What We’re Looking for (Minimum Qualifications)
5+ years of proven experience in backend development with a focus on building robust, tech-driven solutions
Experience designing and developing microservices architecture using tools such as AWS, Kubernetes, RabbitMQ, SQS, and Tilt
Technical proficiency in Java and Spring Boot
Strong communication skills and a demonstrated ability to solve complex problems in a dynamic environment

We’re looking for an L2 IT Technician with Project Management experience to support and maintain large-scale GPU clusters in a data center environment. We are seeking an experienced IT Hardware Support Engineer with a focus on IT Projects and relevant activities. This role aims to provide not only support in troubleshooting of high-performance server hardware, including GPU clusters, but also implementations of additional infrastructure components on production sites.
Apart from being involved in resolution of complex hardware incidents, proactive handling of L1/L2 support via the ticketing system, you will work in collaboration with the Technical Project Manager. This role expects from candidates to have advanced technical experience in pair with some project management experience allowing to move the projects further, identify specific risks, participate in implementation with support of 3rd parties.

This is not a supporting role; it is core infrastructure where a single decision can affect the security and availability of Vonage's entire product suite. As a Software Engineer joining a team of 6 senior engineers, you will take end-to-end ownership of mission-critical microservices, contribute to the modernization of the VCC identity platform, and help shape the technical direction of a fast-moving, security-first team — with real impact visible at scale from day one.
Design, develop, and maintain authentication and authorization microservices (backend-heavy, full-stack) serving the VBC and VCC platforms
Take full ownership of features end-to-end — from requirement kick-off and solution design through implementation, code review, testing, production deployment, and post-deploy monitoring
Participate actively in Agile ceremonies — daily stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and design discussions — contributing concrete technical insights and surfacing risks early

You'll work at the intersection of backend engineering and infrastructure, shaping architecture in Ruby on Rails and Go, guiding decisions around role-based access control (RBAC), GraphQL APIs, and Kubernetes deployment configuration. In your first year, you'll help move Secrets Manager toward general availability, establish technical patterns the team can build on, and represent the team's point of view in cross-functional discussions. The Pipeline Security team builds features that make GitLab CI pipelines more secure and trustworthy for teams running sensitive workloads. We own key parts of pipeline security within GitLab's CI/CD experience, with our current focus on native secrets management for CI pipelines and Supply-chain Levels for Software Artifacts (SLSA) Level 3 capabilities to strengthen software supply chain security. We work asynchronously across regions and collaborate closely with Product and security partners, using clear design discussions, documented decisions, and iterative delivery across Ruby on Rails and Go.
The base salary range for this role’s listed level is currently for residents of the United States only. This range is intended to reflect the role's base salary rate in locations throughout the US. Grade level and salary ranges are determined through interviews and a review of education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant, equity with other team members, alignment with market data, and geographic location.
