About this Trip Enrollment Advisor role at WorldStrides

WorldStrides · Onsite · Calle 56 - Num 444-A por 33 y 35, Colonia Centro Merida Yucatan

Company Introduction

WorldStrides is the global leader in educational travel and experiential learning. The company was founded in 1967 to provide middle school travel programs to Washington, D.C. and has grown to provide a wide range of programs for more than half a million students annually to over 100 countries around the world. WorldStrides offers experiential learning programs in educational travel, performing arts, language immersion, career exploration, service-learning, study abroad, and sports. Each of these experiences helps students to see beyond the classroom and to see the world – and themselves – in new ways.

The Trip Enrollment Advisor is responsible for driving student trip enrollments through proactive outbound outreach to parents and guardians following parent meetings. This role serves as a consultative enrollment advisor, helping families understand program benefits, answer questions, address concerns, and complete the registration process.
As a critical link between parent meeting attendance and student enrollment, the Enrollment Specialist plays a key role in converting interest into commitment and helping more students access life-changing educational travel opportunities.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, customer-focused, and skilled at balancing sales conversations with exceptional service. They build trust with families, remove enrollment barriers, and create confidence in the travel experience while guiding parents toward a successful enrollment decision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enrollment Conversion
  • Place outbound calls to parents of middle and high school students who attended a trip parent meeting, using a provided call script and cadence.
  • Open each call warmly and personally — referencing the specific meeting, teacher, and destination — to build rapport before discussing enrollment.
  • Ask open-ended discovery questions to identify what's holding a parent back (cost, spousal discussion, trip questions, safety concerns, etc.) rather than relying on a single scripted prompt.
  • Clearly and confidently communicate the time-sensitive early enrollment discount and its deadline, framing it around the value to the student.
  • Handle a range of common objections (payment plans, needing to consult a spouse, student hesitation, safety questions, cancellation policy, etc.) using approved talking points.
  • Guide parents through the enrollment process live on the phone when they're ready, or set a specific, scheduled follow-up call or email when they need more time.
  • Leave clear, effective voicemails that reference the meeting, the deadline, and a specific callback action for the large share of calls that go unanswered.
  • Accurately log call outcomes using detailed disposition codes (e.g., specific objection type, follow-up commitment, enrollment completed) to support pilot reporting and coaching.
  • Follow a structured multi-touch cadence (calls, voicemails, texts, emails) across the enrollment window rather than treating each contact as a single attempt.
  • Meet daily and weekly targets for call volume, contact rate, and enrollment conversions.

Parent Engagement

  • Build rapport and establish trust with parents and guardians.
  • Answer questions regarding trip details, safety, payment plans, fundraising opportunities, policies, and deadlines.
  • Reinforce key information shared during the parent meeting.
  • Provide a positive and supportive enrollment experience.

Objection Handling

  • Utilize discovery techniques to uncover concerns and hesitations.
  • Address objections related to cost, timing, student readiness, safety, logistics, and family decision-making.
  • Present available options and resources that help families move forward with enrollment.

Documentation & Follow-Up

  • Accurately document all interactions in CRM and contact center systems.
  • Track call outcomes, objections, enrollment status, and next steps.
  • Execute follow-up communications through calls, voicemail, SMS, and email as assigned.
  • Maintain compliance with all documentation and quality standards.

Performance & Quality

  • Meet or exceed enrollment conversion goals.
  • Achieve established productivity and contact targets.
  • Maintain high-quality customer interactions and adherence to approved scripts and processes.
  • Participate in coaching sessions, training, and calibration activities.

Qualifications

Required

  • Experience in customer service, sales, retention, or outbound calling.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong objection-handling and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to build rapport quickly and influence purchasing decisions.
  • Comfortable working in a metrics-driven environment.
