Yassir Technologies is looking for a results-driven Retail Operations Area Manager to lead and scale our dark store network across Hatfield, Centurion, Midrand, and Edenvale.

Reporting to Operations Leadership, you will take full ownership of retail execution across the area, driving operational excellence, enforcing rigorous inventory and financial controls, and mentoring high-performing store teams.

Working cross-functionally with Growth and Supply Chain, you will play a critical role in optimizing our quick-commerce supply chain to deliver speed, accuracy, and an exceptional customer experience every time.

Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence

Implement and enforce standardised operating procedures (SOPs) across all stores in the area.

Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for each store and identify areas for improvement.

Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimise efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.

Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.

2. People Management

Lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams across the dark stores.

Conduct regular performance reviews, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.

Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that encourages high performance, ownership and accountability.

Address performance issues and implement corrective actions as needed.

3. Customer Satisfaction

Ensure consistent delivery of exceptional customer experience across all stores in the area by working with store staff, courier operations, and other cross-functional teams.

4. Communication and Collaboration

Foster effective communication channels between dark stores and the rest of the organisation.

5. Inventory Control and Management

Collaborate with the supply chain team to ensure smooth inventory flow and product availability.

Establish and maintain controls to minimise stock losses and disposals.

Establish and maintain controls to ensure in store items are available for sale on all platforms.

Establish and maintain in store quality control and assurance processes

6. Cash and Financial Management

Establish and maintain controls to ensure accurate cash management and reconciliation of cash on hand.

Establish and maintain controls to minimise the risk of cash shortages and theft.

Establish and maintain financial controls for the collection, safekeeping and upload of financial documents at store level.

Work with the Accountants to improve weekly / monthly financial reporting and submission of financial documents from stores.

7. Sales Leadership

Collaborate with the Marketing and Growth team to actively drive sales by developing and executing strategies that meet or exceed sales targets.
