We are looking for an experienced Lead Platform Engineer with 5–9 years of expertise in platform engineering, DevOps, Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), or infrastructure engineering. You will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining highly available, scalable, and secure enterprise platforms that support mission-critical workloads.
The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience managing Kubernetes or OpenShift environments, enterprise virtualization platforms, Linux systems, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). You will work closely with development, cloud, and operations teams to build robust automation pipelines and improve platform reliability.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and manage enterprise-grade Kubernetes or OpenShift platforms across production environments.
- Deploy, configure, and maintain OpenShift distributions such as OpenShift Container Platform (OCP), OKD, ROSA, or ARO.
- Manage virtualization infrastructure using VMware vSphere or enterprise bare-metal environments.
- Administer and troubleshoot Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) servers with a focus on stability, security, and performance.
- Implement GitOps workflows using tools such as ArgoCD to automate application deployments.
- Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform, Ansible, or similar automation frameworks.
- Monitor platform health, optimize resource utilization, and ensure high availability of infrastructure.
- Build CI/CD integration strategies for cloud-native application deployment.
- Collaborate with software engineering teams to improve platform scalability, reliability, and developer experience.
- Implement infrastructure security best practices, compliance standards, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Participate in production incident management, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to platform engineering best practices across teams.
Required Skills
Must-Have Skills
- 5–9 years of experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, Infrastructure Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering (SRE).
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, OKD, ROSA, or ARO.
- Experience managing enterprise virtualization platforms including VMware vSphere or Bare-metal infrastructure.
- Strong Linux administration experience, preferably Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL).
- Expertise in GitOps methodologies using ArgoCD.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Ansible.
- Strong understanding of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes ecosystem.
- Experience troubleshooting production infrastructure and distributed systems.
- Good knowledge of networking fundamentals, storage, DNS, load balancing, and security concepts.
- Experience with automation and scripting using Bash, Python, or similar languages.
Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience with public cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Knowledge of observability tools including Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, or OpenTelemetry.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
- Experience with service mesh technologies like Istio.
- Knowledge of security scanning, compliance automation, and policy management.
- Exposure to enterprise platform modernization and hybrid cloud environments.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related engineering discipline.
- Relevant certifications in Kubernetes, OpenShift, Red Hat, VMware, AWS, Azure, or Terraform are an added advantage.
