As the iOS Tech Lead you'll be responsible for the technical direction, strategy and health of our iOS platform. You'll ensure that our technology can deliver on the business/product requirements necessary to make Pinterest successful. This means working with other leads to set and execute a long-term strategy for iOS, aligning the strategy with other clients where it makes sense and communicating to leadership our current status and path to having a world-class iOS platform. You'll also foster a healthy iOS community where all iOS engineers can learn best practices, collaborate effectively and understand our technical direction.
What you’ll do:
- Be the technical point of contact for decisions that impact the whole iOS platform and for cross-functional partners like recruiting, business development and legal
- Develop strong partnerships with product teams to understand and proactively address future technology needs and current developer pain points
- Champion and drive large-scale, cross-functional initiatives that improve the iOS platform
- Leverage AI to accelerate delivery and increase overall efficiency of large scale migrations and refactoring initiatives while remaining accountable for final decisions and deliverables.
- Act as the ultimate “customer representative” for engineers on iOS including representing needs to leadership and prioritizing projects on the platform teams that ensure high quality features and a world-class developer experience
- Scale your leadership through both direct mentorship and via best practices, processes, training and tools.
- Ensure solid technical plans are in place for projects within iOS via direct review or delegation
What we’re looking for:
- Deep expertise building iOS systems at scale with modern frameworks
- Knowledge of (and a passion for) current trends and best practices in client architecture
- Track record of delivering large, cross-functional projects across multiple organizations
- Track record for being a champion of developer velocity and feature quality
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally
- Demonstrated ability to use AI to improve speed and quality in your day-to-day workflow for relevant outputs.
- Demonstrated ability of critical evaluation and verification of AI-assisted work (e.g., testing, source-checking, data validation, peer review).
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, a related field, or equivalent experience.

In-Office Requirement Statement:
- This role will need to be in the office for in-person collaboration 1-2 times every 6-months and therefore can be situated anywhere in the country.
