As a Senior Software Engineer - Agent (Endpoint Protection) Platform, you will design, develop, and operate large-scale, low-latency applications engineered to process several millions of events per second. You will own the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume data pipelines, ensuring mission-critical stability and data integrity through rigorous testing and proactive monitoring of key performance metrics. What will you do?

Design, develop, implement, test, document, and operate large-scale, high-volume and low latency applications, built to handle several millions of events per second.

Translate business and functional requirements into robust, scalable, operable solutions that work well within the overall data architecture.

Participate and collaborate with cross functional teams in the organization to understand the business requirements and to deliver solutions that can scale.

Maintain application stability and data integrity by monitoring key metrics and improving codebase accordingly.

Understand & maintain existing codebase by regular re-factoring and applying requested fixes and features.

Learn new technologies that can solve our huge volume of data and the challenges it poses.
Your Toolkit:

Our new components are primarily developed in Go and Java, and we use Python in our current backend environment.

Communication between microservices is facilitated using gRPC, REST, GraphQL APIs, and Kafka, depending on specific requirements.

We use Redis, PostgreSQL, Cassandra, ClickHouse and have our columnar time-series database for efficient event storage and retrieval at scale.

- High‑throughput, highly available services for policy, configuration and command distribution to millions of agents (protection from SentinelOne installed on the devices) around the world.
- Agent platform protocol for other SentinelOne teams to build upon and ship new security and detection capabilities safely and quickly.
- Reliability, scalability and observability of agent fleet in production, ensuring customers and internal teams have real‑time insight into fleet health and coverage.

We are seeking an experienced Staff Platform Engineer / Software Engineer who will serve as a technical leader with dozens of engineering teams. You are someone who enjoys bridging the gap between software engineering and systems architecture, and not just managing infra, but building Internal Developer Platform (IDP) on Kubernetes, and APIs that enable scalability, efficiency, productivity, and developer joy. You are a "doer" who can pivot from writing high-quality production code to influencing the architectural direction of our CI/CD pipelines and service catalogs (e.g., Backstage), as well as be the next frontier of Generative AI integration.
Our Developer Experience (DevEx) organization’s mission is to partner with SentinelOne engineering teams to accelerate the velocity of software delivery through continuous innovation and standardization. We are building a platform that serves nearly 1,000 engineers to release services and features to our customers, making it easy to move from POC to production safely and quickly. We're also transforming our CI/CD from a traditional pipeline into an AI-driven engine - you will help us build a platform where AI proactively helps developers write & ship code, generates high-coverage test suites on the fly, and performs the first pass of PR reviews with human-level context.
What Will You Do?
- Partner with Engineers, Build & Automate: The engineering teams are our primary customers - you will be working with them to understand their pain points and find long term solutions.
- You will be building the IDP as the "Golden Path", and tools that improve the quality of life and streamlining the development process for the teams, so that they can build without having to worry about the underlying infrastructure.
- You will be also building scalable solutions in collaboration with other infrastructure teams.
- Modernize the Stack: Collaborate with architects to evaluate and implement modern tools (e.g., ArgoCD, GitHub Actions) and deployment strategies (Canary, Blue/Green).
- Lead the AI-Driven CI/CD Shift: Architect and implement AI-powered workflows that assist in code generation, automated testing, and intelligent PR analysis to eliminate developer friction.
- Operational Ownership: Identify causes of toil across engineering orgs and eliminate them through automation, enhancing overall system reliability and developer satisfaction.
- Cross-Functional Influence: Partner with Product, Security, and Finance teams to align technical roadmaps with business value and customer needs. You will influence strategy and ensure our platform is as lean as it is powerful.

- Experience with CI/CD tooling at scale (e.g., GitHub Actions, ArgoCD, Jenkins etc.) and GitOps approach
- Strong experience with Terraform, Pulumi, or similar IaC frameworks
- Familiarity with DevEx fundamentals, including Service Catalogs (Backstage), REST APIs, or gRPC
- Familiarity with both SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB, ClickHouse, or Redis)

Behind the scenes, we run a flat team structure, we experiment a lot, and when something doesn’t work, we fix it. No middle layers, no gatekeeping.
You’d be joining early — we just silently launched alpha version of the product — with full opportunity to shape the product and how we build it.
Your toolbox (the stuff we actually need):
- Solid .NET Web Services experience (this is core)
- You’ve built REST APIs, not just used them
- You want to be part of refinements, not wait for hand-offs
- You’re curious, technically solid, and ready to grow
Your angle (what you bring on top):
No one’s perfect, but if you bring two or more of these, we’ll get excited:
- deep performance optimization and scalability experience (.NET)
- monitoring or observability know-how
- security mindset
- background or interest in computer vision / AI
- a feel for UX/UI that goes beyond dev perspective
