We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Lead to join our team in Dublin (D15). This is a site-based role responsible for leading mechanical installation activities on major data centre projects, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage mechanical engineering teams and subcontractors throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee mechanical installation activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, drawings, and programme requirements.
• Coordinate and liaise with the Contracts Manager, Site Engineers, Project Managers, and other discipline leads to ensure smooth project delivery.
• Review mechanical drawings and specifications, identifying any errors, omissions, or potential improvements and communicating these effectively with the design team.
• Propose suitable design changes to improve cost efficiency, construction sequencing, programme delivery, and overall quality.
• Monitor the quality of workmanship and materials to ensure the highest standards are maintained.
• Establish project resource requirements and effectively lead, motivate, and develop the mechanical project team.
• Manage construction activities to ensure works are delivered safely, on schedule, and within budget.
• Demonstrate strong commercial awareness and support effective project delivery.
• Ensure all works are carried out in accordance with company health and safety standards and project requirements.
• Support commissioning and handover activities to ensure successful project completion.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a relevant discipline.
• Proven experience leading mechanical teams on large-scale construction projects.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of MEP construction and installation processes.
• Experience delivering mechanical packages on data centre projects is highly desirable.
• Strong knowledge of procurement, subcontractor management, and project coordination.
• Experience with construction scheduling, programming, and sequencing.
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and specifications.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving abilities with a proactive approach to project delivery.
