Cloud Infrastructure at DKatalis:

The Cloud Infrastructure Team at Dakalis is a cross cutting engineering team with a mission to grow, support and deliver an agile, secure and scalable cloud infrastructure that powers Bank Jago’s digital banking platform.

Embracing and adopting modern Cloud Native and Infrastructure as Code as fore front practices, scale up the management and simplification of a complex cloud infrastructure with the goal of scaling a platform that is experiencing rapid growth in the millions of transactions and customers.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Possess deep knowledge and understanding of Kubernetes and Cloud infrastructure platforms such as GCP and AWS
• 5+ years of experience managing technical projects within infrastructure and cloud domains.
• Experience automating infrastructure provisioning, using continuous integration/delivery tools
• Experience in application containerization and deploying container orchestration technologies such as Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).
• Ability to balance doing things right with fixing things quickly. Flexible and pragmatic, while working towards improving the long-term health of the system.
• You have a strong systems experience and have an analytical approach to identifying problem components based on data points. 
• Be passionate about security compliance, zero downtime infrastructure and highly scalable environments
• Be willing to coach, mentor and grow a team of talented cloud infrastructure engineers
• Have good communication skills and be comfortable working with product owners and domain experts to understand requirements
• Oversee end-to-end Platform architecture and roadmap focused on best-practice approaches to design, security, testing, and performance
• Comfortable working cross-functionally to ensure success of the infrastructure and operations. You will be closely collaborating with other engineering and product teams to ensure that expected system behavior is understood and monitoring exists to detect anomalies.
• Lead in-depth technical and data analysis to gauge service trends and drive improvements.
• You are comfortable with on-call responsibility and are able to manage a crisis working with the broader team, communicating progress and challenges during the crisis.
• Participate in continuous improvement and execution of quality and timely major incident root cause analysis and blameless post-mortem activities to ensure we take action to avoid similar problems in the future.

Requirements:

• You are either a Sysadmin or Infrastructure engineer ideally strong in Linux systems, networking, monitoring and automation; preferably have experience working on distributed systems at scale.
• At least 5 years of hands-on-experience in architecting, designing, developing and implementing cloud solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCE, GKE, GAE, GCS, Cloud SQL, VPC, Resource Manager, StackDriver, Cloud CDN, Cloud IAM)
• Scripting - Terraform, Bash, Shell, Python (bonus)
• Configuration Management - Chef, Puppet, Ansible etc
• Experience with - Docker, Kubernetes, Gitlab, ELK
• Exposure to relational, no-sql databases and caching solutions - Mongodb, Redis
• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Capable of working in a complex, fast paced environment and ability to maintain calm during stressful situations

About The Role

We are hiring a Mid-level Software Engineer to join our Blockchain Engineering team at StraitsX. The team is responsible for building and scaling the backend infrastructure that powers our stablecoin operations across Ethereum, Solana, Avalanche, Hedera, XRP Ledger, Polygon, and other networks. This role is suited for engineers who can independently deliver production-ready systems and contribute to improving system reliability, scalability, and engineering practices.

What You Will Do

• Design, build, and maintain Go-based microservices (Fiber v2, GORM, Asynq) in a production environment
• Develop scalable APIs and background workers for payments, wallet custody, and blockchain event processing
• Integrate and maintain connections with multiple blockchain networks using Go SDKs
• Write high-quality, well-tested, and maintainable code
• Optimize performance and reliability using Postgres and Redis (caching, distributed locks, task queues)
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues using observability tools such as Datadog
• Actively participate in code reviews, on-call rotations, and incident response
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes (GitHub Actions, Docker, Kubernetes)
• Contribute to or review Solidity smart contracts when needed

What We Are Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 2–4 years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong proficiency in at least one backend programming language (Go preferred)
• Solid experience with SQL and relational databases (e.g., Postgres)
• Good understanding of RESTful APIs and distributed system fundamentals
• Experience working with Git in a collaborative environment
• Demonstrated ability to debug and troubleshoot production issues
• Interest in blockchain and distributed systems
• Hands-on experience building and operating production systems in Go is a plus
• Working knowledge of blockchain concepts (transactions, wallets, smart contracts, consensus mechanisms) is a plus

About the Role

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) team architects, builds, and maintains the rock-solid infrastructure that applications rely on. We work closely with development teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and efficiency. This collaboration empowers us to deliver exceptional customer experiences while enabling developers to focus on building great features.

What You Will Do

• Deploy, automate, maintain, and manage various cloud-based and on-premises production systems.
• Understanding the high-level overview of our architecture, and possessing the ability to systematically document new and existing requirements to ensure a smooth project delivery without miscommunication.
• Work closely with the Information security and infrastructure team in ensuring that we are adopting security best practices.
• Ensuring the availability, performance, scalability, and security of productions systems.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues across platform and application domains.
• Suggest architectural improvements and recommend process optimizations.
• Evaluate new technologies to enhance the infrastructure stack.
• Ensuring system security policies are properly remediated.
• Drive and implement automated provisioning and scaling of servers, along with testing and compliance checks using automation tools.
• Handle operational tasks, including on-call duties, alerts, and incident management.

What We Are Looking For

• At least 2 years of engineering experience.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT, Computer Science) or a proven track record in DevOps.
• A strong willingness to continuously upgrade skills and stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps trends.
• Experience with cloud-native tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker, Nginx, OpenTelemetry) is a plus.
• Experience managing cloud servers (AWS, GCP).
• A desire to transition into engineering management is a valued addition.
• Experience with on-premises physical servers, databases, and storage solutions (MySQL, PostgreSQL, Redis) is a plus, as well as familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, Pulumi).
