Position Summary

The Senior Human Resources Generalist act as Business Partner and is accountable for defining the US HR Plan aligned with the company Business Plan and is responsible of delivering both operational and strategic Human Resources support across our U.S. manufacturing operations.

The ideal candidate has manufacturing experience, understands both hourly and salaried workforces, is confident navigating U.S. employment legislation, and thrives in an fast-paced environment where they can influence business leaders.

Key Responsibilities

HR Leadership & Excellence
  • Define, implement & follow an HR plan aligned with the unit business plan and the company vision and values.
  • Establish an organizational structure that ensures the longevity and the success of the unit
  • Plan workforce requirements to support the Unit operating and business development
  • Cultivate high-performance, customer-focused culture
  • Guide managers and supervisors in using a coaching approach with employees and build their relationship.
  • Employee Engagement
  • Foster a positive employee experience and strong workplace culture.
  • Serve as the primary HR partner for managers and employees across both locations.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, coaching, discipline, investigations, conflict resolution, and employee concerns.
  • Worforce Planning, Recruitment & Onboarding
  • Support workforce planning initiatives.
  • Manage the full recruitment cycle for hourly and salaried positions.
  • Partner with hiring managers to identify staffing needs.
  • Coordinate onboarding and orientation activities.
  • Continuous Improvement & Projects
  • Lead and participate in HR improvement initiatives.
  • Help streamline HR processes through technology and automation.
  • Support company-wide HR projects and organizational initiatives.
  • Collaborate with Corporate HR on strategic programs.
  • Ensure HR metrics are in place and followed.
  • Performance & Talent
  • Support performance management processes.
  • Assist managers with employee development and succession planning.
  • Coordinate training initiatives.
  • Support managers through corrective action, documentation, and terminations while ensuring compliance with federal and state employment laws.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve employee engagement and retention.
  • Payroll & Benefits
  • Process and review multi-state U.S. payroll , ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Administer employee benefits and support open enrollment.
  • Maintain accurate HRIS and payroll records.
  • Respond to employee payroll and benefits inquiries.
  • Governance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment legislation.
  • Maintain employee files and HR documentation.
  • Support employment audits and reporting.
  • Monitor changes in employment legislation and recommend policy updates.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources experience.
  • Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial environments.
  • Experience supporting both hourly (blue-collar) and salaried (white-collar) employees.
  • Hands-on experience processing U.S. payroll (multi-state preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. employment legislation including FLSA, FMLA, ADA, EEOC, OSHA, COBRA, and other applicable federal and state employment laws.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations and managing employee relations matters.
  • Experience supporting performance management, recruitment, compensation, and benefits administration.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills.
