Job's mission

Engineering changes are essential to keeping innovation moving. As a Senior Specialist I, Engineering Change Planning, you will play a key role in ensuring component transitions, supplier changes, and product improvements are implemented successfully across our global operations. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and supply chain teams, you will help balance business needs, mitigate risk, and ensure continuity as we deliver the technologies that power the next generation of semiconductor devices.

What you will be working on

  • Own the end-to-end component cut-in process, including component end-of-life (EOL), supplier change requests, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead cross-functional engineering change and production risk review meetings.
  • Analyze engineering change data and identify risks that could impact implementation timelines or lead to material shortages.
  • Develop and drive mitigation plans with global stakeholders to ensure successful execution of engineering changes.
  • Assess and recommend last-time buys (LTB) and risk buys to support design, qualification, and implementation activities.
  • Evaluate the impact of build plan changes on engineering change implementation schedules and target cut-in dates.
  • Drive the timely implementation of replacement parts to prevent stock-outs and production disruption.
  • Present implementation recommendations and inventory exposure assessments during change review board discussions.
  • Promote adherence to product change management processes and governance requirements.
  • Monitor and expedite engineering change activities to ensure milestones are achieved on time.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support BOM updates and implementation readiness.
  • Leverage Power BI and related tools to generate insights, track progress, and support data-driven decisions.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree in Materials, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in planning, supply chain management, engineering change management, or related functions.
  • Experience managing engineering changes, component lifecycle transitions, and change control processes.
  • Working knowledge of SAP, MRP systems, and product lifecycle management methodologies.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple functions in a global manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of new product introduction, product lifecycle processes, and engineering change workflows.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.

What sets you apart

  • Experience within the semiconductor or capital equipment industry.
  • Experience managing component EOL programs and supplier-driven change activities.
  • Knowledge of inventory risk management, last-time buy planning, and supply continuity strategies.
  • Experience leading cross-functional reviews and driving alignment among stakeholders.
  • Working knowledge of Power BI and data visualization tools.
  • Project management experience in a complex, global organization.
  • Ability to influence outcomes and build strong partnerships across a matrixed environment.
