We are seeking an experienced SAS Administrator to manage, maintain, and optimize enterprise SAS environments. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, performance, security, and reliability of SAS platforms while supporting business-critical analytics workloads. You will work closely with infrastructure, analytics, and IT teams to administer SAS applications, implement best practices, and ensure seamless platform operations.

This role is well suited for professionals with strong expertise in SAS administration, platform architecture, system performance optimization, and enterprise infrastructure management.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, administer, and maintain enterprise SAS environments to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
  • Monitor SAS platform health, system performance, and resource utilization, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
  • Perform routine system maintenance, including software installations, patches, upgrades, and platform enhancements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform, application, and infrastructure-related issues affecting SAS services.
  • Optimize SAS platform performance through system tuning, workload management, and resource optimization.
  • Implement and maintain security controls to protect sensitive data and ensure compliance with organizational security policies.
  • Collaborate with analytics, infrastructure, and IT teams to improve platform stability, scalability, and performance.
  • Manage user access, authentication, permissions, and platform security.
  • Develop, maintain, and update technical documentation, operational procedures, and system administration guides.
  • Ensure backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures are implemented and regularly validated.
  • Support production deployments, platform migrations, and environment upgrades.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to SAS users, assisting with issue resolution and platform best practices.

Requirements

Must-Have Skills

  • Strong hands-on experience in SAS Administration.
  • Experience managing and supporting enterprise SAS environments.
  • Solid understanding of SAS platform architecture and administration.
  • Experience with system monitoring, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of UNIX/Linux administration and scripting.
  • Experience with Windows Server administration.
  • Strong understanding of data security, access management, and platform governance.
  • Experience implementing system maintenance, upgrades, and patch management.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.

Good-to-Have Skills

  • Experience with SAS performance tuning and system optimization.
  • Familiarity with automation and scripting using Shell, Bash, or Python.
  • Experience supporting enterprise analytics platforms and data processing workloads.
  • Knowledge of backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability architectures.
  • Experience providing end-user technical support and training.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based infrastructure or hybrid deployment environments.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 4–8 years of experience in SAS Administration or enterprise analytics platform administration.
  • Experience supporting large-scale production SAS environments.
  • Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure, networking, and system administration best practices.
