 What will be your responsibilities within IBKR: 

• Monitor the health of applications, networks, and systems underpinning the Interactive Brokers global brokerage system.

Overview

We are seeking a Principal Kubernetes Architect to serve as a senior technical authority for the design, evolution, and operation of InterSystems Kubernetes based cloud platforms. This role is responsible for defining reference architectures, establishing engineering standards, and solving the most complex platform challenges across hybrid and multi cloud environments.

As a Principal Architect, you will operate at both a strategic and hands on level. You will design large scale Kubernetes platforms, influence cloud and platform strategy, and mentor engineers across DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering, and platform teams. Key Responsibilities

Platform Architecture and Technical Leadership

• Act as a senior technical authority for Kubernetes architecture across managed services and SaaS platforms

Cloud, Hybrid & Data Protection

• Design Kubernetes solutions that operate consistently across public cloud and on premises environments
• Architect backup, restore, and disaster recovery strategies using tools such as Velero, Kasten, or Stash
• Address cloud specific constraints related to identity, networking, storage, and cost optimization

Mentorship & Cross Team Influence

• Mentor senior engineers and architects across platform, DevOps, and Site Reliability Engineering teams
• Act as a trusted advisor to application teams on cloud native and containerization strategies

Qualifications & Experience Required

• Ten to fifteen or more years of experience in infrastructure, cloud, platform engineering or Site Reliability Engineering roles with deep Kubernetes specialization

MongoDB Technical Services Engineers use their exceptional problem solving and customer service skills, along with their deep technical experience, to advise customers and to solve their complex MongoDB problems. Technical Service Engineers are experts in the entire MongoDB ecosystem - database server, drivers, cloud and infrastructure. This also includes services such as Atlas (database as a service), or Cloud Manager (which helps customers with automation, backup and monitoring of their MongoDB systems). We are hiring an experienced Security Software Engineer (Staff or Senior) for our Infrastructure Security team to design and build scalable security controls and services within MongoDB Atlas multi-cloud infrastructure.

The team sits within the Site Reliability Engineering organization and works with other engineering teams to ensure that our infrastructure adheres to the highest security standards.

Responsibilities:

• Design and build core security primitives and services that protect MongoDB Atlas compute, networking, and identity across AWS, Azure, and GCP
• Build secure-by-default infrastructure using Linux security mechanisms (AppArmor, SELinux, seccomp, cgroups), Kubernetes, and eBPF to enforce runtime policies and gain deep visibility into systems behaviour

The Team

MongoDB’s Storage Layer Services (SLS) team is re-architecting the MongoDB cloud storage layer and sits at the heart of our next-generation cloud storage architecture. This relatively new team is building performant, multi-tenant distributed storage services that both enhance today’s Atlas storage stack and enable more customer workloads to run more efficiently.

You will partner with the teams building these storage services to define SLOs, shape capacity plans, and ensure the reliability, durability, and operational safety of the storage layer that underpins Atlas. We are seeking a skilled and resilient Network Administrator to support EdgeConneX’ global enterprise infrastructure. This role is specifically designed for a networking professional who thrives in a mission-critical environment. You will be the primary point of contact for both local and remote sites' network health, focusing on our Cisco core, Building Management System (BMS) connectivity, and ensuring the absolute uptime required by our global customers.

Our Core Development team creates powerful trading tools, which facilitate the operation of a high-performance system, deployed in financial marketplaces around the world. Core Devs focus on the design and evolution of our low latency trading platform, internal messaging infrastructure, and connectivity to external trading destinations.

THE ROLE

Our trading platform runs on high performance servers distributed across data-centres and offices throughout the world. These servers are highly automated and finely tuned to meet the growing demands of our business. Our Systems Engineers are responsible for designing, building and supporting these servers, working with engineers across our global groups to ensure that our trading platform remains the best in the business.

We are looking to fill this role in our Dublin or London branch.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Analise, diagnose, and resolve of Linux based server issues.
• Create, test, deploy, and maintain packages, batch files, and scripts for the OS environment.
• Identify opportunities for optimisation in order to reduce latency and increase efficiency.
• Manage move, add, and change requests and configuration as needed.
• Liaise with internal technology groups and vendors as necessary to deliver optimum solutions.
• Assist in developing long-term infrastructure strategies and capacity planning to meet future platform infrastructure needs.

THE CANDIDATE

• 5+ years background in Linux/Unix administration.
• Kernel tuning experience.
• Strong understanding of networking and network topology.
• Knowledge of Kickstart, Ansible, Yum, Git, SVN.
• Understanding of NAS environments.
• Strong understanding of various protocols and services including NFS, DHCP, IP, TCP, UDP, TFTP and NTP.
• Strong scripting ability (Bash, Python etc).
• Experience with BIOS configuration.
• Analytical, innovative, problem solving and strategic thinker.
• Self-motivated and proactive; strong organisational and time management skills.
• Able to manage multiple streams of communication (i.e. email, chat room, and in person).
• Must have high tolerance for continually shifting priorities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate work with various teams and vendors in addition to daily production support activities.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Windows Kernel Developers develop and maintain a selected subset of the core kernel infrastructures, both in the SUSE enterprise products and upstream.

JOB SCOPE

The Kernel Developer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Developing, debugging and testing kernel level code using the C language
• Exercising/validation of system from user space, knowledge of user space API
• Supports the design, development, and maintenance of major system components
• Manages device driver development and support (one or more of USB, network, graphics, video, mtd, storage, power management)
• Design and maintenance of CI/CD
• Ported/maintain Linux distribution for a platform

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience in software development
• Proficient in Windows, Linux and/or Mac operating system
• Proficient in C programming
• Experienced in the following:
• Computer architecture and server platform hardware
• System software development in C and Python
• Internals of Linux, Mac and/or Windows operating systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Working knowledge of VMM technologies like VMware/Xen/KVM/Hyper-V Experience.
• Experience with memory management and Kernel programming.
• Knowledge about SR-IOV, SIOV, DMA and PCIe.
• Experience with virtualization and containerization (Python virtual environments and Docker)
• Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Crucible)
• Subversion exposure Familiarity with ARM architecture a plus
• Solid knowledge of Linux kernel internals (process scheduler, memory management, concurrency/synchronization, memory allocation, file systems) and networking or storage subsystems architecture
