Your role

We're seeking a Senior Web Engineer for our team. As a Web Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and enhancing our Frontend applications.

Drawing on your strong background in backend development and web technology, you will be tasked with building and maintaining sophisticated backend APIs and services. Your efforts will be vital to providing unmatched and unique advertising experiences, setting a standard in user engagement that distinguishes Tamara.

With a solid track record of crafting complex backend systems, you will integrate into our Agile team to develop robust and scalable backend services. These services are crucial in supporting our dynamic frontend and mobile applications and our comprehensive financing solutions, ultimately transforming how millions of users worldwide interact with shopping, payment, and banking platforms.

 

Your responsibilities

  • Lead and drive Agile methodologies within the team, ensuring adherence to the Scrum framework. Mentor team members through all phases of the software development lifecycle, from planning and design to deployment and maintenance. 
  • Collaborate closely with the Product team to deeply understand requirements and translate them into functional, efficient, and high-quality frontend code.
  • Partner with Backend, Mobile, and QA engineers to ensure seamless backend integration and functionality with other software ecosystem components. This includes coordinating development efforts, troubleshooting, and supporting each other to meet project timelines.
  • Actively participate in Frontend Chapter meetings and initiatives, contributing to the development of best practices, sharing knowledge, and staying updated with the latest Frontend technologies and trends.
  • Work in tandem with QA engineers to define comprehensive test cases, support both automated and manual testing processes, and ensure that releases meet the highest quality standards before deployment.
  • Lead and participate in code review sessions to uphold high code quality. Share knowledge, provide and incorporate constructive feedback, and help improve overall codebase health and architecture
  • Work with CI/CD tools to automate testing and deployment processes, ensuring that changes are released efficiently to the production environment with minimal downtime.
  • Take a proactive role in leading daily stand-ups, sprint planning, sprint grooming, and retrospective meetings. Utilize these activities to monitor progress, anticipate challenges, and drive improvements in the development process and team efficiency.
  • Oversee and produce comprehensive documentation for development processes, architectural designs, and code changes. Ensure documentation is detailed and accessible to support current team operations and facilitate future project maintenance and onboarding..



Your expertise:

  • 6+ years of professional experience in Software Engineering, with a focus on Frontend development.
  • Framework Knowledge: Familiarity with major Javascript frameworks; experience with React JS is preferred.
  • Solid understanding of modern JavaScript features, including ES2023 updates, asynchronous programming, and concurrent rendering concepts for building efficient and scalable applications.
  • Experience in Software Development, Design, and Architecture, with security in mind
  • Good practical knowledge of OOP concepts and SOLID principles
  • Experience with Agile practices: Pairing, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery
  • Expertise in optimizing web performance and Web Vitals (e.g., Core Web Vitals) to ensure fast load times and smooth user experiences, including metrics like Time to First Byte (TTFB), Time to Interactive (TTI), and First Contentful Paint (FCP).
  • Experience in web application design and state management solutions
  • Experience with Unit and Integration testing
  • Understanding common security vulnerabilities and performance issues in web applications, and knowing how to debug them
  • ​​​​​​​Strong customer focus, you build accessible applications with a great UX
  • Knowledge of web accessibility standards and best practices to create inclusive and accessible web applications
  • Superb communication skills, and ability to interact effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Next.js 15 and its latest features, such as improved server components, streaming, and advanced static site generation, is a plus.
