About the Role

The Program Manager serves as the technical backbone and operational anchor for our high-performing PODs. Bridging the gap between high-level client strategy and daily tactical execution, you will lead cross-functional delivery teams—guiding Senior, Intermediate, and Junior project staff toward consistent execution excellence.

This role is critical to scaling our nearshore delivery operations and driving long-term client retention. By combining hands-on team leadership, proactive risk management, and solution advisory, you will ensure that software delivery decisions directly align with our clients' business goals while fostering a culture of continuous mentorship and team growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Anchor Delivery Execution: Own the full program delivery lifecycle by breaking down complex program requirements into manageable backlogs, estimating milestones, and unblocking daily POD activities.
• Lead and Mentor PODs: Direct daily team operations, foster high morale, and actively mentor engineers and project staff through structured feedback, 1:1 sessions, and performance evaluations.
• Drive Strategic Client Partnerships: Serve as the primary delivery point of contact for client stakeholders, proactively managing expectations, communicating technical progress, and identifying account expansion opportunities.
• Optimize Delivery Quality: Establish and enforce rigorous local delivery review processes, ensuring all outcomes strictly adhere to CodeRoad’s standards and client SOW requirements.
• Mitigate Delivery Risks: Proactively identify, track, and resolve project-level bottlenecks, technical blockers, and burnout risks before they impact timeline or budget commitments.
• Support Talent Acquisition: Partner with hiring teams to evaluate and interview candidates joining your assigned accounts, ensuring seamless onboarding and cultural fit.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in technical project management or program delivery, with at least 1 year in a lead or anchor role within a nearshore or agency setting.
• Agile & Scrum Mastery: Deep expertise in running modern software delivery workflows using tools such as Jira, Confluence, or Linear.
• Proven Leadership: Strong background in mentoring cross-functional teams, managing delivery quality, and conducting evidence-based performance evaluations.
• Business Acumen & Ownership Mindset: Demonstrated ability to connect engineering decisions to business outcomes and proactively drive account health.
• Advanced English: Mandatory native or near-native bilingual fluency (English/Spanish) with exceptional verbal and written communication skills for client-facing interaction.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

Nice to Have

• Active certification in modern project methodologies (PMP, CSM, or SAFe).
• Prior experience managing multi-disciplinary nearshore PODs across different time zones.
• Familiarity with modern cloud architecture concepts, software delivery pipelines, and AI-driven workflow tools (e.g., RAG, orchestration frameworks).
• Hands-on experience contributing to client discovery phases, SOW creations, and upsell conversations.
