As a Software Engineer, you will:

• Design, build and test new services to support our products.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of the services.
• Ensure high code and design quality that fulfills business requirements and good design aspects (scalability, fault tolerance).
• Participate in technical decision making with senior leadership and team members by:
  • Supporting technical estimations and effort sizing.
  • Supporting the culture of technical excellence and zero technical debt via code & design reviews
  • Establishing code guidelines and reviewing team members’ PRs.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends in software and cloud solutions.

Qualifications:

• A minimum of 5+ years of relevant programming experience is a must.
• Experience with Java 8, 11, with good object-oriented design and programming skills.
• Working experience developing REST APIs.
• Experience with Spring framework (boot, security, data, test).
• Experience with SQL databases, preferably Postgres.
• Experience with unit testing, integration test and TDD.
• Solid understanding of algorithms, data structures, and complexity.
• Good command of Git and team workflows.
• Professional-level written and spoken English.

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience with Python scripting language.
• Experience with graph databases, preferably Neo4j.
• Good knowledge of containerization concepts (e.g. Docker and Kubernetes).
• Experienced with any of the cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, or Amazon).
• Familiarity with Agile project management methodologies.
• Good knowledge of the architectural patterns used in data pipelines. (Event-driven, Micro-services, Event sourcing, ...).

What You will do (Responsibilities) :

• Lead end-to-end ML development across BRKZ. Build and deploy production models, LLM agents, and data-driven workflows that improve accuracy and cut manual work across Finance, Credit, Procurement, and Operations.
• Scope problems with Product and Ops, size impact, and turn workflows into measurable gains.
• Cover full-stack ML engineering and applied data science: data analysis, feature engineering, modelling, evaluation, and monitoring.
• Own model lifecycle, reliability, and PDPL compliance. 
• Guide standards for data quality and ML practices. Mentor ML and AI engineers.

The Careem Data Science team’s mission is to drive competitive value from data at scale through building AI models to optimize user experiences, decision making, operational efficiencies, and lead the region’s AI ecosystem. As one of the leaders in this team, you will be at the forefront of fulfilling this mission. You will be working with and leading the top data science talent of the region, leveraging AI to solve the region’s day-to-day problems, through state-of-the-art machine learning, optimization, deep learning, and RL models, that are deployed on top of our own in-house AI platform, serving users in real-time.

What you'll need

• Experience in data mining, predictive modeling, time series analysis, machine learning, Big Data methodologies, transformation and cleaning of both structured and unstructured data.
• Advanced degree in a quantitative discipline such as Physics, Statistics, Mathematics, Engineering or Computer Science.
• Strong problem solving and coding skills.
• Solid knowledge of and experience with marketplace problems in ride hailing and delivery services. 
• Solid knowledge of AB testing, classic ML and DL
• Solid understanding of recommendations, learning to rank, uplift modeling and matching problems.

As a Sales Manager in Egypt you are expected to drive new client acquisition and grow incremental revenue against a targeted list of high potential agencies and advertisers through continuous engagement. Collaborate with internal Account Managers and Strategy teams to develop quality customer plans targeted at revenue growth and customer satisfaction. What is expected out of you?

In the first quarter:
