Merchant Operations Associate – Complex Escalations, Part-time

About the Role
As a Merchant Operations Associate (part-time), you’ll handle more complex merchant cases escalated from Support and internal teams. These can include topics like ownership changes, contracts, payments, or offboarding. You’ll investigate each case, speak with merchants when needed, and make clear decisions that balance merchant experience with Wolt’s policies. You’ll also work closely with other teams to find the right solutions.
This role suits someone with a few years of experience who is confident handling complex issues and difficult conversations.
What you’ll be doing
- Handle and resolve complex merchant cases
- Investigate issues using data, systems, and internal notes
- Contact merchants when needed to clarify situations
- Make clear, well-documented decisions
- Work with teams like Finance, Sales, and Support
- Identify process improvements and recurring issues
- Help improve workflows and ways of working

About the Role
As a Merchant Operations Associate, you’ll help improve the day-to-day experience for our merchant partners. Your main focus will be keeping menus accurate and up to date, and supporting merchants with any issues related to equipment or content. You’ll work closely with internal teams to solve problems quickly and make sure everything runs smoothly on the platform. You’ll also help spot recurring issues and suggest simple improvements.
This role is well suited for someone with 2+ years of support or contact centre experience who is comfortable responding fast, handling large data sets, operational complexity, spotting patterns, and driving improvements across workflows.
What you’ll be doing
- Create, update, and maintain menus for merchant partners
- Ensure menu content is accurate and meets quality standards
- Support and troubleshoot issues related to equipment and tools
- Guide merchants on how to use self-service tools
- Work with internal teams to solve issues and improve processes
- Help identify recurring problems and suggest improvements
Our humble expectations
- 2+ years of experience in support, operations, or similar roles
- Strong attention to detail and structured way of working
- Comfortable using different systems and tools
- Good problem-solving skills
- Clear communication skills, both written and spoken
- Fluent in Danish and English
Nice to haves:
- Experience with CRM or ticketing tools
- Basic Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Background in food, hospitality, or marketplaces
- Additional languages (e.g. Arabic, Turkish, Persian)

About the Role
As a Merchant Operations Associate, you’ll focus on reaching out to merchants who are at risk of becoming inactive. Your goal is to help them get back on track or, if needed, support them in offboarding from the platform. You’ll speak directly with merchants to understand their challenges, solve issues, and improve their experience on Wolt. This role is a mix of outbound calling, problem-solving, and working with data.
This role suits someone with around 3+ years of experience who is comfortable making calls, staying organised, and enjoys helping customers succeed.
What you’ll be doing
- Contact merchants who are at risk of churn and help them reactivate
- Understand and solve issues affecting their performance (e.g. menu, availability, quality)
- Offboard merchants when reactivation is not possible
- Use data and dashboards to prioritise outreach
- Document all interactions in internal tools
- Work with Sales, Support, and other teams to improve the merchant experience
- Share feedback on common issues and suggest improvements
- Support team projects related to retention and operations
Our humble expectations
- 3+ years of experience in support, sales, or similar roles
- Comfortable making outbound calls and speaking with business owners
- Good problem-solving and organisational skills
- Basic data skills (e.g. Excel or Google Sheets)
- Comfortable using different tools and systems
- Clear communication skills in Danish and English

- Experience in outbound sales or retention roles

- Streamline how we assess the security of our vendors and third-party tools, paying special attention to how we safely integrate external AI technologies into our business.
- Help develop our internal standards for artificial intelligence, keeping us ahead of the curve on new global regulations like the EU AI Act.
- Identify opportunities to replace manual, repetitive risk management tasks with smart, AI-driven automation.
- Refresh our security policies and public-facing documents to clearly communicate our security posture to our customers, partners and auditors.

Who you are:
- You have solid experience managing and auditing against core compliance frameworks, such as SOC 2, ISO27001 and PCI DSS.
- You're well-versed in risk management processes, including risk identification, third-party risk management and vendor security due diligence.
- You have practical experience developing, implementing and managing security policies and procedures.
- You're a pragmatist who knows how to balance security risks with the pace of innovation, bringing a solid understanding of cloud environment risks.
