Your Opportunity:

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Software Engineer to act as a technical pillar within our innovative engineering team. This role is ideal for a high-impact Individual who thrives on autonomy and scale. You will be responsible for driving massive, complex projects from conceptualization and architectural design all the way to implementation, deployment, and landing.

You will operate at a high level, providing technical leadership across multiple teams. By working closely with product managers, leadership, and engineers across the company, you will shape our technical strategy, tackle our most difficult scaling challenges, and continuously broaden the capabilities of our cutting-edge AI and contact center solutions.

Your Top Responsibilities:

• End-to-End Ownership: Drive massive, cross-functional engineering projects from raw concept to successful production deployment and monitoring.
• Architectural Leadership: Lead the design and architecture of highly available, scalable, and robust systems, services, and databases that span across multiple engineering teams.
• Technical Force Multiplier: Set the standard for engineering excellence. Conduct rigorous code reviews, establish best practices, and improve our development and deployment pipelines and strategies.
• Complex Problem Solving: Debug, profile, and troubleshoot the most complex systemic and performance issues within a high-concurrency, real-time SaaS environment.
• Cross-Team Alignment: Act as a technical anchor, collaborating with various squads to ensure architectural consistency, and the strategic reduction of technical debt.
• Mentorship: Elevate the entire engineering team by mentoring mid-level and junior engineers, guiding their technical growth, and helping ramp up new joiners.

What We Expect from You:

• 5+ years of software engineering experience, with a heavy focus on backend or full-stack development in a high-scale SaaS environment.
• Elite Independent Contributor Capabilities: Proven track record of independently leading large-scale technical initiatives and delivering production-ready, highly optimized software.
• Deep Architectural Knowledge: Advanced expertise in system design, distributed systems, caching strategies, and API design optimized for high availability.
• Database Mastery: Extensive experience with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL), including schema design, query optimization, and handling data at scale.
• Operational Excellence: Strong foundational knowledge of cloud infrastructure, observability, and deploying robust features.
• Adaptability: A proven ability to rapidly learn, evaluate, and integrate bleeding-edge technologies and frameworks.

Additional Information (Added Advantages):

• Leadership & Management: While this is highly suited for an Individual Contributor, previous experience in engineering management, formal Tech Lead roles, or people management is a strong plus.
• Domain Experience: Experience working on VoIP-related projects (WebRTC, SIP, etc.) or real-time communication platforms is a strong plus.
• Stack Alignment: Deep expertise with Ruby on Rails (or similar frameworks), JavaScript/Vue.js (or comparable frontend frameworks), and PostgreSQL is preferred.
• AI/LLM Exposure: Experience integrating or building around Large Language Models, machine learning pipelines, or data-heavy applications.
• Education: A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
