MongoDB is looking for an outstanding person to join our newly created Forward Deployed Engineering team and take on a key role in our extended R&D organization. Forward Deployed Engineering is linking the work of teams engaged on application modernization roles with our Product and Engineering teams.
Many organizations have built up large estates of legacy applications. Lack of scalability and resilience, long development times, operating cost, and inability to run on cloud are common issues with these applications. To address these issues, organizations are engaging in large transformational Application Modernisation programs. MongoDB is recognized as the developer data platform of choice for transactional systems that provide the best scalability, resiliency and developer experience in the cloud as well as on premises. Organizations are continuously migrating workloads from these legacy applications to new platforms, often based on microservices, using MongoDB.
Such transformations are time intensive and often risky. Tooling based on generative AI promises to accelerate these transformations in a way never seen before. Forward Deployed Engineering is responsible for exploring the possibilities of Generative AI technologies and providing invaluable feedback to MongoDB’s R&D teams to drive future capabilities of MongoDB and the MongoDB ecosystem.
Application Modernization Engineers will work alongside project teams that are executing Application Modernisation projects with customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for evaluation, build, and applying tools in modernization projects, facilitating the usage of such tools and processes across the different project teams, identifying opportunities for tooling deployment, selecting potential 3rd party tools, contributing to the development of tooling prototypes and helping to shape the product roadmap.
This role can be based out of our Dublin office or remotely in Ireland.

As a Staff Backend Engineer (Python) on the Duo Chat team in AI Engineering, you'll lead the backend architecture that powers GitLab Duo Chat across the GitLab DevSecOps platform. You'll solve hard problems in building reliable, secure, and scalable AI-powered chat workflows so customers can plan, write, review, and secure code faster, with confidence. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll set direction for how we integrate and evolve large language model providers (including Google Vertex AI) across Ruby on Rails and Python services, raise the bar on observability and testing, and guide the team through ambiguous, high-impact technical decisions. The Duo Chat team sits within GitLab's AI Engineering organization and is responsible for building and evolving GitLab Duo Chat, the AI-powered chat experience embedded across the GitLab DevSecOps platform. You should be located in the UK, Ireland, or the Netherlands. You are free to choose working hours that suit you best, as long as there is an overlap with your team for most of the day.
Our stack primarily consists of Elixir + PostgreSQL on the backend and Phoenix on the frontend (with some pockets of React). We monitor performance using Sentry, and our platform is hosted on AWS, running on Docker containers defined in Terraform. Our platform is AI-native, and we make extensive use of LLMs in our application. Our code lives on GitHub — in fact, GitHub, Slack and Linear is where most of the collaboration happens. We practice using Loom to demo our work.

Summary/Overview:
KBRA Europe Limited is seeking a Director to join our growing Funds Ratings team in the Dublin office. The Funds team assigns and monitors credit ratings on various debt instruments issued by funds, and other fund vehicles. KBRA evaluates financing instruments that support fund operations, enhance liquidity, and optimize capital structures. These include subscription credit lines, which provide liquidity by bridging capital calls; NAV-based loans and credit facilities, which offer leverage against a fund’s portfolio assets; and feeder fund rated notes, which facilitate investment through debt instruments. KBRA’s growing ratings portfolio encompasses funds which leverage a variety of investment strategies including fixed income securities, private equity, private credit, direct lending, real estate, infrastructure and asset based financing. A strong candidate will have extensive experience and interest in fund investment and credit strategies and how funds operate, deploy capital, and generate cash flows.
