About this Payment Specialist role at Guru Pay
Guru Pay is an EMI based in Lithuania with a goal to deliver a personalized boutique service to B2B, B2C and C2B customers. Our team is small, yet highly ambitious in delivering high-tier service for our business accounts.
We are looking for a reliable and ownership-driven Payment Specialist to support daily payment operations and ensure smooth execution of domestic and international transactions. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys structured work, takes responsibility seriously, and is motivated to improve processes in a fast-paced environment.
What will you do:
- Execute and monitor domestic and international payments across SEPA, SWIFT, FX, and real-time rails
- Handle SWIFT messages related to payment investigations, recalls, and inquiries
- Monitor customer and pooled account balances and support settlement activities
- Coordinate settlement releases, reversals, and cut-off–related issues
- Perform financial transaction data entry via online banking platforms
- Analyze failed payments, reconciliation breaks, chargebacks, and disputes
- Support Customer Service teams in resolving payment-related cases
- Communicate with banking and payment partners on operational issues
- Identify technical or process inefficiencies and drive improvements or automation
- Prepare client fee calculations and provide regular payment KPI and reconciliation reports
What we expect:
- 2+ years of experience in payments, reconciliation, or a similar financial role
- Good understanding of payment operations, especially SEPA and SWIFT
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of issues end-to-end
- Strong communication skills in Lithuanian and English
- Comfortable with routine tasks while adapting to new projects and changes
- Willingness to speak up, suggest improvements, and accept feedback
- Full-time availability from our Vilnius office (4 days on-site after onboarding – Wednesdays remote)
Nice to have:
- Experience in the acquiring field
- Deep hands-on knowledge of SEPA and SWIFT
- Experience working on projects involving new partners and products, including testing, implementation, and integration into the team’s daily operations.
