Overview

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our Core Experiences Team. This team builds and maintains the foundational services and SDKs that power Speechify’s product experience across platforms. It's a critical role for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of product and infrastructure, thinks strategically, and is passionate about designing clear, reliable APIs and simple systems that directly enhance the user experience.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with Speechify’s Product Teams to scope projects, find ways to reduce scope to get faster feedback from customers, navigate the integration/UX tradeoffs relevant to different product teams, and deliver solutions via our cross-platform SDK
• Optimize existing functionality to ship things like faster loading and more intelligent parsing by designing more efficient abstractions and improving our algorithms
• Ship cloud functions, lightweight backend services, and jobs using Kotlin

Overview

The responsibilities of our Platform team include building and maintaining all backend services, including, but not limited to, payments, analytics, subscriptions, new products, text to speech, and external APIs.

This is a key role and ideal for someone who thinks strategically, enjoys fast-paced environments, is passionate about making product decisions, and has experience building great user experiences that delight users.

Our interview process involves several technical interviews and we aim to complete them within 1 week. 

What You’ll Do

• Design, develop, and maintain robust APIs including public TTS API, internal APIs like Payment, Subscription, Auth and Consumption Tracking, ensuring they meet business and scalability requirements
• Oversee the full backend API landscape, enhancing and optimizing for performance and maintainability
• Collaborate on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration needs for enterprise clients
• Work closely with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with overall product strategy and user experience

An Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Proven experience in backend development: TS/Node (required)
• Direct experience with GCP and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers
• Efficiency in ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks based on urgency and impact
• Preferred: Experience with Docker and containerized deployments
• Preferred: Proficiency in deploying high availability applications on Kubernetes

What You will do (Responsibilities) :

• Lead end-to-end ML development across BRKZ. Build and deploy production models, LLM agents, and data-driven workflows that improve accuracy and cut manual work across Finance, Credit, Procurement, and Operations.
• Scope problems with Product and Ops, size impact, and turn workflows into measurable gains.
• Cover full-stack ML engineering and applied data science: data analysis, feature engineering, modelling, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Own model lifecycle, reliability, and PDPL compliance. 
• Guide standards for data quality and ML practices. Mentor ML and AI engineers.

Who You are (Qualifications) : 

* Expert Python and ML engineering.

* 5 to 8 years in ML engineering or applied AI with delivery in production environments
* Strong with LLMs, embeddings, RAG, and classical ML models.
* Skilled in data analysis, feature engineering, and evaluation.
* Experience building and scaling pipelines.
* Strong cloud deployment background.
* Able to quantify business impact and guide decisions.

What you'll do

• Work closely with other engineers on the team to build highly scalable and robust backend applications and services.
• Write high quality, performant and reliable code while working on defined tasks/bugs independently.
• Work independently to understand functional specifications and deliver complete features.
• Participate in the on-call rotation and be willing to jump in and help resolve any incidents within the defined SLA.
• Participate in team agile and engineering practices and contribute to their continuous evolution.

What you'll need

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field.
• Working experience with at least one modern object-oriented programming language:  Java OR Golang
• Working knowledge of Computer Science fundamentals including: object-oriented design, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience operating online systems reliably including deploying changes to production in live systems.

Preferred skills & qualifications

• Master's Degree in Computer Science or other related technical field.
• Experience with Java Spring, Golang and Cloud platforms such as Azure, Google Cloud Platform and AWS.
• Experience working with container technology including Docker and Kubernetes.
• Experience working with relational and non-relational database systems.
• Experience applying professional software engineering best practices, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.

As an integral member of our dynamic team, the IT Support Engineer holds the pivotal responsibility of championing end-user satisfaction through adept IT support. Tasked with monitoring and maintaining our company's computer systems, the IT Support Engineer performs hardware and software installations and elevates our technological prowess by tackling logical, analytical, and technical challenges independently and through collaborative efforts with internal teams and valued vendor partnerships.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and customer-focused IT Support Engineer who can deliver high-quality technical support across endpoint systems, SaaS applications, and core IT services. This role requires hands-on experience with MacOS, Windows, and Linux environments, strong troubleshooting abilities, and the capability to support users both onsite and remotely. The ideal candidate will also have exposure to modern IT operations, including MDM platforms, ticketing systems, cloud productivity tools, and emerging AI-driven support workflows

What You’ll Do

• Provide end-to-end IT support across MacOS, Windows, and Linux environments, including mass OS installations, upgrades, and configurations
• Manage employee onboarding and offboarding (onsite and remote), covering device provisioning and MDM enrolment
• Provide IT Support for MDM platforms such as Kandji and Microsoft Intune 
• Hands-on MacOS support and advanced troubleshooting for Windows OS issues
• Support enterprise SaaS tools including Google Workspace (G Suite), Okta, Salesforce, and collaboration platforms
• Provide onsite support for office users and remote support via Jira tickets, email, and Slack
• Maintain accurate IT asset inventory and device lifecycle records
• Assist with basic network and infrastructure troubleshooting and maintain awareness of next-generation firewalls
• Basic understanding of current AI trends and how AI can assist in IT support ticket management

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 1–6 years of IT support experience in a corporate or fast-paced environment
• Strong working knowledge of MacOS and Windows, with basic Linux familiarity
• Hands-on experience with MDM solutions (Kandji, Microsoft Intune, or similar)
• Solid understanding of ticketing systems such as Jira Service Management
• Practical experience supporting GWS, SSO, CRM, VoIP and other SaaS applications
• Good foundational knowledge of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPNs) and general infrastructure
• Awareness of modern IT security concepts and tools, including next-generation firewalls
• Understanding of how AI and automation are applied in IT support workflows
• Strong communication and customer-handling skills with a problem-solving mindset
• Flexibility to work varying hours or shifts when required
• Relevant certifications (CCNA, Microsoft 365, etc.) and call-center IT support experience are a plus
