About this BMS Design Engineer role at Albireo Energy
We are seeking a highly capable BMS Design Engineer to support the successful delivery of projects ranging from £30k small works through to multi-million-pound schemes across multiple market verticals. This is a predominantly remote-based design role, suited to an engineer who can take ownership of design outputs, coordinate with key stakeholders, and produce clear, accurate documentation that enables smooth project delivery.
The role will involve reviewing panel drawings, creating points lists, developing and revising control documentation, liaising with OEMs and consultants, and ensuring designs are practical, compliant, and ready for handover to onsite commissioning engineers.
You will work across a varied project portfolio, supporting commercial, public sector, education, healthcare, residential, retail, and specialist environments where robust BMS design is essential to operational performance, energy efficiency, and reliable commissioning.
The position is predominantly remote, with occasional site attendance required where design support, surveys, technical reviews, or commissioning assistance are necessary. Flexibility to support onsite activity when required is important.
This is an excellent opportunity for a design-focused BMS professional who is confident working independently, comfortable engaging with technical stakeholders, and motivated by delivering high-quality design packages that support efficient project execution.
The role reports into the projects / design delivery team.
