap between complex physical simulations and modern data infrastructure, implementing storage solutions for AI/ML pipelines and creating the analytical layers that allow our engineers to visualise and understand their results.
As a senior engineer, you'll shape technical direction by authoring Technical Decision Records, mentoring less experienced engineers, and driving the standards that keep our platform reliable, secure, and performant. This role is for builders who love coding robust software as much as designing efficient data architectures.

You are a problem solver and builder, passionate about creating practical solutions that help customers make better engineering decisions. You can grasp and apply advanced engineering concepts across multiple industries, and you excel at working directly with customers, often on-site, to develop high-fidelity simulation models that feed into AI tools that are both useful and used.
You bring deep expertise in fluid mechanics, heat transfer, and multiphase modelling, including particle-laden flows, fluidised beds, and coupled CFD-DEM. You are highly proficient in at least one of Star-CCM+, OpenFOAM, or Fluent, and experienced with DEM codes such as EDEM, LIGGGHTS, or Rocky. You are adept at automating these tools to create scalable optimisation workflows. Experience in parametric CAD modelling (NX or CATIA) and coding in Python (or the ability to pick up new programming languages quickly) is an advantage.
With 3–5 years of industry experience (post-MEng, MSc, or PhD) in a commercial, non-research environment, you are ready to hit the ground running. You are confident setting up simulations independently, interpreting complex results with rigour, and making sound decisions grounded in solid engineering judgement.

At Sixfold, we're building the AI platform that transforms how insurers evaluate and price risk. Not just another tool that generates summaries or flags issues — we're creating AI agents that actually understand risk the way veteran underwriters do. Our platform is processing billions in premium for some of the world's largest carriers, and we're just getting started.
The technical challenges are extraordinary. We're teaching AI to understand that a fish and chip shop in Cornwall faces different risks than one in central London. To know when a manufacturing company's pivot from automotive parts to pharmaceutical equipment fundamentally changes their risk profile. To make million-pound decisions with the same intuition as someone who's been underwriting for 20 years.
What makes Sixfold special isn't just the technology — it's that we're building it with people who deeply understand insurance. Our team includes folks who've built and scaled carriers, researchers who've pushed the boundaries of AI, and engineers who just love solving seemingly impossible problems.
We're still early, but the impact is already real. If you want to build AI that matters — that affects real businesses, real people, and billions in economic activity — Sixfold is where you should be. We're not just digitising insurance. We're reimagining what it can be.
We foster an environment that welcomes professionals with a diversity of backgrounds and ideas. We value passionate professionals who bring creativity, determination, and a commitment to our mission. At Sixfold, every team member plays a crucial role, with opportunities to make meaningful and visible contributions to our success.
We believe in empowering our employees through continuous growth, learning, and a proactive problem-solving approach. Our comprehensive compensation package includes competitive salaries, equity opportunities, and a robust benefits package, all within a supportive and inclusive workplace culture. If you're driven to make a significant impact alongside exceptional colleagues, we want to hear from you.
We are committed to equal opportunities and welcome applications from candidates of all backgrounds. Sixfold is committed to making reasonable adjustments for qualified individuals with disabilities throughout our recruitment process.
Sixfold does not accept unsolicited agency CVs and is not responsible for any fees related to unsolicited CVs.

We have a vibrant, enthusiastic, passionate and creative culture driven by trust, excellence and continuous improvement. If you join the Terra Quantum team, you can expect:
If you are enthusiastic about positively impacting the world and helping to drive the second quantum revolution, let’s talk!
Company description
Quantum technologies have the potential to solve some of the world’s biggest challenges. There have been great advances in all areas of quantum technologies, and new fields of application are opened up every day. Hybrid computer systems that combine classic high-performance computing with quantum computers are already being used to develop solutions in sectors such as logistics, healthcare, finance, energy, automotive and aerospace. Quantum mechanical predictions are also used to obtain unprecedented precision in measurements, generate unbreakable codes, and form the basis of impenetrable communication networks. All these developments are happening right now, and they are happening at Terra Quantum.
At Terra Quantum we are building the world’s leading Quantum Technology company. We offer customers world-class quantum technology expertise organized as “quantum-as-a-service”: hybrid quantum algorithms, quantum compute and quantum enabled security solutions. Through the proprietary quantum cloud, customers have access to a unique technology platform which provides a toolset to solve real-world challenges in the realms of machine learning, optimization and simulation, today. In 2022, the company closed its Series A financing round with a $75m fundraise.
Quantum physics has, in some respects, parallels to the machine language of our computers-the zeros and ones into which our keyboard or touchscreen instructions are translated for execution in the computer-only on a larger scale: it is the machine language of the universe. The second quantum revolution is based on the control of individual quantum systems, such as individual atoms. We use quantum computers to solve currently unsolvable problems, simulate molecules and their interactions, find drugs for diseases that are not yet curable, find new materials, or make artificial intelligence stronger. Quantum is now.
Terra Quantum is a future-focused quantum services and technology company working on making the second quantum revolution a reality. Terra Quantum’s activities span all areas, markets, and industries globally.
Terra Quantum is an equal opportunities employer, committed to diversity, inclusion and employee well-being.
