WHO YOU ARE
- 1.5–3 years of engineering experience, with strong fundamentals in Python
- Fluent in Python, and comfortable in Node, Java, or whatever the project calls for — you're language-agnostic and pick things up fast
- You understand how a web framework actually works, not just how to use one (Django, Flask, Express, Spring — the mental model matters more than the badge)
- You can design and write a REST API
- Solid SQL, and you understand how relational databases work well enough to design a schema, not just query one
- You've worked with front-end frameworks (React, Angular, Vue)
- Some hands-on experience with Claude or similar models
- You understand at a high level how Claude works — the same way you understand AWS. You don't need to have built it; you need to know what the pieces do and when to reach for which one
WHAT YOU MIGHT DO (No day is the same)
- Use AI to write code and ship full-stack applications, data pipelines, and internal tools
- Build AI agents that do real work for our teams and our clients
- Create technical designs that support our platform
- Build high-quality cloud-based Python and Django products
- Expand the platform's feature set in an extensible, scalable way
- Design and develop data pipelines using cloud and open-source stacks)
- Write code that passes unit tests and holds up in an agile, test-driven environment
GOOD TO HAVE (not required)
- An understanding of how AI agents work — planning, tool use, context, and how you evaluate whether one is actually doing its job
- Experience overseeing agents doing real work: reviewing their output, correcting course, knowing when to take the wheel
- A working sense of how to use AI in your own day-to-day, beyond autocomplete
- Cloud experience (EC2, EBS, S3)
Note: Hybrid work in office is an essential function of the job.
