Role Summary
FamilyWell is looking for a hands-on Marketing & Communications Manager who can move fluidly between clinical credibility and consumer resonance. This is not a role for someone who delegates execution — you will write the copy, build the sequences, design the assets, and own the strategy behind all of it.
You will be the primary marketing voice for two distinct but connected brands: FamilyWell Health, our clinical care platform serving patients and health system partners, and FamilyWell Academy, our professional training and certification program for perinatal mental health providers. These audiences require different tones, channels, and funnels — and you will navigate both with intention.
You are proactive, not reactive. You look at what the data is telling you and adjust. You use AI as a productivity tool but you can immediately spot the difference between generated filler and writing that actually earns attention. You produce the latter.
What You Will Own
Content Strategy & Writing (25%)
- Develop and execute a content strategy across both FamilyWell Health and FamilyWell Academy, with distinct voice and audience mapping for each
- Write in a clinical, credible voice for provider-facing and health system content — white papers, one-pagers, case studies, and email campaigns
- Write in an accessible, warm consumer voice for patient-facing and Academy learner content
- Produce blog posts, newsletters, social copy, and nurture email sequences independently — not by prompting AI and publishing the output
- Edit and elevate AI-assisted drafts with judgment about what reads as genuine versus generated
HubSpot & Nurture Marketing (25%)
- Own HubSpot from strategy to execution: build and manage contact lists, segmentation, workflows, and email sequences
- Design and deploy nurture campaigns for multiple audience segments — prospective clinical partners, Academy enrollees, and direct-to-consumer patient leads
- Track open rates, click-through, conversion, and funnel movement; make data-informed adjustments to cadence, content, and segmentation
- Collaborate with clinical and operations teams to ensure messaging accuracy and compliance with healthcare communication standards
Website & Digital Presence (15%)
- Manage and update content on Squarespace for both brands, including landing pages, course pages, and campaign-specific pages
- Ensure SEO fundamentals are applied across web content
- Maintain a consistent visual and editorial brand across all digital touchpoints
Design & Asset Production (15%)
- Produce branded visual assets in Canva: social graphics, email headers, event materials, one-pagers, and provider-facing educational content
- Manage an organized asset library and maintain brand consistency across both FamilyWell entities
- Support Academy course marketing materials and promotional collateral
Social Media Planning & Management (20%)
- Develop a social media content calendar across LinkedIn and Instagram that serves both brands
- Write and schedule posts; monitor engagement and community signals
- Identify relevant cultural and clinical moments in maternal and perinatal mental health to build timely content around
What We Are Looking For
Required
- 5+ years of marketing and communications experience, with demonstrated B2B and D2C work
- Exceptional writing ability across multiple voices and formats — clinical, consumer, and editorial
- Hands-on HubSpot experience: you have built workflows, sequences, and reports yourself, based on desired goals.
- Experience managing or editing a website in Squarespace or a comparable CMS
- Comfort with AI writing tools paired with strong editorial judgment — you know when to use them and when to rewrite
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, and surface recommendations without being asked
- Experience analyzing marketing data and translating it into strategic adjustments
- Familiarity with healthcare, mental health, women's health, or a similarly regulated, relationship-driven sector
Strongly Preferred
- Experience in perinatal or maternal health, behavioral health, or clinical education marketing
- Background supporting both a direct care brand and a professional education or certification product
- Partnership or B2B outreach experience — writing for health systems, OB/GYN practices, or institutional buyers
- Canva proficiency for production-ready asset creation
- Comfort with social media strategy and scheduling tools
Who Thrives in This Role
You are someone who reads about perinatal mental health on your own time. You care about the mission and it shows in your copy. You can sit in a strategy meeting and a Canva file in the same afternoon. You do not wait to be told what to post or what to send — you come with a plan and can explain what problem it is solving. You hold a high personal standard for what you'll put FamilyWell's name on, including in AI output. You communicate proactively when something is off track and bring solutions, not just flags.
Please be aware of recruitment scams. FamilyWell will never ask candidates to pay money, request sensitive personal information early in the process, or conduct interviews over unsecured platforms. All official communication will come from an @familywellhealth.com email address.
