Job Purpose

Stud or Dud is the next generation of online dating intelligence—helping people make more informed decisions before meeting someone new.   Our mission is to create a product that combines trust, transparency, AI, and engaging user experiences to make online dating safer, smarter, and more fun.

The Product Owner will be responsible for driving product growth, engagement, and monetization across the Stud or Dud platform.   This role requires someone who is highly analytical, and passionate about consumer products.   You'll own the product roadmap, lead experimentation, and work cross-functionally to deliver meaningful improvements that increase customer acquisition, conversion, retention, and revenue.

We're looking for someone who thrives in fast-moving startup environments, loves testing new ideas, and uses data to make confident product decisions.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Own the end-to-end product roadmap for Stud or Dud, prioritizing initiatives that improve customer acquisition, engagement, trust, safety, and subscription growth.
  • Develop a deep understanding of user behavior throughout the dating journey and identify opportunities to reduce friction while increasing confidence and conversion.
  • Lead continuous A/B testing and experimentation across onboarding, paywalls, pricing, messaging, AI experiences, viral loops, referrals, and subscription funnels.
  • Partner with Design, Engineering, Marketing, Project Management, and Customer Support to deliver high-impact product releases.
  • Translate customer insights, behavioral analytics, and market trends into actionable product requirements.
  • Define and monitor key performance indicators including activation, engagement, retention, conversion, customer lifetime value, referral rates, and subscription revenue.
  • Drive AI-powered experiences that help users evaluate compatibility, identify relationship signals, interpret background information, and build confidence before meeting someone.
  • Research emerging trends across online dating, identity verification, consumer AI, trust and safety, and subscription products to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Marketing to optimize acquisition channels, lifecycle communications, and product-led growth initiatives.
  • Present product performance, learnings, and recommendations to executive leadership.

Basic Qualifications & Skills

  • Passion for building consumer products that solve real-world trust and safety challenges.
  • Strong product intuition combined with exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience using data to prioritize opportunities and make informed product decisions.
  • Demonstrated success leading experimentation programs and translating insights into measurable business outcomes.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered consumer experiences, personalization, and behavioral analytics.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence across technical and business teams.
  • Comfortable operating in an entrepreneurial, fast-paced environment with a bias toward action.

Education & Experience

  • 5+ years of Product Management or Product Ownership experience within consumer technology, Online Dating, SaaS, marketplace, ecommerce, subscription
  • Proven success growing customer-facing products through experimentation, analytics, and continuous optimization.
  • Experience with product analytics platforms (GA4, VWO, Domo) and A/B testing frameworks.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Product Management, Computer Science, Marketing, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related discipline.
  • MBA or equivalent product leadership experience is a plus.
